We were on a middle floor, and sleeping with the window open and curtains drawn, it wasn't noisy and the light control was perfect. The breakfast offered a wide variety. As someone from Cangzhou who hasn't been back home in a long time, being able to enjoy the soft and flavorful traditional stewed beef, with unlimited servings, was extremely satisfying. The lamb offal soup also had that authentic old taste, free from artificial additives or trendy flavors; it was made with real ingredients, plenty of condiments, and a delicious fresh broth – one bowl and you're good to go. The jianbing guozi (savory crepe) was also standard and authentic, not some other style. I specifically ate a 'fried tiger' (炸老虎), those in the know will understand. The gym has all the basic equipment, and nearby are Shicheng Plaza and Tongxiangyuan, perfect for a stroll in spring or autumn. Service response was quick; when I called the front desk, four large bottles of drinking water were delivered immediately."

"The decor is nice, the environment is good, and there's a constant-temperature swimming pool and free sauna. They also have a kids' play area, which is great for families with children. I booked this for a friend, and their child absolutely loved it. "After a twenty-day trip through Yunnan, I stopped in Shijiazhuang for a night on my way back to Beijing. I booked the Hilton because I was having dinner with a friend at China House on the second floor of the hotel. The hotel lobby is on the 31st floor, so you have to check in there first, and then take another elevator up to the 40-something floor for your room. This back-and-forth can be a bit inconvenient, especially when ordering takeout. You either have to pick it up yourself or wait for hotel staff to deliver it, as external deliveries aren't allowed in, and there don't seem to be any robots either. Overall, the hotel environment is quite good. Being on a high floor, you get nice city views. The toilet in the room isn't automatic. The shower water pressure was good, and the room was quite spacious. All the drinks and water in the fridge are chargeable. There's a 600 RMB deposit required per room upon check-in, which is refunded to your original payment method upon checkout. Parking is free in the underground garage. There's a shopping mall nearby. The hotel is about 7 kilometers from Shijiazhuang Station, roughly a 20-minute car ride."

"It was my husband's 40th birthday. Although it was technically the off-season, we paid 4,500 for a two-night stay. I mentioned the birthday in advance, but they said they don't provide birthday perks if it's within three days of the actual date. They did give us a bottle of wine, but we later found out that every guest is entitled to two drink tokens upon check-in, which we never received. Basically, the ”gift” bottle was just what we should have gotten with our tokens anyway, yet the hotel tried to pass it off as a special courtesy. Besides, neither of us drinks much, so the minibar liquor and the complimentary wine were pretty pointless to us. The welcome fruit wasn't very fresh either; the grapes, in particular, looked like they had been sitting out for ages, almost like leftovers from someone else. Check-in time is officially 15:00, and we arrived right on time at 15:00. However, we were told the room wasn't ready yet—a first for us. They offered two cups of coffee as compensation, but honestly, we didn't want coffee or alcohol at that moment. The lobby lounge only served alcohol and coffee; when we asked for soft drinks, we were told they didn't have any. We ended up having two dirty lattes and felt like throwing up. We went out for a stroll and didn't return until an hour and a half to two hours later, when we were finally able to check in. Breakfast at the hotel is provided via vouchers. There were cakes available, but no coffee—you had to buy it at the lobby bar, but the bar wasn't even open early in the morning. That made no sense. The gym offers complimentary drip coffee, but you have to go down to the basement level. The hotel replenishes snacks, wine, and beverages daily, but the drinks are mostly club soda. Toiletries, body lotion, and bath sponges are provided daily. At one point, they asked if we needed anything replenished. We didn't need the complimentary wine or soda, so we just asked for an extra bath bomb. I really don't know what else the hotel could offer us; asking that question felt pointless. If you want to give something as a gift, just give it. I figured whatever they sent would probably just be more body lotion—what am I going to do with all that body lotion? Instead, they were all stingy and hesitant, asking us what we wanted. I've seen posts about other hotels in this price range where the welcome gifts actually come in a proper gift box. Also, they didn't mention whether the slippers were complimentary; we only found out we could take them after asking. On our last day, we left the hotel at 7:30, yet past 9:00, they messaged to ask if we wanted to extend our stay. We didn't need an extension; what we needed was to check in on time or early. If they really want to provide good service, they should at least ask about the guests' flight schedules beforehand to know if they're arriving early or leaving late. Later, they brought up storage services and how the Aranya resort pass is valid for 24 hours—what good is that to us? They would have been much better off asking about our itinerary in advance so our room could be ready sooner. When I ignored their messages later on, they offered to mail me a gift instead, which turned out to be—you guessed it—two more bottles of body lotion... I took a look and ended up asking for a kids' toiletries gift set instead. Seeing posts on Xiaohongshu about what other hotels offer as check-in perks and welcome gifts just made me even more mad. So stingy. Not everyone loves drinking as much as the hotel owner does, yet they force unnecessary items on you. Finally, regarding the hotel shuttle: it doesn't go to Phase 9, and the shuttle bus runs every 40 minutes. After going to Phase 9, we planned to head back to the hotel to use our dinner vouchers (dinner service ends at 20:00). Around 19:15, we headed back, took the resort shuttle and the 2-yuan bus to Suka Hotel, and called the hotel to pick us up. Along the way, we picked up two or three other groups of guests where the bus arrived before the guests were even there, plus we had to wait around while some guests didn't answer their phone calls after multiple attempts. We didn't get back to the hotel until 19:56. We rushed to the restaurant to grab whatever was left, but by then, there was hardly any food left. That said, I did like the hotel's interior design, aesthetics, and facilities. But the service makes it feel like an ordinary guesthouse. Honestly, some guesthouses in this price range probably offer way more welcome souvenirs."

You can return to your room anytime you get tired from exploring, no matter how late you stay out. 2. The hygiene is five-star standard! The housekeeping staff work incredibly hard; the entire floor is milky white, and they have to squat to wipe it clean! After eating fruit in the room, I made sure to clean up the juice myself. 3. A variety of free snacks, fruits, and beverages are provided with great sincerity and high quality, not just for show. Now, the clear cons: 1. The hotel's room types are very confusing. The same company has rooms spread across different guesthouses, and there's a big difference in room size and amenities. Guests from the宿集 (Suju) cannot use their key cards to enter and exit the scenic area, even though they check in at the same front desk and eat breakfast in the same area. This is very inconvenient. The welcome fruits were also just brought over in a paper bag. 2. The entire hotel has almost no accessibility for people with disabilities. My elderly parents and children booked a twin room, but it turned out to be far from the main building and had no elevator. My parents have mobility issues, and it was raining those two days, which made it extremely inconvenient. 3. Since there's no restaurant, breakfast is served by portion. Although the dishes are plentiful, half of them are cold by the time they reach the table, which significantly reduces their taste. 4. The soundproofing in the room is poor. I heard a machine humming very early, and only on the second day did I realize there was a laundry room next door. Footsteps outside the door sounded as clear as if they were inside the room, which was quite startling! Based on my actual experience, it was a mixed bag. I hope Hetou Old Street thrives and the hotel continues to improve!"
