Holiday Inn - the niu, Fury Aschheim Messe

The rooms are advertised as apart-hotel rooms for longer stays, but they are small and they mostly just traded a proper size wardrobe for a space for a kitchen sink and a microwave. The website says ”Kitchenette” but you can't really cook anything... Also, no dish soap or sponge is provided, and you have to grab plates and cutleries yourself from the restaurant area downstairs. This could easily be fixed. Also the website says there is a desk but there really isn't. What you get is a small coffee table with a low seat. Impossible to seat and expect to work comfortably on it. No laundry service or washing machines available in the hotel either. The receptionist pointed me to the mall to clean my clothes, which is very far if you don't have a car. They should at least have a partnership with external laundry service and organize pickups... Other than that, the staff was super friendly and professional. Nice hotel design, clean and good breakfast too. So I would recommend the place only for short stays.

Hotel Cafe Fuggerhof

I felt very anxious and scared. This hotel definitely needs to state on their website that their location changes during the winter. My actual accommodation was at Nature Hotel Walde sruhe, located in the mountains. The original hotel was dark and only the intercom was working, so I was really worried when they asked me to call a taxi to come to another hotel. I was confused and didn't know what to do, but a local woman happened to be passing by and helped me out. Don't get misunderstand, the hotel I stayed at was great, the rooms, the food and the staff were great. When I arrived that hotel by taxi and I said this is so bad experience, they said me No problem. It was probably a better grade than the original hotel. But the problem is not there. The location I booked is different from the actual location, that's the big problem! The visitors who come here in winter are probably mostly people who travel by car. If I had booked this place just to relax and enjoy a holiday, I would have been very happy, but I had a schedule that needed to be on time. I chose a place within walking distance to Oberstdorf Station and the ice rink, and booked it. That was my selection criteria. No matter how nice the hotel is, if it's in the mountains I wouldn't choose it. Luckily, there was no snow for a few days after my arrival, so I made the 40 minute walk to the ice rink in the morning. However, it was dark at night and the road was steep, so I couldn't walk there. My friends were worried and sent me the hotel. On the third day, the slope in front of the hotel was frozen and I slipped and hurt my hand. I had been negotiating with Trip.com for a long time, but I couldn't get in touch with them and they told me I couldn't change the hotel. However, due to an injury to my hand, I was unable to continue and was able to cancel the remaining days of my stay after speaking with the Trip.com representative and the front desk staff over mu phone. I had planned to stay somewhere that was easy to walk to, but the time spent negotiating left me exhausted. You are too careless about people who are not used to steep snowy roads. Please think more about the importance of location. Please be sure to write any changes in hotel location!

Let's start with the spa - an oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation. From the moment I stepped into the tranquil haven of the Vier Jahreszeiten Spa, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of serenity and well-being. The spa facilities are impeccable, featuring a range of treatments and therapies that cater to every guest's needs. The expert therapists displayed a deep understanding of their craft, ensuring a customized and revitalizing experience. After indulging in one of their signature massages, I felt completely refreshed and invigorated. The spa's attention to detail and commitment to providing a sanctuary of calmness was truly impressive. As for the location, Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski is a true gem in the heart of Munich. Situated on the prestigious Maximilianstrasse, it offers an ideal home base for exploring the vibrant city. From the hotel, you can easily reach Munich's iconic attractions, designer boutiques, and renowned dining establishments. The convenience of being able to stroll through the historic city center or simply step outside to admire the beauty of Maximilianstrasse made my stay even more enjoyable. It's a testament to the hotel's commitment to offering guests the best of Munich right at their doorstep. The overall experience at Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski was nothing short of exceptional. The luxurious accommodations, attentive staff, and attention to detail throughout the property were all factors that contributed to a memorable stay. The blend of classic elegance and modern amenities created an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere, which I found to be both comfortable and inspiring. In conclusion, Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich is a top-tier hotel that truly understands the art of hospitality. The remarkable spa and the unbeatable location in the heart of Munich set it apart as a destination that caters to travelers seeking a perfect balance of relaxation and exploration. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience the best of Munich in a luxurious and welcoming setting.

Hauptbahnhof
My stay at the hotel was greatly affected by the Afro-American receptionist who worked from morning till afternoon on 29 May. I booked the most expensive Signature room and paid 150 EURO/night. I arrived at the hotel around 11.50am, the room was free, as were many other Signature rooms in the hotel. But the lady at the reception told me I had to pay 20 EURO if I wanted to go to the room now. Considering that many rooms, including mine, were free and I was paying a lot of money for one night, I expected better service and the ability to check in earlier. The room itself was extremely noisy due to construction work going on in the building next door. The table, the chair, the room itself literally vibrated a lot, I felt it physically and it was a very uncomfortable feeling. I went to the reception and asked the same lady to change the room. After 25 minutes of waiting (!) she gave me room 601, which faced the construction site. I thought the lady was pulling my leg. I went back to reception, waited 10 minutes for the receptionist to finish her casual conversation with a colleague and informed her that this room was much worse than the previous one (605). She said there was nothing she could do for me. I kept asking her about other rooms on the floor and asked her to give me room 609, for example. She said it was reserved for a ”special guest” who had not yet arrived. I did not know what to say. This lady showed zero willingness to help, zero knowledge of conflict management and simply does not understand that her job as a receptionist is to make sure guests are happy. Why do you put people on reception who have no basic knowledge of hospitality? So I stayed in the same room. Then my room card did not work. I had to go back to reception. I waited more than 20 minutes for the lady to give me another card. For 20 minutes she was looking for someone at the computer and only when I asked her ”How long do I have to wait” did she give me the card. Perhaps she is doing this on purpose because I do not believe that she cannot use the computer and that it takes her 25 minutes to change the room card. In general, this receptionist is extremely slow. The room should be cleaned better: there were lips from other guests on the cups. There were no slippers in the room. The food in the restaurant Casa da Nina was not good: for a pizza for 15 euros it is not acceptable to use cheap pizza dough from the supermarket. And that is exactly what was done in the restaurant. In general, I will not stay in this hotel again and I will not recommend it to colleagues or friends. P.S. The room should have been 40 sqm. It was much less than 40 sqm.

