The Standard, Hua Hin

The Hotel is beautiful with lovely well maintained grounds positioned on the sea front. It is certainly of a standard that is hard to beat. The staff have obviously been very well picked to provide a good friendly service throughout the hotel. Breakfast was varied and to a high standard with both western and Thai food and the restaurant was positioned by the pool on the sea front. There are several bars in the grounds and a fully furnished gym with dressing rooms, lockers and shower facilities. There are bungalows on the premises plus larger blocks with very well presented modern rooms with excellent showers and good quality wash products. There is also a nice balcony complete with 2 chairs and table. The beds are comfortable with good linen and the lovely thick towels were changed twice daily. Air conditioning was good also and for once there was no problem with the door keys which you find in some hotels. The lifts were quick which was good as we were on the 6th floor. The pool area has many comfortable sun loungers of different types and seats which are also on the grass plus positioned around the pool. The pool itself however was not as large as it first appeared to be. You need to enter the pool very carefully as there are no hand rails and the steps are slippy. Half of the pool is taken up by the steps so there is only half to actually swim in. There are 3 steps then a gap of 3 feet so you think you have reached the bottom but then more steps which are hard to see as the tiles are all blue. This is a fantastic Hotel however and we will certainly be returning.

The hotel is an about 5-10mins from hua hin night market or major shopping centres. So you’ll need to commute back and forth if you want to do some shopping or for meals outside of the hotel but taxis ain’t easy to get during busy hours. We booked two rooms with garden view. The rooms felt a bit old and our boys got really bad mosquito bites all over their face, arms and legs (So beware if you are travelling with kids). There were many activities for kids (badminton, swimming, mini football, kids room) but you do need to queue for your turn as the hotel was busy. Breakfast was buffet styled and the food was ok (but nothing too spectacular) with plenty of local and western options. The spa was very good. I had a deep tissue massage and I just felt so relaxed and slept through half of the treatment. Overall, a well established resort in hua hin with a more traditional or old-school feel to it. If you are looking for a more modern resorts with newer facilities, then this may not be the place for you.

Khao Takiab
The overall experience is rather mediocre. It wasn’t as good as I expected, but wasn’t as bad as it could be. The location of the resort and the amenities that the resort was definitely beyond my expectations. Location of where the resort located on the beach was good. Can see Khao Takiap clearly. Right outside the gate of the resort, there’s a little weekend market too. Should definitely consider this when picking the date to check in. The overall view of sunset there is amazing. The pool facilities are great. We didn’t bring any kids, but definitely great for kids. There’re good facilities for little as well as teenagers. The overall experience walking around the resort was also great. There’s a overall sense of excitement when walking amongst the oriental style building there. Honestly, the resort offers a lot of activities. Even if didn’t go out from the resort, you definitely wouldn’t feel bored. The service is the part that makes us feel a bit upset. We expected better. For size of resort, it’s nice that they provide escort services to the room. For the activities they offer in such a big resort, they should’ve showed us where everything is and told us about the activities they offered. Although the information is on the stack of papers they put on the table, it’s still nice that the staff would’ve introduced to us. Didn’t tell us clearly what time which facilities are opened for service or closed. We just have to rely on ourselves and figured out everything. When we were using the swimming pool facilities, there were some staff specifically asked us our room number, though we didn’t even ask for anything. Didn’t see that being a pattern for other groups, just us. Didn’t know the reason behind this action. At the moment, felt a bit offended. Overall the resort felt pretty clean. Just one of the pillows on the bed smells really funny. Maybe the house keeping team should pay more attention.
Best Western Plus Carapace Hotel Hua Hin

Best Western Plus Carapace Hotel Hua Hin is located at Khao Tao Beach, good location, convenient transportation. Best Western Plus Carapace Hotel Hua Hin is a recently opened hotel. I must say that this place is a very responsive. For family lines, groups of friends and people with small pets Because there are 380 rooms, divided into 10 Room Types and there is also a children and adults water park, a beachfront pool and a beach cafe. Meet the needs of all types of customers. This time, I stayed at the Deluxe Pool Terrace, a room on the ground floor of the building. This room is similar. Pool Access is different in front of the balcony, there is a seating area, aside from the space to have a walking area into the pool. It is quite safe for families with young children and quiet for couples. Or people who want Private relaxation The first part of the room is a wardrobe, mini bar corner, tea and coffee. The sliding door is closed and open between the bedrooms. to increase privacy The bedroom is decorated in a comfortable color tones to relax. Great family room. Spacious, clean and comfy. Breakfast was amazing. So much choice. The complimentary tokens to use in exchange for food at the water park was an added bonus. Really loved the sky bar too. A great stay! Photo is from the sky bar.

