The hotel is in central Hobart CBD,it is walking distance to almost everything including waterfront Salamanca,Battery Point etc.
There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby all within a short walk.
The rooms are clean and modern,the hotel has a casual bar and restaurant plus a more formal restaurant.
Happy hour between 16:30 and 18:30 is a great time to have a drink in the lovely lounge area in comfortable sofas and armchairs near the large feature gas fireplace.
The staff are all friendly and efficient.
I couldn’t fault this hotel on anything,we stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was modern and very spacious.
Parking is onsite at $25 dollars per day which is pretty standard for the area,"

"The hotel's amenities are probably top-notch for an Ibis in Australia, and the room was neat and clean. The air conditioning in our first room wasn't working, and Mr. Amin was incredibly kind and proactive in helping us. He provided a Dyson fan to address the issue and promptly followed up on the room's temperature. When he learned it still wasn't resolved, he consulted his supervisor to arrange a room change. He also helped us with our luggage and moved the original fan to the new room as a backup. I felt like this level of service was on par with The Ritz, and I was deeply touched. Thank you, Mr. Amin."

"I've been to Australia three times, but this was my first trip to Tasmania. I traveled solo, taking a 2.5-hour drive from Hobart to Launceston in the north. I stayed at this Best Western Plus for two nights, and my overall experience was very good.
**Cleanliness:** Very clean, and housekeeping cleans daily. If you're staying multiple nights and don't need cleaning the next day, you can hang the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on your doorknob, and they'll give you an 8 AUD meal voucher for breakfast at the restaurant.
**Facilities:** Standardized beds and a bathroom. The room was spacious, very comfortable for one person. The bathroom had bath towels, regular towels, and hand towels. Laundry supplies were also provided. The minibar offered free tea bags and instant coffee. Two complimentary bottles of mineral water were in the room, with additional bottles costing 4 AUD each.
The parking lot 🅿️ was quite large.

Enjoying breakfast with a sea view was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast spread included a variety of fruits, with the option to make your own freshly squeezed juice, which was a major highlight. "I enjoyed my trip of two days to Devonport. The staff were extremely good and polite. I ate at the restaurant and the food was good, but on the second night I waited over an hour for the special to be brought out and then ad to return it to the kitchen to be reheated as the meal was cold and obviously had been standing somewhere waiting for table deliver. The poor staff were very busy and embarrassed. At least 8 other people in the dining room were kept waiting for their cold meals.
Apart from that…..well done."

"Good location, just walking distance to the main streets which closes very early. Restaurants are easily accessible. I self drive, nearest parking is of about 3-5mins walk away at $35AUD per night unlimited. I personally feel if i were to choose again, maybe i would just park at the nearest carpark beside, or park at the same carpark without using the hotel privilege, maybe it could be cheaper. This is because i only come back to the hotel at night and moved out early in the morning. Worth exploring if anyone were to try.
Cleanliness wise, im not too sure, i make room everyday but theres some stains in the bathroom which was left on day1, still there on day3, but room and bed definitely tidied.
Still worth to stay. Love the indoor pool and the breakfast is good too! (Ala carte order, not buffet)"

The room was big and we received daily clean ups. We visited the pool and also utilised the gym during our stay as well - very good facilities.
The bathroom wall was a bit think as we could vaguely hear people next door, but the room was completely fine - could not hear a thing.
Would recommend to all types of travellers and will definitely stay again if we are visiting Hobart again!

For our wedding anniversary, they even gave us a gift voucher. The room was excellent: spacious, quiet, and with a beautiful view. Highly recommended.

The location is absolutely superb. It's within walking distance of the city center pedestrian street, and many popular restaurants are easily accessible on foot. There's a supermarket right next to the hotel, and an Asian supermarket nearby, which is very convenient. The hotel's breakfast is a buffet with an à la carte option. It's typical 'Western' breakfast fare, with not a huge selection, but the taste is decent. The room itself is quite spacious and comfortable. Overall, it offers good value for money.

MattyFThe bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very large too. It was all clean. Most guest rooms are in annexes, with reception and dining in the old building (old for Oz, anyway) which boasts a bit of style. Breakfast was quite good but items such as bacon and scrambled eggs did not stay very hot about the buffet. I liked the sourdough. Reception was prompt and professional. Now the minor dislikes: it’s a good 30 minute walk from the CBD / waterfront, up a bit of hill all the way. (There is an area with plenty of bars etc about half way). I walked several times a day and it was OK. Most guests will have cars though. The living area in the room needed a TV. If there can only be one TV per room, it would be better there than in front of the bed in my opinion. Finally, one of the two wardrobes is locked up, presumably to store linen etc. The other only has hanging space so there was no shelving. I felt a little cheated that half of “my” potential wardrobe space was denied to me! On balance, I would consider staying again, even though it is a little way out of town. Overall it is large, clean, comfortable and manages a little style.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Hobart city center. Downstairs, there are numerous shops like Myer, Arc'teryx, The North Face, and the Machimachi bubble tea shop, making shopping very convenient. The staff were friendly, and check-in was smooth. The room size was moderate, and the view was great, but the windows were quite dirty, which affected the viewing experience—something that needs attention. The breakfast was very plentiful, with a wide variety of choices and well-balanced nutrition. Housekeeping was done daily, and the cleanliness was good. You need to use your card to access the elevators, so security is not an issue. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low and could use improvement.
