I thought I was in a bad movie. At the beginning I was stayed in a room, because neither heating nor climate worked. In the room it was about 18 degrees cold. Ok, it can happen, I take a hot shower - but warm water is not there this evening - the lift worked temporarily this day nor. At the reception you knew, but nothing happened. After two very cold nights I got a new room - heating did not work there - it remained very cold. A cleaner still told me “problem throughout the hotel”. I had warm water also in the new room from there two nights only once. The “Premium room” had many use traces - otherwise it is very useful. Wi-Fi is useless, not even emails can be sent. In addition, the cleaning team came in at the door despite the 2x sign... A plus is breakfast, cool and delicious offer and very nice staff. Shame such people must work in such a hotel, they can't do anything for the disaster service and they must serve poorly loaded guests at breakfast. I would certainly never stay in Krefeld in this hotel - I can't recommend it by my best will.

There was 8 nights for work, the room was clean, there was TV, free Wi-Fi, just enter every time and you just have to accept the terms. The bathroom is a little small, but it is enough, unfortunately it comes smell from the pipes. The room lacks a terrace (but this hotel does not provide it) and a refrigerator (this is an important lack), but has a air conditioner. The service is very good, reception from 6.00 to 10.00, but somebody stays inside, even in the holidays. Large parking on the back, and I have to say that it is easily filled, this hotel is very frequent, and has three floors of rooms. I am a little disappointed about the prices, because from about 66 Euros per night with breakfast not included I think it's a little bit, but here we are in Germany and perhaps this is the standard. Breakfast requires a surppreciation of 8,50, and it is too much. The buffet is quite large, but not at the level of other hotels. It's all automated, there is a coffee/cappuccino machine and it's a self-service. Nominally breakfast starts at 6.30, but even if you arrive before you find everything ready. In fact, there is one person who carries the food and I already believe it at 6.00. The defect of this hotel is that there is a bar missing, where they might be able to make you coffee or cappuccino at the moment. However, this may be the standard in Germany, here we are not in Italy, but also in the Czech Republic or Poland where I have seen better breakfast services. Another major lack of this hotel is the absence of a Laundry Service, if you stop for a week or more you need to fit your clothes to go 400 metres where there is a jet washing machine. At the end this hotel is not the top, but it is not even bad.

The breakfast was not included in the order. I went to the hotel and asked the waiter. They said that they included breakfast, so if you want to consult anything, you should go to the store or call and ask.

Stayed at the hotel pre Covid. Visiting friends in Krefeld, ideal location on tram line to the centre of town and main station. Unfortunately due to staffing issues since Covid, bar not open in the evenings., otherwise an excellent stay.

I liked it very much. The hotel is located next to the main train station. It was clean in the room. Free wifi. Everything I needed was in the room and in the bathroom. It was just a bit complicated to check in at the machine. But it worked out in the end, just be patient. The breakfast was good. Great for the price. I can recommend the hotel.
Mercure Tagungs & Landhotel Krefeld

There really is nothing physically wrong with this property. A nice looking property that is not really old and with decent facilities. Guest rooms are a bit small but appropriate for the Mercure brand and quit well appointed and A/C that works. No, the issues are all related how this property is run. The rooms, especially the bathrooms are simply not clean, with dirty toilets and mold on the tile. The wall mounted shampoo container was empty upon arrival and never replenished. If one takes a closer look at the overall quality of housekeeping in the rooms, once comes to the conclusion that it really is quite terrible. The carpets in the public areas are dirty and in desperate need of shampooing or replacing. The property has a ” great room” that is used for meetings and get togethers. But it is also used for screaming children early in the morning, although this room is surrounded by an atrium arrangement with many guest rooms. Net, net - this property needs to either step up or find a new management company. The only positive I can come up with is that the front desk staff is friendly and helpful.
