It’s a very nice hotel as an IHG group hotel you can be assured about quality . Staff is real nice and friendly . When I arrived I was given a twin room while I booked a double . Not their fault but the partner of trip . Com. No other double available so I asked them to put two single bed together so I won’t fall off at night . Lol. They were dead nice and did it for me. Nice environment not far from the nearby train station. Will defo go back there to stay
Best Western Plus Dunfermline Crossford Keavil House Hotel

Next to the golf course, this is an old hotel. It is clean, but very old. The hot and cold water in the taps are separate. The hotel also provides heating in the summer evening, so it is very quiet. There are many small animals to walk around and meet unexpectedly. It is suitable for self-driving. There are also bus groups staying. The surrounding environment is very good, there is a lawn suitable for weddings, and the sunny breakfast restaurant is also impressive.
Holiday Inn Express Glenrothes

Stayed here for a week, whilst visiting family. Our room was very clean, and the bathroom was a great size. The bed was massive! And extremely comfortable - so much so - we didn't want to get up! Lol Breakfast was good - although a choice of egg would have been nice, instead of scrambled each morning. The only other thing that needed improving was the awful coffee from the machine. I had a latte machiato twice - the first was just frothy milk and little coffee - the 2nd was awful - literally ended up with a mouthful of bitter coffee grains. 🤑 However, the price of the hotel, together with the comfortable room, friendly staff and quiet location means we will DEFINITELY return.

Loved our overnight stay, spacious room despite being made up with large king size bed and two single beds. Very clean. Lovely staff. Ate at Harry’s bistro within the hotel and food was piping hot and lovely. Great outdoor area at the back with seating and seats to the front too. Stunning view from room 205 with views of the bridges in the distance. A wee pal too with a seagull who liked to tap on the window.
Kilconquhar Castle Estate

Stayed in Room 20, which was a generous size, and easily fitted my husband, son and I. We ate in the Bistro each morning, and twice for our evening meal. Cannot fault the food or service in any way. Diane especially was a font of knowledge and breath of fresh air, bringing her local knowledge, hints and tips to guests. Facilities on the estate were just what we needed, snooker, golf, and scenic walks. The younger children seemed well catered for with daily activities and events put on by the leisure staff. A lovely, relaxed visit.
Rusacks St. Andrews

On December 11, we traveled to St Andrew, and Rusacks was a perfect choice. Our car broke down. As we couldn't get it started, we asked the staff for assistance. Mr. Ccllum who was at reception came to inspect our car, and he also called his colleagues to help. We feel so warm that they reached out to us! Since the car was still unable to start, Mr. Ccllum assisted us to contact the car company and helpline. Under his help, the helpline came to repair the car that evening, but they still didn't figure out what caused the breakdown. Because we need to return to Edinburgh the next morning, the car company suggested that we leave the key at the reception, and they would come later to take the car. Mr. Ccllum agreed to keep the key for us. Luckily, the helpline took the car away at last, and we reached the railway station with Mr. Ccllum’s help. The night came so fast and the weather was cold. Fortunately, we were safe due to the assistance of Mr. Ccllum and his colleagues. Many thanks for their kindness! We are so lucky to choose Rusacks!
DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh - Queensferry Crossing

Once again, my wife and I were treated to a wonderful stay. Many of the staff remember us after our many visits and take the time to seek us out to ask after us and have a short conversation. It's obvious that they wish to do this, rather than doing it to make an impression. This hotel is outstanding in all respects. A special mention to Donna. My wife uses a wheelchair and Donna looks after us at breakfast. Always over and above what is expected. Other mentions to Pauline on reception (always a pleasure), Fiona on reception and a new face on reception, Hannah, who made us feel like old friends and was really efficient. There are others, but unfortunately, I can't remember names. Suffice it to say that the entire staff make us feel special. Just one thing; please repair the push-button door. It's very temperamental and it's unfair that the reception staff (who always hurry to help) should be taken away from their duties. Thank you for another wonderful experience
Fairmont St Andrews - Scotland

We originally visited Fairmont St Andrews in August 2021 since we could not visit the country of our choice due to the pandemic. We were super impressed with it, so much so, that we decided to revisit this August. We looked at other options such as rental homes and other hotels but nothing came out as giving us value for money. Rental homes don't have the benefits of a hotel and its facilities and other hotels were charging ridiculous prices as a like for like basis. The Fairmont in St Andrews came out the best value for money. We enjoy the Fairmont as it has the feeling of a resort hotel abroad. The service is spot on too. Just little niggles - that come from having previously stayed - so it is human nature to compare. This time I felt the cleanliness of the rooms was not as good. It was only some dust in the room and in the bathroom so it was not worth complaining about to reception. Secondly, and this come from maybe you being short staffed, is that the breakfast plates on tables were allowed to accumulate to the state where it did look quite untidy. I'm only mentioning these things to you in order for you to nip them in the bud and not allow a decline in standards over a longer period of time. Overall our stay was great. Breakfast is sufficient enough to keep you going until dinner. The atrium is a relaxing place to read a book and play cards. The swimming pool and spa facilities keep a family entertained. Thank you for another enjoyable staycation. Joanne
Old Course Hotel St Andrews
4.5/573 Reviews
Where else to stay in St Andrews than in a room over looking the Old Course? There is little to fault about the hotel. Great, spacious, well appointed room. Excellent breakfast and all the associated things you need in a 5 star hotel. Topped off with an amazing whisky selection in the Road Hole bar overlooking the course. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it, and they were super accommodating and understanding when we needed to change our reservation from May to September at very short notice.
