Excellent location. 10min to airport by free shuttle that runs every 30min. Friendly staff from reception to porter to shuttle driver. Hotel is beautiful, lovely opulent decor. Bed massive, delux comfort. Mattress and pillows just perfect. Bathroom very roomy with shower and bath, nice bath amenities. Will definately stay again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Johannesburg Airport and I must say, the experience was very good. One of the standout features of this hotel is its shuttle service. It was extremely convenient, providing hassle-free transportation to and from the airport, which is a major plus for any traveler. The staff at the hotel deserve a special mention. They were not only professional but also exceptionally helpful and friendly. Whether it was assistance with luggage, or general inquiries, they were always ready to assist with a smile. Another highlight was the buffet breakfast. It offered a wide variety of options, all delicious and well-prepared. From fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes, the quality of the food was impressive, and it was a fantastic way to start the day. Overall, my stay at the Holiday Inn Johannesburg Airport was delightful. The combination of the convenient location, excellent service, and great amenities like the buffet breakfast make it a hotel I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Johannesburg. Well, from what I booked, it was supposed to be a 2-bedroom apartment. However, I was given a 1bed (Room.303), and when I went down to enquire, the reception lady wasn't helpful and blamed it on the app. Then I had to ask for a wifi password, which I would have assumed you would be given at reception. I ordered something, and when I went down to get it, the same reception lady gave me a bit of attitude when asking her how to open the main door so I could collect. Now I'm not normally one to complain, but I guess she didn't realise she was dealing with a person who has worked over 15 years in reservations, and I am very much aware of how OTAs work. I am still very upset about the wrong room choice I was given and made to feel like I'm the one who made an error. Then there was NO iron and hairdryer in the room. Apparently, they don't have any available from what I gathered from the housekeeping lady. Besides that, the housekeeping lady was exceptional, and the apartment was very clean upon check-in. Hopefullysomeone from the place will address these issues.

I have stayed at the Quatermain before, and I am happy to say that the whole experience was once again just lovely! I had arrived VERY early on my check-in day and the staff made sure that I had a room well before the scheduled check-in time AND they upgraded me too! The staff at the hotel are friendly, helpful and all round just a delight!! Even with the ongoing challenges that loadshedding (scheduled power outtages) brings to the smooth operation of any business. The gardens are immaculate and tranquil, and it is unbelievable to think you are in the middle of everything with the peace and quiet that pervades. The little bistro / restaurant's menu is thankfully limited, as it means that the quality can be assured and anything that is made tastes deliciously homemade. The evening buffet is very good value for money! Just a small note that due to loadshedding, sometimes the email/booking system gives some issues - so don't forget to just follow up once booked :)

We had a problem with the safe and they moved us immediately. The rooms are very large and comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and willing to help you with anything. They recommended a tourist tour and it was very good. The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. They have shuttle service and they can take you anywhere for a reasonable price as well.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional service we received at this hotel. My elderly mother traveled all the way from China to Johannesburg and then to Windhoek, and the hotel staff truly went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and safety. They arranged a seamless pickup upon her arrival and a timely drop-off the following day, which made her feel incredibly supported throughout her journey. She raved about the excellent service, and I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The breakfast was delightful, offering a great start to the day. This is a lovely hotel. Near the airport, 5 minute drive. Shuttle service available every 30 minutes. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The rooms are quite spacious and beautifully designed. I loved the bath tub in my room and the overalls airport inspired decor. I definitely recommend and will be back in the future.

I had the most incredible stay at The Ashford Guesthouse. All my needs were taken care of by the professional staff and owner, Megan really attends to all guests needs to ensure a pleasant stay. The aesthetics of the guesthouse gave me a sense of homely comfort like I was visiting my grandparents. And with delicious breakfasts each morning that catered to my vegan lifestyle, I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely spread they provided. The location is also very convenient with Rosebank mall and the zone and the Rosebank market within a 10 minute walking distance. I truly enjoyed my time here and look forward to a future visit. 🌻🌻🫶🏼

The room is not big, but it is very tidy. The location is very good. There is everything around, including supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, gyms and cafes. There is no swimming pool. This information is wrong. If you want to swim, you have to go to the gym next to it for a fee.
