Fraserâs Hill is a peaceful and refreshing destination with cool weather, lush greenery, and a relaxing atmosphere. The drive up is quite challenging due to the many winding roads, so itâs something to be prepared for. Food options are fairly limited, especially at night. The hotel room was comfortable overall, but there was a noticeable musty smell, which could be improved. Despite these minor drawbacks, itâs still a lovely place to unwind and enjoy nature for a short getaway.

Guest UserOverall Review: Great Views, But a Noticeable Gap Between Experience and Expectations
Overall, this stay had clear pros and cons. The hotelâs location and scenery are undeniably excellent, but there is still considerable room for improvement in areas such as traffic flow planning, facility details, service experience, and privacy management.
Given the Ascott brand management and a room rate of RM1,100+ per night, we had expected a more premium accommodation experience. Unfortunately, the actual stay fell short of expectations and did not fully reflect the price point.
Pros
1. Excellent Location and Scenic View
The hotel is strategically located along a main road and directly opposite a golf course, offering an unobstructed view. Waking up to lush green lawns, blue skies, and white clouds created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
2. Room Layout Suitable for Families or Groups
We stayed in a Premium Two-Bedroom Unit, which was nicely designed with a practical layout. The kitchen was fully equipped and clean. Although the bathrooms were relatively small, having two bedrooms and two bathrooms made it convenient and comfortable for a group of four.
3. Thoughtful Amenities
The hot and cold water dispenser located at the lift lobby was a thoughtful touch. The room also came with a kettle, which was especially convenient for families and guests who prefer hot drinks.
Cons
1. Bed Comfort Could Be Improved
The bed was Queen-sized, but the mattress felt rather firm, while the pillows were overly large and thick, making the sleeping experience less comfortable.
2. Lift Access System Was Not Sensitive Enough
The lift card scanning sensor was not very responsive. When staying on a lower floor, there were occasions where the access card had not yet been detected before the lift had already passed the intended floor, which affected convenience and user experience.
3. Poor Drop-Off and Parking Layout
The luggage unloading area was located at the entrance of the parking area, where the road was narrow and often obstructed traffic flow. In addition, after rainfall, the parking area had significant puddles, making it inconvenient to walk, especially when carrying luggage.
4. Limited Check-In Space
The check-in reception area was relatively small and struggled to handle the holiday crowd. During peak periods, the space became congested and chaotic.
5. Narrow Public Areas and Restaurant Queue Management
The hotel hallways were generally narrow. While it is understandable that queues are unavoidable during peak travel seasons, the restaurant waiting area was clearly unable to accommodate the volume of guests, resulting in congestion.
6. Inefficient Dining Area Layout
The food serving area could be better organized, especially around the coffee machine section. Despite having multiple machines, they were still insufficient to handle the high guest volume, leading to long queues.
7. Privacy Concerns
The hotel should consider implementing stricter drone control policies within the property. While staying on the 4th floor, we woke up to find a drone flying past our open balcony/door area, which felt intrusive and raised privacy concerns.
8. Mismatch Between Price and Experience
We chose this property largely because of the Ascott brand reputation and the RM1,100+ nightly rate, expecting a more premium level of accommodation and service. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet expectations. From operational details to service quality, the hotel did not reflect the level typically associated with its pricing and branding.

1. The lights near the gate are dim, some aren't working. Poor lighting. It's easy to miss the turn.
2. Parking is okay, there's even parking for EV cars.
3. The lobby is okay too, and the staff at the counter were also just okay.
4. Dining area. Hmm, maybe you can do better.
5. The pool is suitable for kids.
6. Private beach â

â
clean. Not sure if it's safe to swim though.
7. Cleanliness.
- The toilet had a slight smell, not very clean 2.8/5
- Sheets and pillows, not clean.
- Towels had dirty spots.
- The AC was dripping water, yes! It reached the bed, making it uncomfortable to sleep because I could feel the droplets on my face.
8. My husband got bed bugs, his legs and body were covered in bites.
9. Buffet breakfast changed to 'sahur' (the taste wasn't bad, it was okay).
- White rice. Chicken with curry, I think? The chicken pieces were small. 2 prawns. Sliced watermelon & Sunquick/fresh orange juice? (At least offer ice cream as a dessert replacement).
I don't have pictures for any of this because I was tired from the journey from Seremban, and then I got a room like that (Room number 1079). Disappointed. I only loved the beach. đ

Guest UserExcellent, we'll definitely be back! My friends and I had a great time, and the food wasn't expensive. The only thing is the paint smell in the room was a bit strong, which I hope they can improve. Also, there aren't many entertainment facilities. Keep up the good work!

