It was one of the most memorable trips of mine. A solo workation trip transitioned into an amazing time with a lot of new people. Starry nights at the cafe, sunset views from the room itself and the amazing folks from different walks of life. Staying at Hostel Mantra was an absolutely great experience. I went post Diwali' 24 and shared the female dorm with 3 other women from different nations. I loved their Karaoke night. The highlight of my trip was the Sunrise Tour they took us on, to Baahubali hills and Badi lake. I had the most amount of fun during the same, met so many people and captured the beauty in Udaipur's morning hours, ending with a chatpata bfast with the group. The hostel is very artsy and has ample spaces for someone who wants to work, or chill or party ...it gives out some of the most gorgeous views of Sunset and Lake Pichola @ night. If you're planning a trip soon, book your stay here. I promise, you won't regret!!

Initially, I had booked Moustache after hearing a lot about their properties in Jodhpur, Jaisalmer & Jaipur. However, the one in Udaipur, has been the worst experience ever. We had booked two beds for 2 nights in a 6-bed mix dorm, however the crowd was alright, but the services were way below average. Thankfully, we were carrying disinfectants otherwise, I am sure we would have gotten infection from the dirty toilets which were smelling like open sewage tanks. Also, the moment we had checked in the toilet was already dirty, for which we requested re-cleaning, however the housekeeping staff just wiped the floor and left and did not even bothered to clean the washroom. Although, that being said, the rooftop view of the hostel is really great, but the seating areas of the rooftop restaurant is quite unclean as well, the lighting etc. of the restaurant as shown in the pictures did also not match, since most of the lights were not working. Overall, I had a terrible experience staying there, thankfully the next two days, I shifted to another hostel.

Everyone was sooo helpful and friendly and also ready reply and help, my stay was so comfortable because of all the staff specifically Mr. Bharat thank you for the wonderful hospitality and also thanks to mr. Ajay ji he was also kind and helpful. I must recommend Gostop for Udaipur best stay for solo and group , you gonna make your self comfortable quickly because of the staff and of course ambience❤️❤️ we are going to visit super soon ❤️

We stayed in this hotel for one night due to its proximity to main attractions of Udaipur. The staff seems courteous, and just a call away in case of any issue. However, how would you like it if they impose you a room whose bathroom stinks of SHI* a few hours after you check in? And the stink just gets more and more intense?? Well, the smell was very mild when we checked in, and they told us that it is possibly due to lack of ventilation. We believed them (our mistake). They used a freshener and the bathroom was bearable. But after a few hours, again the same thing. Again freshener was sprayed. We returned to hotel at night after sightseeing, and the smell was hell unbearable. Forget about our suffering due to smell while using the washroom, we had to keep its door tightly locked so that we can sleep!.. The smell was all there in the room !!! Pathetic experience.. Since it was just about one night, we had to go on with whatever it was. Next morning before checkout, we again asked them for freshener spray, which was done without delay. However, the smell was already so intensive that even the freshener was ineffective. We somehow used to bathroom for basics, by using masks. We Almost Puked While Brushing because of that Smell of Shi*... Oh God!!! If they say that they Do Not Even Know that their room 206 has any issues with Drainage, I will not believe them. They can't be ignorant of the severe drainage problems. Yet, to make their MONEY, they imposed that room to us. Dear Mr Manager, such acts are not appropriate, and are unethical. You could have provided us a room with higher tariff, that was not a problem at all. But you should have ensured our comfort first. Please do not even make the rooms with drainage issues available for anyone, even if they cost low. What you did, is nothing but making a fool of others. It was a very SAD experience for my sister and I.
