Hipotels Cala Millor Park

Decided to try Mallorca for a 10 day break so opted for this hotel, the only reservation I had was the only room type on offer from Jet2 was an Economy Double Room, I should not have worried. The room was clean, faily spacious and had a good view of Cala Millor Beach and the sea ( see photo attached ). Throughout the hotel everything was spotless and the staff walked round with a friendly smile on thier faces. Food was good but at busy times the restaurant could be bit of an obstacle course as service was Buffet only. Wine was not the best on the All Inclusive Package but there were other options and this could possibly be down to my taste. Entertainment on an evening was good and varied and as it happened we were there during the week long Festival of Tourism (49th year) and this was an added bonus. Overall enjoyed the holiday but just have one comment on the room, there was plenty of wardrobe space but the room itself lacked any drawers for me to keep my medication but just a minor irritant.

A very nice hotel, one of the best we have stopped at. With a lovely pool area and a couple tennis courts. The only problem is the resort of Cala Millor isn't very attractive but if you want nice place to stay onsite then this hotel ticks all the boxes

Excellent hotel, fabulous food and always plenty of choice to suit everyone. Staff, without exception, were friendly and attentive. Cleanliness was top class throughout. Location couldn't have been better, with the shopping street at the front and a gate (from the lovely pool area) took you quickly to the beach. Side sea view was very nice from our large balcony. Room was well equiped (a coffee/tea tray would have been good, but the tiniest detail) Great bathroom and shower. Fab cocktails and drinks choices in the hotel at sensible prices. Lots of nice bars close by too. Some reviews mention the hotel has mainly German guests, we didn't find this a problem at all. Jet 2 were excellent (as always). I would return here without any problem. Thanks to everyone in the hotel, we had a wonderful time!

Great location, close to beach, shops and local restaurants. Hotel was clean and tidy, staff friendly however rooms could do with some modernisation My room was ground floor which was spacious in block 3 and accommodated us comfortably . The cleaner came daily and made beds etc and changed towels if we required them changing. However there was mould on the ceiling just as you entered room and the bathroom was small but had a musky smell. Again mould appearing on the ceiling tiles and droplets of water on ceiling tiles. The only ventilation was a very small window which we just left open all the time so it didn’t smell of damp so much. The rooms could also do with a little kettle and a mini fridge in them as if you are an early riser and fancied a cuppa you had to wait for the onsite restaurant which was across the road to open at 8am to get a hot drink. We brought some bottles of water but again even though it was late October they went warm rather quickly hence why a mini fridge would be handy. The main restaurant served a variety of food basic but something for everyone. Unfortunately there was only a few tables set out for 4 people majority was for 2 people, this caused difficulty for us as a family of 5 and a few times we sat separately as it was busy. They seemed short staffed in the restaurant most of the time particularly at breakfast we were awaiting tables to be cleaned and they ran out of cups and glasses. The bar areas again were short staffed and at both the main bar and pool bar there was often a queue for drinks. Possibly for the future they could look into having the tea/coffee and the fizzy drinks machine self serve as this would reduce the queue at the bars. Also they could invest in some bigger reusable cups as the cups were small probably just smaller than half a pint. Most people ended up getting two drinks each time to save you getting up because of the queue. The evening entertainment was good, Elena is very friendly and comes round and talks to everyone. There was bingo, quizzes and karaoke. The pool bar was closed a few times too with no explanation as to why it was closed. There were plenty of people sitting around the pool but we had to cross the road to go to the main bar in block 2 to get drinks, this was in the daytime too. Overall we had a nice relaxing week at this hotel. However if the few tweaks to the room, restaurant and bars were changed then we would consider returning to this hotel.

Overall, my stay at the hotel had its highlights but also a number of areas that could be improved. Starting with the positives, the location is convenient for those who enjoy a quieter area. Access to the public beach is just across La Rambla, which is pedestrian-only, so there’s no need to worry about traffic. The beach itself is decent but may not be ideal for everyone. Much of the beachfront near the hotel is rocky, with only a few safe access points to the water. This often leads to crowding in these small spots. If you're traveling with small children, I would recommend the Alcudia area, especially around El Muro Beach, where the conditions are better suited for young kids. There are also two supermarkets within 20 meters of the hotel, which was a convenient bonus. The swimming pool, however, is quite small, so if you're planning to spend a lot of time lounging by the water, this might not be the best option for you. The food at the restaurant was generally good, especially if you enjoy Spanish cuisine, though I might be slightly biased in that regard. On the downside, while some of the restaurant staff were extremely professional and friendly, a few were less courteous, which detracted from the overall dining experience. One of my main concerns was the air conditioning in my room, which didn’t function properly. I reported the issue to the front desk, but the only response I received was some instructions that ultimately did not resolve the problem. This led to an uncomfortable first night, and while the cooler outdoor temperatures helped on subsequent nights, I would have appreciated better support from the hotel staff. Additionally, there were security concerns. The door leading to the rambla was often left unlocked, making it easy for anyone from outside to enter the swimming pool area. Lastly, while the hotel clearly caters to a large German clientele, I feel that the focus on one specific market creates a somewhat imbalanced atmosphere. Staff often spoke German to us by default, which could be off-putting for non-German-speaking guests. It would be great to see the hotel strive for a more diverse and inclusive atmosphere, welcoming guests from other European countries as well. Public transportation is easy and convenient. The A32 bus from the airport costs under 8 euros and takes about 1.5 hours. You can simply use a contactless credit card to tap in and out of the bus for each passenger over 2 years old, which made getting around hassle-free. In summary, while there are conveniences to this hotel, there are also some critical issues that need addressing. Depending on what you’re looking for, this may or may not be the best choice for your stay.
Senator Cala Millor

I booked the Senator in Cala Millor for a 6 night break for myself to chill out and relax. I knew the area and the fact that the hotel is right in the middle of restaurants, shops and bars and 10 yards from the beach and so this made it a perfect location. I loved the room design and the lovely walk in shower. Vegan toiletries are provided so no need to take any with you. There’s also a hairdryer and, best of all, a fridge in the room along with tea and coffee making facilities. There’s a large tv but I struggled to find any English channels. Small criticism was the lack of plug sockets next to the bed to plug my phone in overnight. These were on the other side of the room. I also had no outside balcony or view but that was fine. The bed was amazingly comfortable and, although the hotel was quite full it was very quiet. I loved the rooftop pool which was perfect for cooling down in. At only 90cm deep it’s not really for swimming in. The hotel had a fair few books available in the lobby which was great for me as I read a lot on holiday. The only downside with the hotel was the lack of food available. They did a limited continental breakfast in the ground floor restaurant from 8-10.30 but there was no lunch or evening food and nothing available from the poolside bar either. Whether this was coming later in the season I don’t know. I believe the hotel is adults only too which I hadn’t realised when booking but which probably helped with the peace and quiet. The hotel appeared to have mainly German customers in the 6 days I was there. The rooms were cleaned every day and the whole place was very clean and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly too.
