Grand Miramar All Luxury Suites & Residences

I have stayed in many hotels and this is a good hotel. I liked the views from our ocean view suite the most. The sunsets were lovely as we looked unto the ocean. I also liked the location, the room and the décor, the facilities, the numerous pools. The staff was generally very helpful and effective. The views from the infinity pool near the restaurant were awesome as well. We were celebrating our birthday during our stay and Antonio at the concierge offered us good ideas for activities and restaurants that made it fun. Luis at the front of the hotel is a gem and was absolutely helpful throughout our stay. I intend to stay here again. We had paid for a grand junior suite double with ocean view. We expected a full ocean view suite but it was a partial view. Also, the suite had only one bed instead of two. The staff at the front desk did not appear to be even concerned that we were put in a room that was different from what we paid for. They were not helpful. The rest of the staff were great and the hotel is great.

If you are looking for a clean and comfortable room at a good rate, this might be the place for someone. A shopping mall is located not far from the hotel which was very convenient. It is true what other people had posted on their reviews in regards of staff efficiency, they are slow on servicing the guests in the hotel. We asked for room slippers and front desk said they where $ 250 Pesos we checked for room amenities on the hotel site and it claimed that slippers where included, we explained this to front desk and never got slippers for our 4 day stay. Perhaps the hotel should change the General Manager.
Sheraton Buganvilias Resort & Convention Center

While I love this hotel and have stayed 10+ times, my most recent experience was very disappointing. After check-in a woman approached me wearing a nametag that I believe said ”Fernanda” with the ”buganvilias resort” logo on it. She was older, maybe 46-56 years old with her hair braided in a ponytail behind her back. She tried to sell me the ”all inclusive” package (which I simply will never buy) and I politely declined ”no, thank you :)”. She pressured me harder and said ”what will you do on your vacation?” - obviously a silly question. I can enjoy myself without an all inclusive package. She then said ”what about WiFi?” and I stated ”The WiFi at this hotel is free...?” she said ”no, not anymore”. I then stated ”Well, the WiFi at this hotel is free for me, as I am Bonvoy Gold status” and she said ”no, not anymore”. I then made a frustrated face and she said ”Come on man, you're on vacation [so just let me upsell you!]”. She then placed her hand over her nametag and quickly walked away. I can tolerate being solicited, but I cannot tolerate being blatantly and repeatedly lied to. The WiFi at this hotel was in-fact free for all, with enhanced WiFi complementary for Bonvoy Gold members and above. Hopefully Fernanda isn't there the next time I visit. Photo unrelated: showing off the beautiful property.

Hotel is at a great location. In the city but at the same time apart from it.
Playa Los Arcos

Loved this place, Close to everything. Money exchange across the street, OXXO right at the end of the block (left) out of entrance. This hotel is in a loud old town area but if that is what you are looking for this is the place for you! Alot of locals with families frequent this hotel, it is a bit outdated and the pool is rather small, but it is a great place with convenience to everything. The wharf to Yalapa etc... it right outside to the left on the beach. Flea market close by, everything close by. Rooms- Very outdated and i noticed some mold, but you dont spend 24/7 in your room. Staff- INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! - HUGE SHOUT OUT TO VICTOR THE BARTENDER WHO SERVED ME EVERYTHING EVEN WHEN THERE WAS A LINE UP QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY ! ( THERE WAS NOT A LOT OF TOURISTS WHEN I WAS THERE) --HUGE LOVE SENDING TO ZUMBA MY MAID, WHO WAS SO PATIENT AND HELPED ME ANYTIME I NEEDED ANYTHING. FOOD- Mostly pretty good, soups were really good, snack bar by the beach entrance served the usual fatty foods but filled the gap until dinner. I stayed in a super saver room which is VERY small, so if you can stay in a room facing the pool. This room was alright for what I used it for, to sleep mostly, but it is very loud until about 2 am. All the staff are very accommodating and kind. I had Zero problems here and would highly recommend this little gem. I will stay there again, just in a different room. Cheers!!!!!

