This was my first time in Changbaishan, and choosing a hot spring hotel was an incredibly smart decision 😁
The hotel is right by the North Gate (Old Gate), just a 3-minute walk away, which is super convenient. This gate is exclusively for hotel guests, so there are very few people. You need to book your tickets 7 days in advance via WeChat Mini Program. The hotel front desk will issue a paper voucher, and you can enter at your reserved time. The shuttle bus takes you directly to the transfer center. For the return journey, you'll go to the new North Gate, and the hotel provides a shuttle service there too. All in all, it's extremely convenient!
The hotel lobby has direct access to the hot springs, and you can enter as many times as you like during your stay. Soaking in the hot springs after a hike is just incredibly comfortable 😜
The Garden Restaurant on the first floor offers a rich buffet breakfast. For dinner, they have hot pot sets that are great value for money. Coming back from hiking to a warm hot pot is simply delightful!
The hotel's back garden has pets for viewing. The alpacas are plump, and the sika deer are very friendly and super cute!
Our stay included two activity options: off-road vehicle and cable car sightseeing (at Heping Ski Resort) and adventure溪溯 (at Julong Volcanic Pumice Forest Cold Spring). Both were excellent! You need to book one day in advance, and the hotel provides a paper voucher and arranges transportation. The scenery was stunning, we had a fantastic time, and took many amazing photos 🤗
The hotel assigned us a dedicated butler who was responsible for our entire stay. They communicated with us in advance to arrange high-speed rail pick-up and drop-off, and reminded us of various important details. This made our stay effortless and worry-free, and the overall experience was superb!"

"This is an older hotel that's been renovated, and while the bedding was decent, everything else was really... quite old and a bit dirty. The shower pressure was extremely low, which made for an uncomfortable experience. The staff, who were all a bit older, were actually very good – warm, welcoming, and polite.
As for the complimentary shows, popcorn, and such, you can pretty much ignore them. They were almost nonexistent, just a gimmick. Someone would just sit there, play some music, and lip-sync for a bit, which was quite funny.
The best thing about it is the location. Xishi Market is right downstairs, which is very convenient. It's also not far from the famous '网红墙' (influencer wall), so we could easily stroll back after dinner."

"The hotel contacted me the day before to ask if I needed a high-speed train pick-up. I arrived quite late on the day, and they kept in touch the whole time, which was very thoughtful. It's located right across from the Alkaline Wetland Park, and my room had a great window view for catching the sunrise. It's only a 5-minute drive to the Beichi Tourist Transportation Hub and about a 500-meter walk to the Yunding Market. There is also a supermarket right outside, making it super convenient. The breakfast was lavish with both Chinese and Western options. Plus, there are various commemorative souvenir stamps in the lobby—a real treat for stamp collectors! A fantastic choice if you're visiting the North Slope."

The hotel is right by the Songhua River, and opening the window in our high-floor room offered a magnificent river view – the kids were absolutely thrilled looking out. The room was spacious, the bedding comfortable, and they even provided children's slippers, which was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast had a rich variety of options, including many that the kids enjoyed. The heated swimming pool was the biggest surprise; after a day of sightseeing, taking the kids for a swim helped us relax and shake off the travel fatigue. "One of the highlights of my National Day trip to Changbai Mountain this year was staying at the Jinhua Hotel! During my stay, I was incredibly well taken care of by our butler, Tutu, every day. It truly felt like a home away from home. Before my arrival, Tutu held a room for me as I was arriving late and even upgraded me to an executive breakfast. On the day I checked in, they brought me some snacks, and on my birthday, they surprised me with a cake. The night before I left, I received a Proya skincare set. I was traveling alone, but it felt like I was surrounded by familiar warmth. A huge thank you again to Tutu! It's rare to find a hotel with such attentive and heartwarming staff; this alone makes it stand out from other hotels.
The hotel's environment is also notably convenient and elegant. It's right next to the only snack street and entertainment area in Wanda Resort, making dining, drinking, and entertainment incredibly easy. Especially in the evening, when the ambient lights come on, it feels like stepping into a dreamy fairy tale. It's bustling yet peaceful, with unique and beautiful scenery.

"Environment: The hotel is located in the city center, close to popular tourist attractions.
There's a delicious Little Lion milkshake shop downstairs, and a Miniso supermarket across the street.
Taxi access is convenient. The rooms were clean and I didn't encounter any problems.
Facilities: In winter, pants easily get dirty from the snow. The hotel provides free washing machines and dryers, so you don't have to wait until you get home to wash them – very convenient and prompt.
Service: The receptionist was very polite and helpful.
I'm a light sleeper and easily disturbed by noise, but I slept well these past few days without being disturbed.
If you're going out early in the morning, you can't hear much noise.
However, if you're going out late and everyone is starting to move around, it can be a bit disruptive. The vibrations from opening and closing doors in the hallway or while cleaning the room can be quite loud.
Overall, this hotel is relatively inexpensive, with good service, facilities, and location. Recommended."

