Abbey Lodge Hotel

The Abbey Lodge Hotel was our choice of stay in High Wycombe simply because of the price. To be completely honest, when we arrived I was surprised. Plenty of free parking behind the hotel, in the reception ( which is manned 24hrs) is a fridge for cold drinks, which you ask the staff for. The bottled water is £1 and varied soft drinks at £2. We were greeted by a very cheerful lady, who let us check in at 12 instead of 2, which again is surprising . Our room was a nice size, with a double bed, 2 bedside cabinets, flat screen tv , tea / coffee facility and aircon. Shower over bath with toiletries and towels supplied. The bed was really comfortable. Breakfast is pretty standard of cooked or cereals and is self service in a basement dining room Located really close to the town centre but don't believe apple maps because it says a 17 minute walk, just go out the front door, turn right and 5 minutes ( at most) later, you are in town. All of the staff we encountered were lovely. All in all an excellent place to stay

At first view of hotel and room when booked seemed lovely but on close inspection the pillows were flat very very warm unable to breath only 1 full window but was unless a fan was in the room but due to alot of dust it didn't cool the room down Also limescale in bottom of kettle plus the milk was certainly gone off which caused my self and my grandson who is only (10 ) to feel unwell and sick Our room was located at the back of the hotel which was very untidy and crawling with rats which could have easily climbed up the metal railings that were out the back and into our room which we had to close the window just incase really disappointing. The reception has the cheek to ring my stepdaughter stating we had been smoking in the room as it smelt of cigetettes which we had not we went OUTSIDE round the back to our room Also had the nerve to say if the smell doesn't clear they will charging us a £75 penalty I'm sorry but with the rats and dirt from there we will be getting in touch with environmental health . It shouldn't be open 3star haha close it down Do not stay at this hotel !!!!!
Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe

The staff in this hotel are so welcoming. Outstanding service and friendly all round. There is in my opinion a couple of staff who should be recognised for their above and beyond service making guests feel more than welcome. Ella, Sarah, Vaz and Charmaine. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Even the bar staff must include” Steve” are happy to give you an enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone Oh! by the way. The standard of food in this hotel is exceptionally good quality. A beautiful complimentary breakfast and menu. 24/7. Well done all.
Wendover Arms Hotel

Firstly the positives The hotel has a good location, plenty of free parking (register your registration however) and the staff were polite and helpful. The hotel looks to be undergoing some refurbishment and the block I stayed in is relatively new (some fittings were left on thr floor in the block. Some comments on this 1) hallways need clear signs to direct you to the correct floor for your room 2) rooms - I stayed in 19, some points for improvement - no furniture in room, could do with a wardrobe to hang your clothes, a bedside cabinet, and a chair - I ended up having to put my stuff on the second bed, not possible if there are two of you. No plug sockets near kettle area - ended up balancing kettle on radiator No shaver socket in bathroom Mismatched cups and poor presentation of coffee/tea items No bath mat for shower. Would suggest not putting soaps in paperboxes inside the shower cubicle storage area - end up getting wet Food - No restaurant currently active on site
Holiday Inn High Wycombe M40, Jct. 4

Although the room is small and well-equipped, British hotels also maximize the use of space. The room is small, very compact, clean and hygienic, and the details of the room are user-friendly, such as the window switch handle with a limit design; the quality of the bedding can be compared to an English breakfast Simple, with vegetables🥬, fruits, bacon, coffee machine with many types of coffee, and hot milk options; warm service at the front desk; car number registration required at the front desk; convenient parking; spacious yard, green plant fence, and autumn colors. We rented a car at London Heathrow Airport and drove to the hotel at night. It was our first time to drive a right-hand drive car in the UK. The car and the road were unfamiliar. We drove many times on the road near the hotel. Finally, we asked for directions at a nearby gas station⛽️. Come on, the lady volunteered to drive and lead us to the hotel entrance. The appearance of the hotel does not have the green color of the holiday inn shown by Ctrip. There are no neon lights at night. The hotel does not have many floors and is difficult to find on the highway.
High Wycombe Central

The location of the hotel is very good, there are two big supermarkets, two big shopping malls, and a pedestrian street within 200 meters, which is very convenient for shopping and eating. The hotel is very new, with central air-conditioning (rarely available in the UK) and elevator, and breakfast is good. There is a double bed and a single bed in the room, suitable for two large and one small.
