Amazing and charming stay If you intend to visit Erskilstuna, the perfect option for stay is the lovely Clarion Hotel Bolinger Munktell. A charming hotel with amazing staff: very nice, warmly and keen to help. Before we arrived, I have a perfect communication through booking apps with Lina who was very concern to resolve efficiently all my questions and problems. The staff at the reception was very friendly, giving us all the details, we need, even recommendations about the tea, the check-in was smooth and fast. The room was spotless clean, carefully made and we found a nice welcome note from Eliza. The hotel offer tea and coffee all day long and in the afternoon a very Swedish Fika with cookies and pastries. Also the staff at the restaurant was very attentive, always smiling and constantly asking if we need anything, All my congratulations for the Chef, I have a special diet and he made it very tasty and healthy. A note for the history lovers: the hotel offer free entry at Munktell Museum, and also the Hotel is almost an extension of the Museum, well decorated with historical industrial equipment and photos related to Munktell history. A big thanks to all the people from Clarion Bolinder Munktell Hotel, from the reception to restaurant and cleaning, for making us a charming and perfect holiday plenty of joyeuse memory. And I am pretty sure the staff ordered for us a magical snow like in the Nordic fairy tales.

I stayed here for 10 nights recently, to be honest the rooms are a bit small, the decor is a bit dated and needs an update, the bathroom sink was tiny not enough room for cleaning your teeth. On a positive note the breakfast was good with loads of choice, good free gym, reasonable Wi-Fi, I would have given this 3 star but due to the Great staff I have given it 4 stars ⭐️ Would I return? Yes probably for a short stay but not for a long one unless I had a bigger room, slightly claustrophobic in the single rooms.

Nice little hotel right by the E4, yet quiet and peaceful. Right next door to a Max and a McDonald's and a petrol station in sight too. Staff very friendly and helpful. No problems with late check-in. Room clean and OK size. It was also quiet when we were there, but very warm (no air conditioning). Breakfast is not the best and there was no lactose free alternative to any dairy product.
Scandic Stora Hotellet

I stayed a night during my road trip. My plan was to find a comfortable hotel with good breakfast and parking facilities. Scandic Store Hotelier met all my criteria. The room was nice and recently renovated. The parking (cost 100 SEK) was just behind the hotel with direct access to the building. The parking lot even had charging stations for electric vehicles, which I appreciated a lot. If I had to find something negative, it would be the lack of proper air condition in the room. It was an extremely hot day and the sun had blasted the room to extreme temperatures when I arrived. Luckily I was able to vent the room by opening the window at night, when it was a bit cooler. Otherwise I had a good stay.

Comfort Hotel Eskilstuna

From Oslo to Stockholm 550km, made this way with a night in the old town of Exilstuna in Comfort Hotel Eskilstuna Hamngatan. The town is sweet, sorry to walk. The hotel is located on the river bank, opposite a beautiful cathedral with a high plum. Comfortable, comfortable and spacious rooms, beautiful breakfasts. The windows went out on the embankment, they write that in summer-autumn there are often young drunk-walking drunks and very noisy. But we were lucky – on the occasion of the winter was quiet, they slept perfectly, they had a great rest and went on in excellent mood. From here another 100km to Stockholm.

Service: No disposable slippers. No bottled water. Everything else is fine. Hygienic: clean and tidy. Facilities: Disposable slippers seem to be a problem with Swedish unity? Accommodation is not cheap

The hotel is super expensive and the price is not high, but there seems to be no other hotels available in the town. The breakfast was not bad, with salmon, it was the only one of the 7 hotels in Sweden (including Scandic, Marriott, etc.) that had salmon. There is a parking lot at the entrance of the hotel. I arrived at the hotel before eight in the evening. But when I politely asked the front desk about parking, the old gentleman told me that I can only park until 8 o'clock tomorrow morning and I must drive away to find another place, and I must go to a nearby supermarket to get a parking permit. So with doubts, we went to a nearby supermarket 150 meters away. The result, together with the supermarket attendants and local customers, was very strange, saying that parking in this small town is free for unlimited time. There is no parking permit in the supermarket. There is a free parking meter that can be put on the car. And this time counter is available in my car. Then he ignored the old man's request for parking. Checked out at ten o'clock the next day and found that other cars in the parking lot did not drive away. The rooms are so-so, with a somewhat antique feel. The appearance of the entire hotel is very ordinary, but the layout of the shop is very particular. There are classical paintings on the floor and many decorations that seem to be medieval. There is a church not far from the hotel entrance, as shown in the picture. The landmark Glip Castle is also within easy reach.
Clarion Collection Hotel Kompaniet

I stayed two nights at the Clarion Collection Hotel Kompaniet. I was very confused. Was this hotel a Nordic Choice hotel? Was it a Strawberry hotel? Was it a Clarion? Was it a Choice? It used to be Nordic Choice, which has or had an affiliate with Choice internationally. So, in theory, I should have status or points because of Choice. But Nordic Choice is now Strawberry. Yet, the hotel is still branded Clarion. Clarion is a Choice brand. At the same time, it is also called Hotel Kompaniet, which makes it sound more of a boutique or independent hotel. This confusion over brand identity and marketing was apparent and evident across the hotel. While the lobby looks renovated and has a more upscale, boutique feel to it, the bar and restaurant feel like a low-end buffet. Because the breakfast and dinner is free, guests rush the buffet just like a cruise ship or cheap all-inclusive resort. Some of the guests, especially kids and sports teams, were like pigs and going back to the buffet two or three times. The food is mostly low-quality. Worse than airport lounge food. More like school or hospital cafeteria food. Especially at breakfast. The scrambled eggs were watery. The juices were watered down. I did not see any fresh berries. At night, dinner was barbecue chicken, a rice or some sort of grain, and a couple salads. I did not see any desserts. Staff worked hard and were very polite. Most or all of them spoke English. But they were overwhelmed. It was like a hotel factory with all the guests at the buffet. The front desk clerks are also the bartenders, which causes a line at the front desk when they are working at the bar or a line at the bar when they are working the front desk. While the included breakfast and dinner is appreciated, I think the hotel would be better off having a menu with table service. Guests would eat less food, costs would probably be reduced, and the quality might be better. There has to be a better and more civilized way to do the restaurant. It In terms of my room. It was on the fourth floor and had a nice view of the grounds looking toward the river. While the lobby and even the hallway to my room looked renovated or refreshed, the room itself felt a little older. Some of the furniture was scratched, damaged, or just worn. There were zero working USB outlets. I said ”working” because there was one USB outlet on the side of the desk. However, it did not work. In the year 2023 you expect multiple accessible USB outlets to charge your devices. The three or four electrical outlets were in good locations but the design was poor. You could not easy use an international power adaptor due to the placement of the outlets. You also could not plug-in power adaptors for an Apple computer because of the design. This is just unacceptable. How did the designer of the rooms not test the design? Missing from my room were a telephone. Who am I supposed to call if there is an emergency? Why is there no telephone? There also was not an a