Zona Expo
I stayed at RIU Guadalajara for 4 nights in August 2022. I will stay there again on my next trip. My room was comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable and refreshed everyday by 'Helga'. Breakfast was included in my rate and it was well worth the money. I dined on the patio overlooking the city and enjoyed my morning coffee in the morning breeze. The buffet has everything you'd want for breakfast or brunch and the service is excellent. The waiters brought want you wanted without interrupting your meal. Highly recommended!
DoubleTree by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Historico

Zona Centro
The hotel is in the historic center. Outside the restaurant on the 7th floor, you can see the church and the square next to the hotel. I did n’t know that the square was a place where many people would check in. The hotel is at Expo Guadalajara: A taxi takes about 13-15 minutes (with smooth traffic) and costs less than 150 pesos. Our flight arrived early in the morning, contacted the hotel in advance, and booked the car in advance by email via the hotel mailbox notified by Ctrip, and informed the flight number, number of people, baggage number, and arrival time The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport. The 7-seat car we booked costs about 750 pesos. Tip 5 [%]-10 [%] if possible Hotel towels are worn out, it is best to bring your own towels. No toothpaste, toothbrush, or shower gel. Passengers are required to bring their own toiletries. There are small pieces of soap, shampoo ... Meal is on the 7th floor. The buffet breakfast is not suitable for Chinese taste. I eat eggs, fruits and toast for several days. Dinner is not cheap.
Crown Paradise Golden All Inclusive Resort - Adults Only

This is an affordable all-inclusive place to stay with a nice beach for swimming and sitting on the sand. There isn't much shade but you can rent a beach umbrella and chairs. The lobby and buffet are open air so it can get really hot during the warmer months. The food was safe, but unremarkable. There was a good variety of choices everyday and each night at the buffet had a theme, such as Mexican, Seafood night and BBQ to name three. We were there at the beginning of October and the weather was still quite hot and the Air Conditioning in the inside restaurants was not quite strong enough to cool the place down, but the servers were excellent. I was worried before arriving that the hotel would be noisy at night, but they have a night club for the resort across the street for all of the late night partiers making the hotel a quiet place to rest and sleep. However, one of the elevators must have been over something very stinky because most of the time, there was a smell of sewer for a lot of our rides. It was the elevator that was for the rooms on the beach front side of the hotel that went up to the 7th floor. The other elevator in that section only went up to the 6th floor. The rooms were nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. We were on a top floor with roof exposure so our room was never able to cool down below 77 degrees despite the hotel's efforts to fix the AC so I had difficulty sleeping. I understand the lower rooms were nice and cool for sleeping. The maid did a great job keeping our room clean! This is a great place to stay for those who like a busy active beach area. It is centrally located which makes it easy to go into town or access tours. The hotel staff was great. If you want a more relaxing, quieter beach and pool, you will probably need to go elsewhere.
Mayaland Hotel & Bungalows

Built in 1923, it is a hotel with a sense of design and age. I lived in a superior room, the room was super big, there was no elevator, no phone, no Wi-Fi in the room, and the waiter would carry luggage. Facing the observatory, the view is superb. I specially strolled around in the hotel, many simple thatched villas are very distinctive, and the park design is also beautiful. The hotel has a small door leading directly to Chichen Itza. You can also choose a tour at 5 o'clock in the morning. You can go to the light show at night, but you have to drive around to the main entrance. I like it very much. It is the hotel where Xi has stayed. It is highly recommended.
Ramada Encore by Wyndham Guadalajara Aeropuerto

Hotel is pretty new so it’s still kept up quite nicely. However I found the staff here at both the front desk and the restaurant exceptional. We stayed here on two different occasions and they were both good. Rooms have the proper windows to quiet the noise outside. Also the hotel has a shuttle to the airport BUT NOT FROM THE AIRPORT so keep this in mind. Uber is not allowed at the airport so you will need to take a taxi by pre-paying inside the airport near the rental car area. If you’re in need of staying near the airport, this is the best choice by far. Breakfast is usually included and pretty good too, not that continental crap. Enjoy! 😀