Hua Hin Night Market
First time in Hua Hin and this Hilton. Although it’s slightly old, it’s still well maintained and has everything you need. They provides Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries. Location is convenient with 7-11, lots of eateries and massage centers. Love the view from our room. Pool is great. The breakfast has a good inerntaitonal spread. Staff are friendly and courteous.
The Spirit Resort Hua Hin

A fully private type villa type resort built on a gentle slope at the foot of a small hill (with a large rock wall suitable for the name of Hua Hin). Quietness that doesn't seem to be 15 minutes from the central town of Hua Hin. It has a large pool enough to swim in all rooms in a fully individual building and a rooftop deck with a wide 々. From the deck, the sea ahead can be seen from about 2 ㎞. Although various facilities are not substantial like large resorts, it is good to relax in the room. COVID-19 From the viewpoint of countermeasures, it is safe because there are few opportunities to contact others compared to ordinary hotels. There are cottages in the resort, so there are labyrinths like a maze, but it was a good jogging course for me. Only one restaurant and bar is standard level of 4 star resort in Thailand. There is also a large shared pool next to the restaurant. The movement in the resort is not much to walk, but if you call, a free golf cart will come to pick you up. Even in the smallest type of one bedroom (155 m2) I stayed this time, it is a splendid single building with a large living room and kitchen cherry dining space. There were also refrigerator sink tableware, but there were no microwave oven, stove, knife and mana plates. My house brought color 々 purchase at the shopping center in Hua Hin. The bathroom was large (double bowl) and the bathtub and shower were separate 々, and both hot water was plentiful (it was Thailand, but it was not poor water). There were two TVs, and the channel did not check, but it was a smart television, so we spent watching Netflex with a personal computer. You can access taxis from the center of Huwahin, but as mentioned above, the facilities are limited, so if you stay multiple nights, you can rent a car or rent a bike for visiting the center of Huwahin and surrounding tourist destinations I want a foot to move by myself. I visited by car because I live in Bangkok. The whole resort is surrounded by a raft and there is a 24-hour guard, so there is no security concern, including parking. English is not fluent, but the menu and various explanations are also written in English, but generally not a resort for travelers from overseas The customer layer is also centered on the small rich Thailand in Bangkok, and the feeling that there is a Thailand person with the Thailand person is less 々. In addition, this resort seems to have been 1 - 2 years since it opened, but the name seems to have been changed once.
Chom View Hotel, Hua Hin

We have stayed in many places in Hua Hin on multiple visits. Here is what you need to know about Chom View. Room: The family rooms are great and spacious with a fridge, microwave, cups, bottle opener, knife, utensils and plates and bowls. I would recommend paying a little extra for ocean view as that has you right on the pool/beach. Breakfast: Skip it! Coffee is awful. Selection isn’t great. The breakfast wasn’t good and most things were out an hour before breakfast ended and you had to wait a long time for a refill. With the mini kitchen in the room you are better of buying yogurt and such and eating ok your beach view balcony. If you must have the hotel breakfast we learned that you can order yogurt and scrambled eggs directly from the kitchen. Beach: The tide is high in the morning so there is no beach to speak of until about 3pm. After 3pm you have a lovely flat beach to run and play on. Location: As frequent visitors to Thailand and motorbike riders the location was fine. Cicada market, Tamarind food Market (only open Thursday-Sunday) and a few other Restaurants are walkable. Otherwise you’ll need to get a taxi/tuk tuk to other sites in Hua Hin which is super easy with a taxi stand right outside the hotel. Staff: In the “Land of Smiles” hospitality is usually top notch. At Chom View the staff seemed more aloof. Although it is fair to say we did not engage them much as we know our way around Hua Hin. Our family of 4 would certainly stay at Chom View again.
