The morning sun gently woke me through the curtains. I stretched, full of anticipation, knowing that a sumptuous breakfast awaited me. At my favorite hotel, breakfast isn't just the start of the day; it's a feast for both the eyes and the palate. **Breakfast: Abundant** As I entered the restaurant, my eyes were immediately drawn to the dazzling array of breakfast options. Freshly sliced fruits were neatly arranged like colorful jewels—orange carrots, green kiwis, red strawberries—all looking incredibly tempting under the soft lighting. Next to them were various breads, from soft croissants to crispy whole wheat toast, each emitting an inviting aroma. And the steaming hot fried eggs and sausages were truly mouth-watering. **Facilities:** The hotel's facilities are top-notch, from the gym to the swimming pool, every area exudes modernity and luxury. In the gym, state-of-the-art equipment is neatly arranged, providing guests with a perfect workout space. The swimming pool is even more impressive, with its clear waters shimmering under the sunlight, as if inviting every guest to jump in and enjoy a refreshing swim. **Hygiene:** The hotel's commitment to cleanliness is truly admirable. From the spotless rooms to the tidiness of the public areas, every detail is meticulously maintained. The bed linens are impeccably white, offering a home-like comfort the moment you lie down. The floors in public areas are pristine, and the mirrors in the restrooms reflect not just your image, but also the hotel's careful attention to detail. **Environment:** The elegant and serene environment is what truly left a lasting impression on me. Whether it's the soft lighting in the lobby or the thoughtfully selected artwork in the corridors, every detail feels perfectly harmonious. The view from the window is also a highlight—lush trees and the chirping of birds create an atmosphere that feels like a hidden paradise. **Service:** The professional and enthusiastic staff make every stay a memorable experience. From the welcoming smiles at the front desk to the prompt and attentive room service, every interaction makes you feel right at home. They consistently remember guests' preferences, making each service feel personalized and thoughtful. In summary, this hotel offers a rich breakfast, excellent facilities, high hygiene standards, an elegant environment, and impeccable service. Every stay is a perfect and unforgettable experience, leaving me wanting to return again and again.

Arrived by train after 10 PM and just wanted to find a close place to rest, and the hotel turned out to be surprisingly good! First, it's incredibly close – literally three minutes from the high-speed rail exit to the hotel. They upgraded me to a deluxe room upon check-in, which was spacious and beautiful; my child absolutely loved it. They even provided slippers and toiletries for the little one, showing very thoughtful and attentive service. Breakfast was also delicious, especially the fish soup wontons – so fresh and tasty!

