You'll have to park at Friar's mall car park, which is a short five to ten minute walk to the hotel. The parking has good rates, especially the overnight 6am to 6pm deal @£1.50. For me, this worked out at around £3.50 on average depending on what time you enter and leave the car park. You'll be looking to pay about £4 plus the hours added to the overnight charge. Good treadmill in the small gym, dumbbells, cycle machine, and one other machine. Great breakfast!

The hotel was really food, the only issue i had was with the transportation from newport to cardiff which is not hotel’s fault, but just something to keep in mind. The public transportation is really bad on the weekends

When first checking in, as much as the woman on reception was lovely, for some reason I was told because I was from around the area that I had to speak with the manager and potentially wouldn't of been able to stay because it. I was not informed this would be an issue on the booking.com site nor was I told about a £100 deposit? I had come down for the night due to work going on at my house and wanted a break. I understood but felt like it was a criminal matter to of booked? I also have not received my deposit back like promised? A shame as it was a lovely designed apartment, not enough towels and a shame you cant open the windows but it was a convenient location for myself, and still impressed with the bathroom and bed.

I stayed at this hotel recently for a conference at the ICC, and I must say this place was great in terms of cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. I will be staying here again for future trips! The walk to the ICC could be better as you have to cross many traffic lights, but that's for the council to fix! Loved the breakfast by the way!

The staff were very helpful. There was one staff in particular Jamie Marchent who went out his way to help us he took my case to my room, he talked to us evry time when he went by, Jamie was always polite, he was very approachable when needing help, Jamie was always smiling and he is a lovely lad. Over all I have enjoyed my time at the holiday inn newport and had a lovely welsh experance and I will be back. Thank you for a lovely stay and making me feel welcome.
