"I'm so glad I came! Even though it's a bit far from the city center, it's definitely worth the trip.
The ocean view from the room was beautiful, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable.
The staff were friendly, and I really loved the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast.
Sometimes the hot springs get crowded, but if you time your timing right, you can go in to your heart's content.
If I visit Nagoya again, I would love to stay here again!!"

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's right in the Chunichi Building, which is directly accessible from Exit 13 of Sakae Station. You take the elevator from B1 up to the 24th floor for the hotel lobby. The room layout is great; you can fully open three large suitcases. There's an observation deck on the 7th floor where you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Nagoya's nightscape. To get to Mitsukoshi Department Store, you can use the underground passage and come out at Exit 16. The hotel is also very convenient for Nagoya Station, just two subway stops away. This will definitely be my top choice for my next visit to Nagoya."

"Located right next to the Ure River, with a nice view from the room. As it has only 5-6 rooms, it is pretty exclusive. You can use their 2 hotspring baths privately for 45mins each time, or you can take a short walk over to their 2 sister hotels for bigger hotspring baths. This is the only hotel in the Hazu Group that serves Medicinal Cuisine. As the hotel seems to be converted from a traditional old house, the stairways can be cramped and not suitable for bringing large suitcases, so just pack a small bag and leave the suitcase downstairs or in the car. Had a relaxing time there."

"It's an older inn located deep in the mountains by the sea, but the interior and rooms were amazing.
They had a festival going on, which was fun.
We scooped up shaved ice and super balls!
The food was pretty tasty, and the meat, sesame pudding, and plum wine were absolutely delicious.
However, the parking lot was quite slanted, which was a bit scary, and although we had an open-air bath in our room, the sliding door to the bath was quite stiff?? Heavy?? and we had trouble opening and closing it.
The staff were also mostly friendly, so it was a fun stay.
Some of them were a bit eccentric, but they did their jobs properly so it wasn't a problem."

Guest UserAsked for a room, got the exact opposite of what I requested.
High floor away from lift. So they gave me almost the lowest floor, literally next to the lifts. I booked months in advance, too.
The lift itself isn't noisy, but obviously guests are. And sadly these guests were Japanese locals. A family who clearly had zero control over their children.
Other problems, the onsen has no cold bath, all three baths are the same temperature, and the reclining bath has no purpose except to allow you to lie down. Plus seeing someone the member of a certain family covered in tattoos is a little frightening for my son. All this despite the signs stating no tattoos.
Location is great for metro lines and for the IG Arena, if that's the reason for your visit.
I would also appreciate the same manners in English that the staff provide local Japanese. Especially if the staff is already fluent in English. We too have polite ways of speaking to customers.

This was my second stay at this hotel. Compared with my previous visit about 5–6 years ago, the facilities are starting to show their age.
The air conditioner was leaking water, and the bathtub drained very slowly. After just 2–3 minutes of showering, the water had already risen above my ankles, which was quite inconvenient.
Other than these maintenance issues, everything else was fine. I hope the hotel will consider improving these facilities, as I otherwise had a pleasant stay.

Anonymous UserThe room looks new and could be newly renovated. Good for 3pax travelling together and a nice view of the airport. Near the location for the early morning flight, if needed can still take 1 train stop (or shuttler bus) to the big Aeon mall for last minute shopping. Another thing to compliment is the breakfast they provide have great variety and the good ambient.

CooldayThe hotel is quite old but clean and provides good facilities. It’s located perfectly right next to the Nagoya station and in the same building as Meitetsu bus station. So it’s convenient to take a bus continuing to Takayama and other cities without any hassles. Many cafes and restaurants are underground and nearby buildings. I would really recommend this hotel for the stay in Nagoya.

Guest UserAlthough this room wasn't as big as the one we booked previously, it had everything we needed in a compact space. The location was super convenient too. Since we drove, the front desk gave us a 500 yen parking voucher daily, which covered part of the parking fee. It works for three nearby parking lots, so just make sure you park in the right one – that was a pleasant surprise! Also, remember to book the salt bath and sauna in advance. Plus, there's a shopping street right nearby, making it easy to grab a bite.

Anonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent, situated between two subway stations, both about a 6-7 minute walk away. It's a direct, two or three stop subway ride from Nagoya Station, and getting to other attractions is also very convenient. The room size is decent, a bit larger than other hotels I've stayed in. A special thanks to Ms. Mishima at the front desk; she was incredibly helpful, assisting me over two days with bus routes to various destinations. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Guest UserOur family, including two elementary school-aged children, stayed here for a room-only plan.
The entire room was incredibly spacious. Having separate bedroom and living/dining areas was fantastic, especially in the mornings and evenings, as everyone could go about their routine at their own pace. The furnishings and appliances were top-notch (especially the ReFa hairdryer and shower, and the super comfortable sofa bed). Plus, there were trial appliances available for use, which made our stay even more pleasant.
There's a 24-hour convenience store and a food court on the ground floor of STATION Ai, where the hotel is located, and plenty of dining options within walking distance, so we never had trouble finding food. We'd love to stay here again!

Guest UserI stayed here once in 2019 and loved it so much that I chose it again this time, but it really disappointed me. I asked for bottled water, and a slightly overweight man at the front desk very curtly told me, 'You two, only one bottle per person per day!' I was so angry and asked them to find someone who could speak English. After a long wait, a woman finally came out, looking a bit arrogant. After I explained the situation, she said there was no such rule. I told her I just wanted to clarify who made the rule about one bottle per person per day. I could do without their water, but I needed an explanation!
Service: Genuinely poor, can't compare to before.
