Ibis Styles Charleroi Airport Aero 44
4.3/5109 Reviews
Gosselies
Very close to Charleroi Airport, the hotel has a shuttle bus, which takes you to the airport for an additional charge of 8 euros per person, a 10-minute drive. For those who need to take an early flight, it is very convenient and recommended.
Novotel Charleroi Centre
4.3/587 Reviews
If you have visited several Novotels, you are used to certain standards, from both room, staff and bar/restaurant. In Charleroi, unfortunately, only the room was made: the mine was super-sized, clean, modern and handy furnished. The shower was the best ever, and the (separate) bath was faster than I had ever seen (and that at the highest floor!) The choice of breakfast buffet was quite limited: especially fruit and vegetables were missing. The coffee machines were outside the breakfast room (best unhappy) and one of the two was defect every four days of my stay (very unhappy). The quality of coffee was consistent with the quality of the other breakfast products: moderate to average. The staff, which is very much praised in the reviews, must have been on holidays in a collective manner. The receptionists I found were uninterested, unpleasantly turned up their standard dresses and bloated out only in the active non-health of the guests when they passed. Even eye contact was too difficult, but the city itself was much more beautiful (or less ugly) than expected: in particular the centre and station area are very beautifully decorated in an invitation style. The majority of the people have not yet developed, and I have not yet met so many underdeveloped people in any Belgian city as this. If you want to visit any city in Hengegouwa, then Mons (Bergen) is a more wise and safer choice. You can walk on the street after ”closure time” without being contacted (by bearers) or called (by hang youths). In Charleroi you will be best inside at 19.00 hour, with the door closed. ;-)
Ibis Budget Charleroi Airport

Fantastic service at an amazing price. It's only 20 minutes walk from the airport, and there is a bus service nearby which will get you where you need to be. The buffet breakfast is great too, and all the staff were amazingly polite, chatty and friendly. Will definitely stay here again if I come back to Belgium.
Orange Hotel la Louvière

Very close to the main street. Clean an beautiful inside. This is a fitness center at the ground floor but we haven't made use of it. It was amazing to see my name on the TV when I stapped into the room. The reception is very friendly and provided service at a professional way. Highly suggested.
Van der Valk Hotel Mons Congres

Nice hotel. As you are used to from Van der Valk Hotels. Unfortunately there was heavy construction work which had a negative impact on the stay. However, the employees tried very hard to make the guests as pleasant as possible. They did a great job!
Martin's Dream Hotel
4.1/559 Reviews
I stayed for 3 nights in April and loved it. Having stayed in a Martin hotel previously in Mechelen, I knew what to expect. Upon booking I requested the room with the big round window, which is called the Carnaval room. It's on the 3rd floor, where most of the other themed rooms are. The lift was a plus! Note there are a few steps to get into the hotel itself but they may have a workaround for wheelchair users, just FYI. Contact them before booking, to be sure. Good wet room, excellent shower pressure, huge bed. TV channels were glitchy. They have a laundry service but it's pricey, I found a laundrette in the street behind the hotel which had great hours. Lots of space. The restaurant was good for dinner and the free breakfast was plentiful. Staff extremely helpful. Did I mention the bed? It was huge and very comfy. Will stay again.
Ibis Styles la Louvière

We stayed 1 night at the start of our 5 day bicycle trip. Friendly, quiet hotel, close to the highway and bicycle routes. You can bike to Mons and the famous historical boat lifts and the huge boat lift of Strépy, or to Binche, or the castle of Seneffe via nice routes. We were allowed to leave our car at the hotel parking for 5 days. Thank you so much for that. Good breakfast. The hotel is next to an industrial area, so quiet at night. There is a restaurant, where truckers come, next to the hotel. Should stay there again.

B&B Hotel Mons Gare

Why not 5/5 you might ask? On the 2nd night the reception gave a gay couple the key to my room. I found out about it when they walked in at around 10PM as I was falling asleep. They must have thought I was a present from the hotel. Little to say the unnecessary awkward minute interaction lead to inability to sleep for the next 2 hours and a consequent drop in efficiency at work the next day. The hotel cleaning staff drops a discount card under your door if you don't want your room cleaned, which is a cute gesture from their side. Nonetheless, the first day a week after I decided to let them clean the room, the staff mistaken my bag with toothbrush, paste, shaving cream, razor and nail scissors for a garbage bag and threw it out. Other than they let me use their microwave and offered their restaurant cook to boil the rice I wanted to cook myself. The hotel staff is extremely friendly. The suppressing majority of interactions were very pleasant, and a few neutral. No bad ones tho.
Hotel & Aparthotel Alize Mouscron

Coming from Singapore for 5 days to visit my family and friends, I stayed at this hotel (even I was invited to sleep at my brothers or my mom homes), for the comfort ans it’s proximity to the center and all facilities. The hotel is very well situated, very clean, nicely decorated with pictures, old sewing machines and fabrics machines as the hotel is a conversion of an old fabrics factory. The bedroom was big, very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast has a large variety of delicious dishes, don’t miss the Belgian gaufres (waffles) and the abbey cheese. The hotel staff is very kind and professional. There is a car park and a place to park 1 or 2 tourists buses. There was no shampoo in the bathroom, but there are 4 hairdressers in the area that will make your shampoo and blow dry for 20 €. Just next to the hotel, enjoy a drink at one of the terrasses on the Grand-Place, eat a cake or a dessert at Pierre-Alain ( one of the best in the world) , eat Belgian specialities at La Cloche (rue de Tournai) , try the famous real French fries with mayonnaise and fricandelle (street food on the Grand-place) and buy local food on the market every Tuesday mornings.
