Been here twice. Service and hospitality was great. Big and clean room. Location wise was okay considering its still in the city centre, but you still have to take car/motobike to reach Malioboro. Breakfast choice was nice, but could be upgraded and improved on the taste side.
Swiss-Belhotel Airport Yogyakarta
4.7/551 Reviews
I recently stayed at Swiss-Belhotel Airport Yogyakarta during a trip, and while the experience had its highlights, there were a few aspects to consider depending on your travel needs. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the airport, making it an ideal choice for travelers with early flights or short layovers. The convenience of being so close to the airport cannot be overstated, especially when you want to avoid the hassle of long commutes. However, its distance from the city center is a drawback. For those planning to explore Yogyakarta’s main attractions, the travel can feel exhausting, especially with traffic. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a long day. The ambiance of the hotel was quiet and serene, making it suitable for travelers seeking a tranquil getaway. However, the amenities could use some improvement. While the basics were covered, I noticed a lack of certain facilities that are typically expected, such as a fully operational lounge. During my stay, the lounge was not open, which was a bit disappointing as it limited some of the expected conveniences. The available amenities were functional but felt basic, catering to travelers with minimal needs. If you’re looking for a luxurious experience, this might not be the best fit, but for a short, peaceful trip, it does the job well. The dining options were decent but not remarkable. There was a good variety of dishes, and the quality was satisfactory, though it didn’t particularly stand out. Swiss-Belhotel Airport Yogyakarta is a good choice if you prioritize convenience and peace over proximity to the city’s main attractions. It serves as a functional stopover for travelers who value being near the airport and are okay with fewer amenities. While there’s room for improvement in terms of facilities and accessibility to the city, it’s a suitable option for a short and quiet stay. Would I stay here again? Possibly, but primarily for the convenience of its location near the airport.

I was staying for 8 nights in this hotel and my son was very happy staying there, all of the staff were very friendly and very polite, whenever I needed something they responded very quickly, food was always delicious and what make me happy the most is my son always eat properly when I bought the food from the hotel cause he is a very fussy eater, would definitely recommend it to my friends and family and would definitely stay here again whenever I come back to Jogja. Thank you 🙏

Location is good. Beside a small mall and also near to 1 of the popular restaurants. Room is quite spacious and clean.. but the air con was a bit hard to control - too cold if we on the fan even to the lowest; seemed like no ventilation when we off the fan. The comforter was not very thick so it was still freezing for us when we had the fan on. But overall still a good stay.
Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel

Friendly staff and hassle free check in. Service and cleanliness up to Marriot standard. Only drawback was that we needed to pay immediately each time we ordered room service and food at the pool side. Couldn't sign it to the room and settle it upon check-out just like other hotels.

”Convenient Option Near Yogyakarta's International Airport” While not situated in the heart of Jogja, this hotel proves to be an excellent choice for those seeking proximity to the new international airport in Yogyakarta. The spacious and impeccably clean rooms and bathrooms offer a comfortable retreat after a long day of travel.

There are so many things I love about the hotel. I can't wait to drop my genuine feedback here upon checking out from the hotel. 1. We feel welcomed as their guests. Each and every staff is well trained. They are attentive and greet you at every corner of the hotel. 2. I love the scent of lemongrass once entering the lobby. A welcome drink is placed at the lobby. Feel free to drink as many glasses as you want after the heat along the Malioboro street. 3. Clean room with satellite TV programme. 4. Bottles of hand sanitiser are placed in and outside tge lifts. 5. Amazing breakfast spread. The staff who handle food are on facemask at all time. 7. Javanese music and gamelan accompany us while having our breakfast. 8. Many sofa chairs/armchairs at the lobby. This is indeed very thoughtful especially for the elder people and guests from big tour groups who need time to check-in. I spent an hour sitting on the sofa to do my work. No distractions at all. You can choose to sit near to the main entrance, lounge or coffee house. 9. Plenty of wall plugs/electrical sockets. I charged my phone before leaving the hotel at 3pm to airport. El Hotel embraces generosity to create memories among their guests. Thank you

I had good stay as my room was well kempt, and windows were directly lighten up by the sunlight. However, in terms of amenities, i noticed that there was no iron and iron board. The refrigerator was broken as well and there was a conmecting door to the other room which i find it odd. Anyway, this experience did not affect me because of the cleanliness and hospitality of the staff. I appreciate them contacting me to ask if they can clean as was in DND mode. Overall, i will still book again in this hotel for another opportunity of business travel

Room Is cleaned without any bad smell, shower water is hot, TV got many different channels, got small fridge and safe. All people working in the hotel are very friendly and easy to communicate in English. Location is about 20 minutes walked from Jalan Malioboro and Plaza Malioboro. Breakfast variation is limited, but it's enough for us. Overall, it's a pleasant stay for us.
