Siargao Seasky Resort
4.3/5160 Reviews
We had a fantastic time at Seasky Resort! The staff were super friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The resort is in a great location—peaceful and close to Siargao’s main attractions. Our room was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The pool was a highlight, offering beautiful views of the ocean. We also loved the food at the restaurant—it was fresh and delicious. Overall, Seasky Resort was the perfect place for both adventure and relaxation. We can’t wait to come again.
Club Tara Island Resort

My goals for this holiday trip was peace and quiet away from any crowds, and I got just that here. The island is really remote, so be prepared for that. It took a 1.5 hour boat ride from Sairgao to reach the resort but once here, it was super relaxing. The resort itself is dated but still comfortable. The bed slept well and the over the water hit had the best view of the cove 24hr a day. In the room, you have a fridge for items that you bring with you, a balcony, and a separate bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and shower. Bring your own toiletries as they do want to protect the environment and only provide soap and shampoo. The resort offered a day trip to nearby cases and coves (non-stinging jellyfish!) that was lovely. You also have free use of kayaks and paddle boards. I brought my own snorkeling gear with me and water shoes. The ground is rocky to get into the water, so you might need them. The menu at the resort is simple but good. Anything chicken was the best! Make sure you bring cash for everything as credit card are shown to be accepted but aren’t. You will need to pay cash for everything. Also note that this is a remote part of the island so the is nothing around and you are surrounded by wildlife, which is exactly what I wanted. Keep that in mind when you book! I recommend taking the tour to see the jellyfish (non-stinging) and caves. It was amazing.
Dahun Villas Siargao powered by Cocotel

Title: A Home Away from Home at Dahun Villa I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dahun Villa, and it was an unforgettable experience. The villa boasts a serene atmosphere and a unique architecture that utilizes indigenous materials, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the beautiful surroundings of Siargao. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, were the gracious owners and their attentive staff. The German owner was able to connect with my fiancé on a personal level, while the local owner shared our passion for sports, such as freediving. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home, and they even went above and beyond by introducing us to their friends who are business owners in Siargao. Dahun Villa's immaculate rooms and facilities were another highlight of our stay, providing the perfect space to unwind and recharge. Their adorable little ”Peter Parker” kiddo also brought a delightful energy to the place. Our experience at Dahun Villa not only inspired us to explore more of Siargao's beauty but also to consider setting up our own business to prolong our stay on this enchanting island. The connections we made with local business owners during our stay will be invaluable as we pursue this dream. If you're looking for a tranquil, welcoming retreat on Siargao, I highly recommend a stay at Dahun Villa.
Almont Beach Resort

Stayed for 2 nights. The staff was pretty helpful. The rooms were adequate. The amenities is sufficient but could improve otherwise. Biggest drawback was it's location. The hotel is pretty far from the city centre. Just prepare to have your lunch in and dinn at the hotel as some delivery doesn't go all the way from the city to the hotel address. The pool was well maintained. The beach front is all murky and muddy. The shoreline was limited and was more rocky than sandy. They had a dinner entertainment the night we checked in but the singer informed us that it was more of a weekend gig. The sheets weren't changed on the 2nd night of our stay. The room was very spacious which was a plus. You would have to book premium rooms to get the sealine view otherwise you'll be stuck with a dead end wall. The room was spacious enough to fit 2 queen beds but the booking would only allow 2 persons when it could fit 4. You would have to pay extra for the ”extra bed”. It's strongest suit would probably be it's staff and it's worst is it's location. Also I think they should have a service that can transport guests from almont butuan to surigao. I would have paid extra for that.

Our 2nd room the AC is not working in the middle of the night we have to transfer to other rooms. The bathroom sink is not properly elevated so when in was showering The water stuck up.. Its like a flooded bathroom ,gross. But i love the food the service people and the receptionist they so great. I think their rooms needs improvement. That’s all

Not bad! Not bad, not bad
Watergate Boutique Hotel
4.1/565 Reviews
The boutique hotel provides decent accommodation in Butuan. However, the indoor air quality was a major concern for us. The windows on the second floor are locked, and there is no possibility of proper room ventilation. When we arrived, the room smelled strongly of scented cleaning products, and one could feel the VOCs irritating the nose and airways. The room does not provide face towels, and if you ask for one, you can rent it for 70 pesos per day. Toiletries were provided upon arrival, but we did not receive more toothpaste when the small initial one ran out, nor additional soap. Several times a day, there are power blackouts, usually lasting only a few minutes. Overall, the place falls short in terms of hospitality and indoor air quality. On the positive side, it is clean, the room is spacious, and the air conditioning works well.
Hotel Oazis

Whoever did the Christmas decor in Hotel Oazis should be given a bonus! My favorite decor so far amongst all the hotels we’ve stayed in the Philipines. There were a lot of mosquitoes tho, should do something about that! And the gate to the reception is quite a stroll, they should use their buggy more. Room was spacious though the toilet is dated.
Lisuga Hotel

Pros: • hotel is new, they only opened last August • room was very spacious • beds, pillows, comforter were very comfortable • bathroom was very spacious with complimentary toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner • airconditioning was superb • room has a balcony (that we didn’t use) Cons • because it’s new, apparently their how shower has not been installed yet. But they provide hot water from the kitchen and will bring to the room in a pail 😂 • location is not ideal as it is a good 10-minute walk on a dirt road to get to the main tourism road • breakfast wasn’t impressive. The tapa and the tocino were tough. All in all, it’s still value for money. The entries crew were very friendly and accommodating. And I will still consider staying there next time.
MAD Monkey Hostel Siargao
4.1/548 Reviews
Everything was great. Prime location and you can escape to the beach in just a few steps. Kudos to receptionist Jem and guard Kuya Mike fas they’re very accommodating and friendly all throughout my stay. I wish there were signages on closing the door slowly though as some foreigners dont mind their own manners when sharing quarters. Some throw their tissues in the toilet and dont tend to flush it, not sure if it’s their culture but something Mad Monkey has no control over. Bonus points on having a lot of bathroom to choose from. They also offer FREE SHOTS at the bar during night party. I booked the bunk through Trip.com for only 648 pesos. When I tried yo extend my stay, it’ll cost me more than 3 times more. So book ahead at trip.com for cheaper prices.