Schwabing
I have to say that this full 5 stars is for the Ctrip specialist. Our Chinese App is much better than the European one in terms of service, quality and convenience. The room is not big, the bathroom is especially small, and the service is so-so. It is 6 minutes away from the subway station. There is a McDonald's opposite. I ate there for a few days. It is 3 stops away from the Allianz Arena and about 10 stops away from Maria Square. It is quite convenient. There is bus No. 177 when going out. The front desk service is indifferent and is not very helpful to people who don't speak English.

This hotel was one of the best we have stayed at. We loved the room. Ours came with a little kitchen area. We felt like we were staying in a modern episode of “tiny house”. The lobby area is large and inviting. We were meet by a friendly and accommodating staff who meet all our our needs. Wonderful stay!
DORMERO Hotel Burghausen

First the positive: The breakfast buffet was rich and appealing with very nice service staff. There was a super great pizzeria and gelateria, which were on the ground floor of the hotel. We had a great evening there and the pizzas were just perfect and authentically Italian.
 The negative side:
We booked three rooms. The rooms would actually be modern and nice. But no matter where you look: NOTHING was clean! The sheets/towels were changed, but I had the impression that the cleaning was not done at all or only very superficially. Dirt on the shelf, the ledge, lots of crumbs on the floor, chalky fittings, dirty toilet seat, mold on the rubber seals in the shower, dirty cabinets, doors, door latches. Worst: Dirty and disgusting duvets when you pull back the sheet. Something like that should be washed if it has stains. Disgust factor to the power of 10. I spend 8-10 weeks a year in hotels, but this was an impertinence that I had never seen before. At night: Loud bass music blared through the walls and floor until about 2am. Youngsters were in front of the window, which made noise until 5 in the morning. It was way too warm in the room. I am aware that the hotel cannot do anything about the noisy people in front of the room and the heat, but it was just crowning the rest. It was just horrific. We booked this hotel to recover from a long drive and drive more on the next day. Recovery wasn’t possible as we all couldn’t sleep. I will never book a Dormero hotel again. The term “fancy” they love to use means something completely different in my world.
Wittelsbacher Hof Swiss Quality Hotel

We stayed here for two nights as we drove along the Alpine Route and couldn't have made a better choice, this is a charming Art Nouveau hotel with a lot of its original features intact. Now you will read many reviews that say it needs modernising and re-equipping but if you look beneath the surface you will see what a fine hotel this is. The service from every member of staff goes beyond what you will find in the chain hotels and that includes the youngest girl who waited at breakfast. They have the widest choice of quality tea (probably 20 different ones) that I have ever seen at any hotel that we have stayed at. Breakfast itself was excellent with a good selection of meats, cheeses, yoghurts, fruits etc and the bacon and scrambled egg was cooked to perfection, it's probably the first time in fifty years that I have had traditional bacon with the two little bits of bone in, great memories. The room itself was large and quiet, the bed comfortable and the shower worked well. I agree that some may think the rooms need modernising but we do not come to hotels to spend hours in our room, we tend to rise early and after breakfast we go out until we are ready for bed. There is so much to see and so little time. We did use the sauna on one evening and it was very good and hot 90-100C with room for four or maybe six people at a time but only one other couple used it while we were there. There is a cool relaxation area with four recliners and a couple of chairs but you can also go out into the garden area. We did not use the pool but several others were using it, again you can exit onto the garden. On the Saturday evening we ate at an excellent family restaurant about 100 metres away, unfortunately my wife left her handbag there with our passports in it. We were going back to Munich for a concert the following morning and returning late in the evening, we informed the reception of our problem. On our return at 3.30am Monday morning the night porter had my wife's handbag already for her. If we were passing through here again this is where we would stay without any shadow of doubt.
Hotel am Moosfeld

Hear me out: this hotel has THE BEST - meaning most professional - service I have ever encountered in any hotel - and I say it from my experience from staying at 4-5 stars hotels as a general rule. Regarding service: - ALWAYS replying to every email (unfortunately letters sometimes land in a spam folder, a little flaw) - 24/7 there’s always someone at the reception ready to assist (mind it’s not a branded hotel, but a family-owned business), making sure that there aren’t any unsolved problems or unsatisfied needs - all website-provided informations are up to date - there’s a shuttle bus from a train station for guests (till 5pm) - staff is perfectly trained and experienced. There’s never any personal attitude, just a smile and clear communication. Of course speaking well English. - Bonus: I arrived quite before check-in hours and checked out a bit late too; didn’t have to say a word and no word was said (or called). Even got an advise how to efficiently manage my luggage for my next trip. Location: a bit far from train & metro stations. Amenities: a very big swimming pool! And a sauna, and a gym. Downside is that those amenities are in a neighbouring building, so if you’re still wearing your swimming suit, you need to walk on a pedestrian path for two minutes like this. It feels weird. But there are lockets, showers and fresh towels too, if you prefer to change your clothes first. Concluding: best combination of price, location, fun, and quality.
