Tropical Paradise
3.8/575 Reviews
We did not stay at this hotel, but we went on a snorkeling trip with Chris and Jeremy, which was spectacular. Chris was very funny!! Both of them were very polite and kind. Chris even dragged someone that couldn't snorkel on her own. I also want to give a shout out to Henry, who set this all up and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. We loved Henry!! Thanks for a great time! We will be back, Terry and Donna.
The Caye Hotel
4.2/546 Reviews
The hotel has an excellent location, with comfortable beds and clean rooms. The balcony was a nice touch, and the rooftop space had potential, but it wasn't being utilized—there was no bartender available to order a cocktail. When we requested an iron, we were told there was only one in the hotel and that we would need to borrow it from another guest, which felt unusual. Breakfast is not offered on-site, but the hotel directs guests to two nearby restaurants within walking distance. Namaste was my favorite, with healthy options and delicious smoothies. Unfortunately, the customer service at the hotel was disappointing. The front desk staff, consisting of a younger and an older woman, were unwelcoming. They didn't greet guests as they approached and often appeared to be frowning. On my second day, when I asked the younger woman a question, she avoided eye contact, keeping her attention on her phone, which made me feel ignored. Improving the front desk's customer service with some basic training in soft skills would greatly enhance the overall guest experience. Simple gestures like eye contact, a smile, and a warm greeting could make a big difference.
Anchorage Beach Resort Caye Caulker
4/543 Reviews
Where to start about this Anchorage resort.. first off the listing shows the property close to the split if you look at the star on the map. It is literally the furthest resort away from the split. Totally disappointed when we first showed up. We got the and low and behold they couldn't find our reservations. Ended up putting us in a room that hadn't been cleaned yet with towels and bed unmade. We got a new room that was 2 twin beds instead of a king bed because they didn't clean it and everyone went home.. we rented bikes from there for our first night only for the bike to break down on my with the pedal bearings falling out and the chain to not stay on more than 3 pedals. Had to walk it back from the split. Talked to one of the guys in charge the night before we left and he said he would give us a ride to the airport for money. Our flight was at 715am. He said he would meet us outside at 630. We waited until 640 before we ended up having to walk us and our luggage to the airport.. got to my parents house that live in the reserve belize and realized I forgot my money bag under the mattress in the room bc you definately dont want to leave anything out. Contacted the manager and let him know. He said they are cleaning the room now(11am) and if they don't find it he will go up and find it and ship it to dangriga. Called later at 2pm and he said call back in the morning to make sure it shipped. Called back in the morning for him to say oh they didn't find anything under the mattress. Someone else has stayed in there now so they might have taken it.. nothing they can do about it. It was our responsibility and our fault. I agree but at the time I called. 11am and 2pm he easily could have found it and also said to call back in the morning to make sure it shipped. $1000 cash in a money bag. I would have given this place zero stars if I could. Proposed to my now fiancè on our stay and was super disappointed to bring her back to this place. 100% would never recommend..
La Isla Resort
4.3/551 Reviews
We visit Caye Caulker every year in February and multiple years We have stayed at La Isla. The staff there is wonderful and is a big part of the reason why we return each year. The location is one of the best on the island. You will find yourself centrally located within walking distance of dozens of restaurants and not far from the water taxi. The hotel has a lovely courtyard with a nice pool and pool deck and every evening in the courtyard they host the bonfire. Just across the small street is the private beach and dock. There are kayaks and paddle boards available as well as thick cushions to put on the lounge chairs at the beach has an added bonus. The staff will carry all those things to the beach for you. The pricing on the rooms is very fair, and the resort has a variety of room options. They have about 50% of the rooms that as an American I would consider a typical Belizean hotel room the rooms are simple and very functional, not fancy. The other 50% of the rooms are more upscale for a Belize experience, many of these rooms are suites, or have a kitchenette. The pictures that they offer on their website are very good guidelines as to what you would expect in your room when you arrive. Enjoy your time in Caye Caulker!
Jan's Hotel

The room was very clean and the staff were amazing. From the ride to the hotel from the Belize Express water taxi to the ride to the airport a week later, Gabriel was always there for us! My partner and I are in our 60's and she got heat stroke a couple of times. Gabriel and Sara (front desk) went above and beyond to take care of her and get the medical attention she needed so our trip wasn't cut short. At night the friendly security guard keeps a watchful eye on everything. There are a couple of 2 seat kayaks and a pair of bikes available to use during the day. They have a beach area with nice seating across from the property and a Pier with seating at the end and easy entry to the water to swim. The Split is just a couple of blocks away and there are numerous restaurants, dive shops, gift shops, convenience stores and bars within easy walking distance. We could not have been happier with the property, staff and location. We will definitely return again!
DreamCabanas
4.6/541 Reviews
My wife and I traveled to Caye Caulker for 5 days. Dream Cabanas was a wonderful place to stay while in Caye Caulker. The room was large enough for the both of us. It had AC and a fan for when the weather got hot. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was great for the both of us. The room had a coffee machine and small refrigerator which was very useful. I really enjoyed the layout outside of the rooms. It has a jungle vibe to it. Each room has a porch with chairs where I sat every morning and had coffee. This is also a gated area, where you need a key to get into the hotels, which made us feel even more safe. The staff was the best part of the place. Extremely friendly and sociable. They helped us with setting up taxis to the airport from Belize City. They were always very helpful and accommodating. The location is very nice. It is a short walk to the main roads. It is not located on the crowded streets, which made it more peaceful. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.