I chose this hotel because it's pet-friendly. It's very new and exceptionally clean, even cleaner than some non-pet-friendly hotels. You'll see lots of dogs around! The breakfast area isn't huge, but everything is delicious and has its own unique touch, like homemade yogurt and chocolate spread for toast, which the kids absolutely loved. Despite many dogs staying, you don't have to worry about a bad night's sleep; the hotel has good soundproofing, and all the guests are very considerate and don't disturb each other.

The room was spacious, bright, and very clean, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The temperature and humidity inside were just right. The facilities were comprehensive; a soak in the hot springs was incredibly relaxing and helped ease the fatigue after hiking. The service was meticulous, thoughtful, and prompt. I had a very pleasant stay throughout my trip and would give it five stars. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Changbai Mountain. The service was very attentive, and they even gave me a small gift.

I really liked the butler online service; it's a much better experience than a budget hotel. Our family of three had a very spacious and comfortable stay! It's dry in Changbai Mountain this season, and they thoughtfully provided plenty of water! We really needed it! I haven't drunk this much water in a long time!

PupulanThis is an excellent hotel with incredibly warm and attentive service!
Firstly, it's the closest hotel to the old mountain gate, just a 2-minute walk away, so we didn't have to queue at all during the National Day holiday.
Secondly, they offer high-speed rail pick-up and drop-off throughout our stay, and can also take us to nearby attractions.
Thirdly, the breakfast was amazing! The restaurant staff were very enthusiastic and proactively asked if we needed anything. The ginseng chicken soup, noodles, dumplings, and wontons were all delicious and plentiful, perfect for us southerners.
Fourthly, a dedicated butler was provided. Butler Li Chao was incredibly responsible and always ready to help with anything.
Fifthly, all the front desk staff were wonderful. They helped with our luggage and reservations, and the service was exceptional. They even upgraded us to a family room when they saw I was traveling with two elderly family members, which I really appreciate.
Sixthly, the hot springs were superb, and we could book them anytime.
Seventhly, there's a food court right next door, making dining very convenient. The stone pot bibimbap, stir-fried pork with kimchi, and BBQ were all delicious.
Eighthly, the hotel provided complimentary access to the Volcanic Stone Forest attraction, river trekking, and ginseng digging, all of which were a lot of fun and suitable for the whole family.
My family had a fantastic time, and we'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Changbai Mountain.

suky1999I chose this hotel after a long search for my marathon trip to Jilin. Although it's a bit far from the city center, thankfully there's a shuttle bus, and the hotel even offers breakfast to go. The room wasn't huge, but the facilities were quite good. The only downside was that the bathroom in the river-view room also had a window, and the glass door let in too much light, waking me up bright and early in the morning...

The room was spacious and clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the mountain view was absolutely stunning. The front desk staff were very patient during check-in, the process was smooth, and they proactively introduced the hotel amenities and local travel tips. Every staff member we met along the way greeted us warmly, and requests were handled very quickly. The butler was attentive and thoughtful, helping us coordinate solutions while striking the perfect balance without being overly intrusive—it made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The guest room was exceptionally well-maintained, spacious, and meticulously clean. The bedding was soft and clean, the soundproofing was great, and we had a very peaceful sleep at night. Guest UserThis is a hot spring hotel with both indoor and outdoor pools (I highly recommend the outdoor ones, the air in Changbai Mountain is truly amazing). The room facilities are a bit retro, but the location is excellent, right across from Meiren Song Park (I strongly recommend this park). Taxis to various attractions are almost always just the starting fare. The staff are great, especially the lady at the entrance of the breakfast restaurant. She greeted us with a warm smile every day and even guided us to the guest room elevator, fearing we'd walk a long way. Thumbs up!

LvxingdeAMYAfter the booking was successfully confirmed, the hotel staff set up a dedicated service group chat (with two hotel staff members, Xiao Shen and Xiao Zhuang). In the chat, they proactively confirmed our high-speed railway pick-up and drop-off details.
Changbaishan West Railway Station is about a 30-35 minute drive from the hotel. Our pick-up vehicle was a regular mini-coastal bus, and the drop-off vehicle was a Mercedes-Benz business van. Both drivers were very nice.
The check-in and check-out processes were both extremely smooth. The front desk gentleman on duty on October 10th (apologies for not catching his name) definitely deserves high praise 👍. Whether it was helping us book the resort's shuttle bus or answering any questions we had, he was always prompt and helpful.
The hotel room was comfortable and bright.
The Italian restaurant on the ground floor serves decent food, and the staff even reminded us about discounted set menus available on review platforms.
As it is the low season right after the National Day holiday, there were very few people around the entire resort. It's a wonderful place for a relaxing getaway and vacation.