The location is excellent! It's right by the hotel entrance, just turn right from Exit 6 of Xinjiekou Subway Station. The Asia Pacific Tower is quite new, and the breakfast offers a great selection of Nanjing local specialties. The staff are very service-oriented; they greet guests whenever they encounter them around the hotel. Although Jinling Hotel primarily caters to business travelers, it's also a good choice for family trips. What really impressed me was when we were waiting for staff to get a souvenir stamp, the manager specially gave the children cute sycamore leaf pendants and fridge magnets, which made them very happy! They also provide bed rails and children's toiletries, which is a big plus for families. Guests staying at the hotel also get a 15% discount when dining at Meiyuan Restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel near Taihu Yuantouzhu/Liyuan Scenic Area,Wuxi 2.6% of visitors choose this area
GGuest User 2026.05.03
No hotel is perfect, but some definitely have standout features. Taihu Hotel, I highly recommend it! Even though it's called Taihu Hotel, it's not directly on Lake Taihu. Only some of the lake-view rooms actually offer a glimpse of the lake, and there are no public areas with lake views either. So, if you're staying at Taihu Hotel and your budget allows, I'd suggest a lake-view room, especially one with a balcony. In spring or autumn, sitting on the balcony, you can see Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head Isle) – that green shoreline across the lake. The balcony faces directly onto Yuantouzhu's ferry terminal, offering beautiful and delightful scenery. I had initially planned to find a lakeside cafe to relax, but this balcony was just too good to leave. The room came with a capsule coffee machine, so I brewed a cup and sat on the balcony. A gentle breeze was blowing, a few swallows circled overhead (I assume their nests are on the hotel roof), and the lush greenery enveloped me in the fresh scent of plants. The view was expansive, with boats coming and going on distant Lake Taihu, yet it felt incredibly tranquil. I didn't catch the sunrise or sunset, but I did witness the moonrise. I'd never seen the moon rise before; usually, when I look up, the moon is already high in the sky. There's a small hill directly opposite my room, and to my surprise, I saw the moon slowly ascending. It happened to be the 15th day of the ***** calendar, and the night sky was deep blue and cloudless. Unfortunately, my photography skills aren't great, so I couldn't capture it, and my literary abilities aren't good enough to describe it in words. All I can say is, it was incredibly beautiful. I'm not sure if this is visible every season, or if the moon might rise from a different spot sometimes. My knowledge of astronomy and geography isn't the best, but I imagine the moon doesn't always appear from the exact same location. The greenery between the hotel and Lake Taihu isn't all part of the hotel property, and you can't walk through it as there are fences marking off third-party property. The hotel's back garden is quite large; it takes a good half-hour to wander through every corner. In the evenings, they show open-air movies on the lawn. It's not too cold or hot right now, and the mosquitoes haven't started working yet, so it's quite comfortable. However, I'm not sure if this happens on non-holidays. Around May Day, they even had fireworks in the evenings. Fireworks aren't normally available on weekdays, and I'm not sure about weekends. This is a resort-style hotel. The hotel's facilities are pretty good. I was initially worried about it being outdated since it was renovated in 2016, but it didn't feel old at all, and the decor was quite nice. The parking lot is huge, with both an underground garage and outdoor parking spaces. There's a gym, ping-pong, tennis courts, and a pool. There's also an AI trail, which is a 1km loop around the back garden. They have small three-wheeled scooters, but I'm not sure if they're free or require a QR code payment to use. The staff are all very friendly and provide good service. There are a few areas for improvement. The gym has a sort of cable machine, which is great, but the accessory options are a bit limited. Also, the hotel's signage is a bit unclear. The underground garage is actually on the hotel's 1st floor, but there are no signs indicating how to get from the garage to the public areas on the 1st floor. When exiting the garage to check in, the elevator sign says the hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and reception is on the 5th floor. Taihu Hotel's layout is a bit different from other hotels, so I was slightly confused and went to the 3rd floor looking for the lobby, but check-in is actually on the 5th floor. Perhaps it would be helpful to add a note like ”Reception (Check-in)” next to ”Reception” on the signs.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around and finding places to eat. There are plenty of supermarkets, shops, and snack bars nearby. The front desk staff are incredibly kind and polite, handling check-ins and check-outs very efficiently. They were also patient and thorough when answering all my questions. The room was spotless, with no unpleasant odors, and all the toiletries were well-stocked. The mattress was just right, not too soft and not too hard, and the pillows were really comfortable. The common areas were clean and bright, and the overall environment was quiet and elegant. For its price point, the value for money is outstanding. The breakfast was also fantastic and delicious, offering a mix of Chinese and Western options, including freshly made wontons and noodles. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit.

The stay was very pleasant. The staff was very good, including the cleaning aunt. They were very enthusiastic. They would not dislike us because we brought the dog. They always emphasized that they were pet-friendly hotels. Of course, we also brought towels and kennels to the dog, and consciously did a good job in cleaning the pet. The location of the hotel is very good, 50 meters away is the pedestrian street. The room is warm and comfortable, the bedding is very good, the room is also a smart home, can be voice-controlled. All staff are warm and friendly, and there is a self-service coffee machine in the lobby. Is a recommended hotel! Our family's best memories in Jiangyan!

Just a few minutes' walk from Pingjiang Road and the Humble Administrator's Garden, this hotel offers a quiet retreat right in the heart of Suzhou. There are supermarkets and eateries nearby, and delivery services can reach the hotel. The hotel itself boasts a beautiful Jiangnan-style garden with a water feature, and the pavilions and rockeries look absolutely stunning when lit up at night – perfect for photos! The 'Tianyi Tower' room type I stayed in this time was excellent. The central garden with its water features is incredibly beautiful; during the day, koi fish swim gracefully, and at night, the stone lanterns reflect on the water. Every photo you take here captures that classic Chinese aesthetic, echoing the Ming Dynasty Northern Half Garden's charm, with every step revealing a new picturesque view. The guest rooms feature a new Chinese elegant style. The twin room was spacious, and the magnolia embroidery on the headboard added a lovely touch of Suzhou charm. The bathroom was very well-designed with fluted glass and a circular mirror, and the wet/dry separation was excellent. They even provide Bvlgari White Tea toiletries! The cool, sophisticated white tea scent was absolutely captivating; after showering, the entire room had a subtle tea fragrance, truly showing attention to detail. My only minor gripe was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit low, but otherwise, everything was perfect. The breakfast was authentic and culturally rich. This is definitely a garden-experience hotel you must stay at when visiting Suzhou.

