It was a hotel directly connected to Yamagata Station. The weather was good on the day I stayed, the mountain 々 was clear at dusk, and I was able to see a beautiful moon at night. If you walk in front of the station, there are restaurants and supermarkets, so I think it's not troublesome to stay. There was also a convenience store on the １ floor. Our room was in the newer South Annex, comfortable and spacious. Hotel granted our room request and were attentive to our stated diet requirements. We chose Japanese breakfast set on both days and they were delicious, of excellent quality and good portions. We used one of the coin laundry machines on 2F, but wished there were more machines offered on different floors.

The daily kaiseki cuisine is very rich. The three-day meal will have different changes. It is very delicious and not greasy at all. The service of the ladies is very good. Inter type route inn again. I stayed at the route inn and I didn't write it, but the usual route in facilities. Because it is an intertype, it is far from the center, but if you walk a little, there is a roadside type restaurant. Be careful if you are planning to drink because you walk accordingly. Convenience stores are a little far away. I wonder if breakfast was not very regional. I don't know the regional nature of Yamagata in the first place. But beans? Imobo? Yonezawa beef and cherry blossoms can't be served at the breakfast of Vijiho. However, the number of items was large and the taste was not bad.

出羽三山巡りにあたって利用させて頂きました。当方ノープランの急な旅だった為、予約無しで伺いましたが、ご主人が快く受け入れて下さりました（宿坊では予約が無いと厳しいと断られました）。下調べが浅かったため、今回は羽黒山のみの参拝となりましたが、三山を巡ったような体験が出来る博物館を紹介してくださったり、次回の旅の参考になる情報を教えてもらいました。建物についてですが、昔ながらの旅館といった感じでとても味があって◎です。はじめて来たはずの所なのに、こんなに「居心地が良いな」と感じた事を不思議に思います。また、他の方も書かれていますが、広い旅館にも関わらず隅々まで清掃が行き届いており、「清潔感」がありました。キレイな喫煙ルームもあるので喫煙者も安心です。お料理についてですが、「すべてにおいて平均点を上回ってくる」洗練された味がしました。旅館の料理といえば大抵１つ２つはクセのあるお品が出されるイメージがありますが、ここは日本人なら誰が食べても「美味しい」と感じると思います。特に茄子の天ぷらは絶品でした（衣はサクサクっとした仕上がりで、中身は口の中で「ジュワァ～」ととろけます）。全体として、ご主人や女将さんの優しさを感じられるとても良い旅館です。こういう旅館はいつまでも日本にあり続けてほしいなと思いました（文句なしの星５です！）。
