The location was good and the hotel was clean. Overall, I would recommend it.
The staff were kind and helpful. When I arrived at the hotel with a same-day reservation, they seemed to have prepared a larger room than expected, allowing me to relax comfortably.
There is no elevator, but this is a common building structure in Uzbekistan, so it wasn't a problem.
The breakfast was sufficient considering it was included in the room rate.
There is a currency exchange machine in the hotel, so you don't have to worry if you're short on cash.
Finally, be careful with the bathroom facilities in the room.

Syidah MIt was an amazing stay (if it’s not for the hiccup) with friendly and attentive staff.!
However, I booked the place because of its amenities - bathtub which turns out not able to use.
I approached the staff and was told, yes, the bathtub’s drain cover are not available and that was natural.
So the bathtub is build only to be an inconvenience, to climb over each time to shower on it not for warmth soaking after long day.
So, is it worth the money paid? Nope, you can get better price hotel without bathtub.
As I said, I booked for its amenities listed on just to made not available.

GuluxixiI highly recommend this hotel! I was torn between two Hilton properties, but I'm so glad I chose this one. It's incredibly convenient – a taxi ride anywhere only costs 10-20 som. Since I couldn't use ride-sharing apps due to my registration, the front desk helped me call taxis every day. A special thanks to Ismigul and Amin, who spoke perfect English and were incredibly helpful, calling countless taxis for me daily 🚗. For anyone visiting Samarkand, don't hesitate to pick this hotel.
The breakfast was also excellent, with make-your-own waffles that my son devoured every morning.
They even gave me a discount on my massage.
Overall, this hotel made our trip complete.

Guest UserAfter a few rough nights at a Soviet hotel, words can’t describe how happy I was to see this hotel. The male receptionist was very welcoming when I arrived as he let me check in a bit earlier after a train ride. The breakfast fulfilled my needs as they have fresh fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, eggs, coffee… no complaint. The guy working at the breakfast area was also very helpful. After I finished gym, I went up there. He immediately asked me if I needed water. It shows that he’s attentive. I felt happy staying there. The reason I booked it was the gym. As an active person, I need to work out on my travels. The gym is not fully equipped but it provides with the basics such as a treadmill, a bike and weights. Location wise, it’s not in the center of the tourist spot but it’s walking distance. It took me 15 min to get to Registan. Don’t worry though as Samarkand is pedestrian friendly.

Shahjahon Hotel is located in a very unassuming neighborhood, tucked among local houses and small shops. But once you step through its gates, you’re welcomed by a magnificent, quintessentially Uzbek façade, charming!
Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was especially cozy after a long day of exploring.
We were treated to a typical Uzbek breakfast, generous and nourishing.
The hotel is just a short walk from Registan Square and the main historical attractions, making it very convenient.
A lovely and comfortable base for exploring Samarkand.

Guest UserSince the hotel is still under renovation, there's an occasional paint smell during the day. I look forward to coming back once the renovations are complete so I can enjoy the medical service facilities. The musical fountain show at night was absolutely spectacular!

ZaixiahenxianEverything else was fine, but they charged $10 for a bottle of mineral water in the room, even if you didn't drink it, which is pretty odd. The area around the hotel is very quiet and spacious, with fountains and many luxury hotels nearby, making it very convenient.

Residing in the hotel 2 nights, enjoyed the service on the recipes and breakfast, all very kind) the hotel itself is very cozy and beautiful! The interior courtyard is very nice, from the room with the view on the garden you can see the Bibi-Khanum Mosque) Location is good, Near Registant Square) a little did not meet expectations of a range of food on breakfast, it was quite humble (compared to hotel 3* in Tashkent, there were eyes running), but hungry , of course not staying)

Manunya PhairatphiboonI had a pleasant stay at Meridian Plaza Hotel. The location, facilities, and overall amenities were excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
However, there were a few housekeeping issues that could be improved. On one occasion, the trash in the bathroom was not emptied during room cleaning, and a cleaning cloth was accidentally left hanging on the door handle after housekeeping service.
While these were minor issues, paying closer attention to housekeeping details would make the guest experience even better. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again.

XiaoxueshengMThe hotel is located within a park, quite a distance from the train station, about a 30-minute taxi ride away. The surroundings are spacious and quiet.
Breakfast starts at 7 AM and offers a wide variety of delicious options. During my stay, I even encountered a tour group of Chinese visitors.
The room had central heating, which made it so warm that I had to open the window at night to ventilate.
Upon check-in, there was a mix-up; after we swiped our key card and entered the room, we found a young Russian girl already occupying it – she must have gotten quite a fright! We quickly exited and went back to the front desk to sort it out. They promptly moved us to the adjacent room and sent up a fruit platter as an apology.
For solo female travelers, it's always important to keep your door locked at all times! 😂
