The hotel enjoys a very strategic location, making it convenient for sightseeing, shopping and eating. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast spread, which offered a wide variety of options, although it can get quite crowded on weekdays, making it difficult to secure a table. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive. One suggestion for improvement would be the addition of facilities like a sauna or other winter-friendly amenities. Harbour view from the window is nice (see attached). Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Pros:
- Beautiful view
- Daybed was as comfortable as the bed
- One of the most conveniently located hotels in Tromso
- Delicious, well-seasoned breakfast
Cons:
- Hotel amenities are lacking (toiletries, facial tissues, phone to contact conceirge)
- Only one staff member after hours, no form of room service then
- Staff aren’t attentive enough. Notably, towels that were removed were not consistently replaced with new ones (One night all were removed, none were replaced. Another night, all were removed and only one was replaced)

This is a 4-star hotel, but they didn’t even provide a complimentary water bottle for welcome, which was surprising. Even many 2-star hotels offer this basic service. I have stayed in both 5-star and 2-star hotels, and this felt disappointing. Small details like this really affect the overall guest experience.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, making it easy to get around the city. It is well-equipped with basic essentials for simple cooking, which is a big plus for travellers who prefer to prepare their own meals. There is also a supermarket located just next to the hotel, and a bus stop only a stone’s throw away, making daily travel very hassle-free.
However, the room size is quite small. Once we opened up our luggage, there was barely any space left to walk around comfortably. This may be something to consider for guests travelling with larger suitcases or planning a longer stay.
Overall, the stay was practical and convenient mainly due to the excellent location and useful facilities, but the limited room space did affect our comfort.

The location is super convenient, right in front of the cathedral. Many day tours meet up downstairs, which is fantastic! The hotel breakfast was also very satisfying. I was so happy to see the Northern Lights in Tromsø! You can consider a day tour or just walk to the pier. As long as it's a sunny day with a high Aurora Index, you'll be fine!

Guest UserA hotel that is located conveniently to many pick up points for tours. Grocery stores, 7-11 and restaurants are also located nearby. Simple amenities such as shampoo/body soap, towels, hairdryer are available. Love it that there is breakfast and dinner that comes together with your stay. Nothing too fancy but good enough to fill your bellies considering the restaurants are quite pricey. You will need to get hot water on your own at the dispenser as there are no kettle in the room. Reception was always friendly in answering any questions, and even helped with my cab booking to the airport. Worth it for the price, would stay here again.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the harbor overlooking the Arctic Cathedral and right next to Storgata!!! It is a bit old but remains traditional!! Perhaps some renovation in the rooms would be needed! Breakfast is a classic intercontinental breakfast buffet while the dinner is somewhat poor and basic! The fika is a nice touch!! The staff was pleasant and smiling except for the skinny young man on the day we checked in who was obviously bored and wanted to go to school and did not inform us about anything!! We had to ask him about all the procedures of the meals and the hotel while he did not provide us with any other information either about the hotel's facilities or information about the city!
It is worth it just for the location and we would probably prefer it again!! And yes, we saw the northern lights one night from our window across the mountain and above the harbor!!!

I have upgraded to deluxe house from the hotel email due to adding two friends of mine are joining. I have paid so much extra to top up from the hotel. When I checked in, the receptionist said I have to pay extra NOK 200 because I did not inform them that I have 2 extra friends are joining.
Firstly, I did call to the hotel to check how much I need to top up due to two friends are joining. Second, the deluxe house is meant to have 4 -5 people to stay in, we have 4 people in total. Third, I booked this hotel on my first night and last night in my Tromso trip. I’m looking forward to stay river view and garden view. But unfortunately the service that I received is extremely disappointed and bad!!

Guest UserUpon check-in, I was told that our booking of a twin bedroom was entitled to only one welcoming drink, providing one drink for two guests was disappointing.
For breakfast, the hotel advised that the first hour would be busy, but the non-rush hours were even more crowded, making it difficult to enjoy our meal.
Additionally, there was no kettle in the room; guests must go to the 11/F common area for hot water, which was extremely inconvenient.
On a positive note, the gym was reasonably good. The view from 11/F is stunning. Overall, while there were some highlights, key areas need improvement.

XiaoxiaomaomaochongAfter visiting the Lofoten Islands, Tromsø felt more like an optional stop than a must-see.
Location: The hotel's location is good, close to the pier.
Room: The hotel corridors and rooms looked quite dated, not at all like a five-star hotel. The view outside the window was nice, especially the outdoor scenery from the large windows in the hallway was beautiful.
Service: Luggage storage after check-out at this hotel is self-service. They don't provide a storage receipt. The room was piled high with luggage, and the door was left open, so it really depended on how trusting the guests were.
Taking the cable car in Tromsø to see the city view from the mountain was great, but everything else was just average. As for the Northern Lights, you can see them in both Tromsø and the Lofoten Islands during winter.