CChuntianrannaifenBooked this place for a business trip to Nanjing and was pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious, with a large bay window offering excellent natural light. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the shredded radish pancake was absolutely delicious! The lounge on the first floor was also very convenient for business meetings. My foreign colleague traveling with me also spoke highly of it. If I return to Nanjing, I would certainly choose to stay here again.

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

GGuest UserNow, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here. Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around. In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room. When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture? Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc. Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us. These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.

CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high! The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help! The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning! The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!

UUntamedFootprintsLocation is convenient as there is a mall, night food street and a nearby tram station. The front office is located on the 5th level; not on the ground floor. But there is an entrance on the ground level for hotel guests. The front office lady who did the room check-in for us is helpful. However, the rest are less than friendly. There is an in-room safe which is rare for hotels in this category. When we attempted to use it, we realized that it couldn’t be locked. Front office sent a maintenance staff who encountered the same problem. As a result, he replaced it and the issue was resolved. There was an eye-opener incident with the in-room safe which convinced us not to use it. We returned to our room on the second night (21st March 2026) and couldn’t open the safe door. After a few failed attempts, we contacted the front office which sent the same maintenance staff who replaced our safe the previous night. To our surprise, he opened the safe with his personal code. I would think a decoder or gadget of some sort would be required in order to open the safe. There was central air-conditioning which proved insufficiently cold. We had to open the window to cool down the room. Terry slippers were not the standard setup. Plastic slippers were provided. However, terry slippers were provided upon request. Plastic bags are not provided with the rubbish bins. Unhygienic! Only a box of tissues was provided. Most hotels provide 2. The refrigerator isn’t cold enough. Coffeemate was provided. It should be drip-coffee. The master switch was located next to the room door which was very inconvenient. In most hotels, it’s at the bedside! The shower cubicle floor and sink countertop have stains. Hair-conditioner was not provided. Instead, a conditioning shampoo was! There was only 1 wall hook. There should be at least 2. Water seeps through the shower cubicle door. This can cause injury should one slips. There were only 2 washers and 2 dryers. They looked like household type; unlike Atour which is commercial type thereby more powerful. In addition, you have to manually add the detergent as it doesn’t not dispense automatically. There’s pros and cons to this arrangement. The washing and drying was a nightmare! It takes 50 miniues to wash and 90 minutes to dry. The ‘standard’ is 30 minutes to wash and 35 minutes to dry. There was one time when it took 105 minutes to dry our pants! Timing is good; 6:30am to 10:15am (weekday) and 6:30am to 10”30am (weekend). Breakfast was delicious and had a good range of food. It came with bread and butter pudding! Food was constantly replenished. Staff service was excellent! They aim to please. So, 4 stars service is for the staff who served at the breakfast area/restaurant. On the whole, we get the impression that the hotel management is trying to cut operating cost except for breakfast.

GGuest UserWe stayed 1 night in this lovely hotel on a Sunday night. We managed to check in early at 1 pm and was upgraded from the 30 sqm king room we booked to a larger 41 sqm room. The room is new and used lovely bath amenities, an Australian hotel brand. Our stay came with a set dinner for 2 persons and the food was delicious. The pricing in the hotel restaurant is similar or cheaper than any other regular Chinese restaurant outside. We paid the next day at lunch time to eat Chinese food at the hotel again as the restaurant environment is nice and service is good. They have a very well equipped gym which unfortunately we did not have time to use during our 24 hour stay. Our room rate included breakfast and the selection was generous, the only negative would be the coffee beans they used are too acidic but that’s a personal preference. The location of the hotel is slightly to 1 side of the Suzhou old city but some sights like 网师园 are walking distance. Suzhou city is actually quite spread out, no one location is best for sightseeing. The great thing is didi only cost less than RMB10 per ride from this hotel so it is still very convenient. I would not bother with the Suzhou subway, it is not as convenient as the one in Shanghai. Oh yes, the cable TV have english programming which is nice for a hotel in China. I believe this Artyzen Habitat brand is managed by the Macau Shun Tak group. Will stay here again for good value and service. 这个酒店非常好,值得回来再住。五星级的设施,四星级的价钱。