EGKediMy husband suggested this place for our 33rd marriage anniversary and I'm thankful that we came for our 4 nights stay here! We stayed at the Deluxe King Room.
Firstly the immediate response with an official/personal email from the GM Mr Tony Teh acknowledging our booking and asking if we needed anything - this is exceptional and personal which gives us such warm feelings even before we started our stay!
We forgot to notify in advance about our anniversary, yet upon check in, Mr Hykal who attended to us assured us that he would check about the matter. And just happened Ms Lynn who is the Public Relations in charge was at the Front Office received what I shared and she purposely made a special effort in making the special arrangements upon seeing my email reply to their GM.
We chose the Sky Cafe to have our anniversary dinner - The special decorations done in the room (as a surprise to my husband) and the special table set-up for our dinner with a special discount for our anniversary dinner. On top of it the Chef Mr Phyo personally blessed us with his special-bake chocolate cake!
The GM personally came up to the Sky Cafe to meet with us, such warmth and kindness!
Upon arrival as we were lazy to go out, we ordered room service and the nasi goreng was super yummy!
The daily breakfast is amazing - food is delicious (had the chance to chat with the Chef Shahrul), with different spreads throughout our four days. All the staff in the Breakfast place are exceptionally friendly, polite, helpful and always with smiles!
These are the personnel that I managed to get their names -
At the Front Office, Mr Hykal and Mr Sharul were the first who attended to us with the rest who were very helpful to our enquiries as well: Sofy, Najwa & Syirah.
A special shout-out to the Housekeeping team under the leadership of Mr Hafis - who did such a great job in making such special decorations in the room!
The Sky Cafe Team who served us during our anniversary dinner - Mr Azrael, Ms Fazlin and Chef Mr Phyo.
And the Restaurant great team inside the kitchen and outside the restaurant area under the Manager (I can't recall his name) who were very attentive!
Ohh, the night views of Genting Hilltop from the Rooftop Pool area - superb!
Mr Tony Teh, you have a great asset - your Team is amazing! Thank you for making our 33rd anniversary a memorable one, and we are already considering coming back again!

Anonymous UserA bit dissapointed during check in. I know they use numbering system but during peak hours I can say one of the counter served one person who not take any ticket number to check in. When I saw the QMT, it should be my turn to be serve. Then when i questioned the other counter, she said she will call by number. I'm regular customer to this hotel. If this hotel using new system, please apply it equally to all customer and staff. Please take this seriously.
Shower head in the bathroom need to be check regularly cuz my room seems like broken.
One more thing, please improve your buffet nasi lemak sambal cuz it taste awful. Too cair.

Aishah AbidinReturned to this hotel after 10 years. Many changes, especially the pool. We stayed in a deluxe room. The room was quite spacious and clean, though the lighting was a bit dim. The water pressure was strong, which made for a pleasant shower. The mattress and pillows were just average. Breakfast was also just average with limited choices. The bellboy was excellent; he helped us carry all our luggage without complaint, even using the stairs since there's no elevator to my room's building. It was fine though. We'll definitely be back because the kids loved the pool.

Guest UserI had a wonderful stay at Antara Residence by Sleeping Lion. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. It was well equipped with everything I needed, including a bathtub and a washer-dryer, which made my stay even more convenient.
One of the highlights was definitely the swimming poolâit was beautiful, well maintained, and a great place to relax after a long day. The overall experience was excellent, and I truly enjoyed every moment of my stay.
I would happily recommend Antara Residence by Sleeping Lion to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped, and relaxing place to stay. I look forward to coming back again!

It's a little complicated when we are trying to heading to our room from the hotel lobby, they said the room is located in a different building. The receptionist is so helpful and lead us the way. Clean room and comfortable.

This was our 1st stay in the resort and it turned out to an interesting & awesome experience!
We checked-in on 11th of March & checked-out on 13th of March. I booked a 2-single bed room but the hotel given us a king bed room at the upper floor. After talking to the front desk. I was told only king bed room was available. However, my wife didn't have a good night sleep as she was having light sleep, so easily waken-up due to noise & movement. The upper floor somehow was noisy due to the traffic outside the hotel. We have no choice but to feedback to the hotel manager on the 2nd day. The manager Ms Su was kind enough and upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite on the ground floor, with 2 single beds & a king bed. That made our 2nd night slept peacefully. Thanks Ms Su of her attentiveness.
The morning breakfast was a ala carte menu of Malaysian & western cuisine. Not a fantastic food but the service given by the professional F&B staffs made the experience so pleasant! Sincere thanks to F&B supervisor Santhosh & staff Myint of their attentive service.
