Travelers Reviews of Brandenburg Hotels

IntercityHotel Berlin Airport Area North

The location is near airport terminal 5, and has a railway station is 5 mins walk. We understand that this is a budget hotel, but we have stayed in better hotels with similar locations and prices. The pillow was very flat. The duvet cover had some holes. Bed sides were chipped. Overall, the hotel needs maintenance. The room and bathroom were clean.

This is a really good hotel, that needs a few little issues ironing out. The positives are: 1) the location - a stone's throw from Brandenburg Airport 2) The design of the hotel - clean and contemporary with lovely fittings & fixtures (I especially loved the super-comfortable ”cloud bed” and the ceramics and glassware) 3) Breakfast is exceptional with so many choices - this is also the first time I have seen Chinese breakfast tastes catered for. The negatives are: 1) Check-in is a bunfight. People had left luggage all over the place and the receptionists kept being taken off by other guests instead of dealing with the queues of people waiting to check in. The self-check-in terminals were not clearly signposted enough and located in a throughfare so one became a nuisance when using them - they need their own, prominent position. In addition, had I known, I would have registered as a hotel group member so as to reduce the check-in process. This needs streamlining. 2) We were allocated a room with an extra bed made up which made it a little awkward to move around - however the rooms were spacious enough. 3) Only one type of each hot drink is available in the room - meaning 2 people can't both have tea or caffeinated coffee.

Reception: Average reception person who was not overly pleasent nor helpful, but not rude either. Room / facilities: Room number 143 is on the 1st floor and is clean and initially new smelling, however this soon faded aster the sewerage smell took over. We turned the air conditioning on cold, but the room didn’t cool, only the fan seems to function(on the air conditioner) to circulate air. The queen bed is very comfortable and the pillows were flat and unsupportive and did little to provide a good night sleep. There is a large flat screen TV, desk and chair, bed side tables and lamps, tea and coffee facilities, a fridge, and clothes hanging facilities. The bathroom contained a stand shower, which was a little tight. Self control air conditioning (which seemed not to cool, but only circulate some air in the otherwise stuffy room. Parking: Parking is available under the hotel. It is unknown if any additional charge is applicable, however there is plenty of street parking for no cost. Wifi: Complementary, and extremely fast. No validation required. Breakfast: Unsure if this is available. Conclusion: Great overnighter for a departure flight from Berlin Airport.

The hotel is very new and clean! I liked it much, located very near to BER airport. The breakfast is merged in the lobby, not so easy to find a seat in the busy time. But the breakfast choices are ok. It’s to far to walk to the airport, but you may either use the public bus in front of the hotel, which is cheap and convenient or scan a code at the hotel registration and book for the hotel bus. Unfortunately, the public bus goes only once every hour.

Very nice, stylish room, comfortable bed, everything very clean and tidy. A great breakfast with everything your heart desires: coffee specialties, pancakes, scrambled eggs, a large selection of cheese, sausage and jam. Delicious Bircher muesli. On our next visit to Potsdam we will book this hotel again - with breakfast 🙂

Fantastic location. Friendly service. Good breakfast. But: internet super slow if working at all. No flexibility in bike rental. Staff tried to be helpful but wasn’t very knowledgeable in certain areas. Free welcome apples were a nice touch. Room itself could have been cleaner. Broken outside window. Tv not properly working due to internet issues. Water wasn’t refilled. Had to ask for refill during our 3 day stay (even we booked the luxury suite) especially on a Sunday when all shops are closed that isn’t very cool. Staff was very friendly about it but I would prefer service that doesn’t wait for me to ask for things.

I arrived late and tried to check in using the kiosk, but I couldn't check in with the reservation number I received from Trip.com. I left an inquiry and received a different reservation code to check in. The room was small, but it wasn't bad.

The surrounding area was quiet, the room was clean and tidy, the two people stayed, and started to have a pillow and a small quilt. After calling the front desk, it was quickly sent. Compared with the holiday Inn I lived a few days ago, the elevator does not need to swipe the card is not safe enough, there is no electric kettle, no USB charging port, so although it is a four-star hotel, there are improvements in management details and decoration details. It is estimated that it is also a long time.

I booked this hotel for my elderly parents to stay for a couple of days. Unfortunately the location is in the middle of nowhere and too complicated for them to travel to the city. I guess if you are looking for peace and quiet this would be perfect. But they loved the breakfast!
