We booked 2 rooms last minute for 1 night as we were headed over to Favignana but didn't want it to become a tour the force and this turned out to be the best treat. Staff is lovely and very accomodating, we could leave our buggage early, they have a vallet system for your car (at cost of course) which makes it very easy for you to explore about. The hotel renovation is tasteful and comfortable, it was in the centre but silence at night and with perfectly functioning and silent aircon to keep the summer heat at bay. Lots of attention to details in the room decor and beautiful area for breakfast trapani was a lovely surprise with great atmosphere at night, great restaurants, churches and more to explore.

Before we even checked in, we found Historico to be very helpful when we emailed them with questions. If you have a late flight coming in to Trapani-Birgi Airport, Historico can arrange a 30 euro taxi for you to remove the hassle of getting the bus. The area the hotel is situated in is beautiful and feels very safe. We arrived at around 11PM, and the front doors were open. This is unusual at this time, but we soon realised that the staff member at the desk, Filippo, was waiting inside to welcome us. It can be a little difficult in Italy for travellers to find their hotels, so we really appreciated this, especially given the late hour. Filippo then gave us excellent advice on where to eat, what to see, which bus to take and more. At the end of our trip, he even offered to store our luggage until we returned for it. This allowed us to visit Erice, which we found stunning. The room itself is jaw-dropping. The ceilings are about 20 feet high, the room is very spacious with a huge bed and beautiful bathroom. There’s even a balcony. Considering the Historico’s low prices, the room and service completely blew us away. We paid average prices for a 5-star experience, and we couldn’t be happier. I have absolutely no idea why this hotel has 3.5 stars and not 4.5/5. We have literally just arrived but first and foremost what a stunningly beautiful structure and hotel. I nearly didn’t book as I was put off by the reviews, hence the reason to write a review within 10 mins of getting our room. We arrived early morning to be greeted by the reception staff with a friendly smile and despite our room not being available this wasn’t a problem as they were happy to store our luggage so we could go and explore. The said to come back at a time which was and hour an half earlier than the official check in, the proceeded to give us the checking information so when we returned we could be shown straight to our room. Well what an amazing first impression, stunning room, on the second floor which displays original features from the historic Sicilian church that the building once was. The lobby area outside the room has comfy sofas and again beautiful architecture. Staff showed us to the room and explained everything. Rooms are fully equipped with a kitchen area, sofa and dining area, bedroom area and clean and function bathroom. Everything is decorated to an incredibly high spec, WiFi working perfectly (full service, not sure why the bad reviews on this previously)! Walked up to the pool areas which is amazing, gorgeous views of the rooftops of Sicily and the sea in the distance. Anyone afraid of booking please don’t hesitate like I did, ignore the bad reviews and book straight away you won’t be disappointed.

We stayed at this hotel for the final night of our bike tour of Sicily and it was absolutely great. The location is PERFECT, the rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfast area overlooking the sea is amazing (inside and outside seating). They offered all the usual Sicilian treats of pastries, meats, cheeses as well as eggs and bacon for the Americans! The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The front desk staff and manager were absolutely amazing and so kind. I had an accident and they rushed to help me and went above and beyond to make sure I was ok. I would DEFINITELY recommend looking no further and staying at lovely La Gancia. Thank you La Gancia.

I can end my review in one word - PERFECT! The location is just perfect - close to the old city, public transportation, the main attractions and the ferry boats port. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. Serena in the reception is amazing and extremely nice - from the first phone conversation and during all my stay. You can convey to her my compliments1 As being with many years of experience working in tourism, the online reservation process was also easy and perfect. My only one minor remark was the mattress in the bed. It is a bit hard, but after full and busy days, you just fall asleep... I will be back!

I stayed at this marvelous hotel from 18.July- 22.July. I travel a lot but this hotel really impressed me in so warm way:) There is bus going from Trapani airport and stops 300m from hotel. Hotel is located in central part of Trapani city and very close to beach and beautiful parks with lot of flowers and palms. Old town is just 10 minutes away by foot. Beach is just few minutes away. Main walking street with lot of shops and Gelato cafes is just 2 blocks away. When I arrived to hotel, I was so impressed by beauty around, I was happy already before enter reception. When I check inn, I noticed how friendly and helpful is stuff. I adore this personal approach, felt special from first minute. All days and everyone who is working here is very helpful, smiley, polite. Stuff is just gem of that place, each of them is real treasure and made my stay so special. I have double room in 2 floor. Room was very clean, lot of space, with nice art pieces on walls. Bed was very comfortable, I had good sleep here. Breakfast is super timing for those who love sleep more in vacation- from 7:00 - 11:00. There are lot of choice for those who love salty and sweet. You can try traditional Italian cakes. And all types of coffee drinks are available:) All stuff here is so polite and helpful- I enjoy every breakfast:) If You want to visit places around Trapani, reception will help You with information. I adore everything about this super hotel. Thank You for being so special, hotel Vittoria. Barbie from Latvia will never forget You and will come back 100%:) I suggest to everyone this place if You want expierence very special attitude:) Love love from smart Blonde:)
