"The hotel is in the perfect location, right on the Arno. I scored a room with a view of the river, with the Ponte Vecchio bridge to the right and Ponte Santa Trinità to the left. I could walk to all the museums and the Duomo and the train station. The breakfast buffet is pretty decent and the coffee strong. This was my first visit to Florence, and it was marvelous! I'll be back."

"The hotel is not big, in the old European courtyard, the location is excellent next to the Cathedral of Our Lady. The bed is very comfortable, you can park in the yard by car, the lady at the front desk will help to issue the license plate to zf cancel the ztl fine. Parking seems to be 35 euros. Breakfast is good, although there are not many choices. Overall very good. I like this old European hotel."

There's a bus stop right outside, and it's just a 10-minute walk to the central train station, or two bus stops away, which is incredibly convenient. The staff are attentive and enthusiastic. The rooftop offers fantastic panoramic city views. The room size is quite small, and the price is relatively high."

"This hotel is a good base for exploring Tuscany. The staff were polite and friendly. However in my opinion this is not worthy of a 4 star rating. It was pretty basic, thin towels, no robes, we just had bare walls in a small room. This is a 3 star hotel in my opinion. It’s fine but if you like luxury then you need to go elsewhere."

"This hotel was a very reliable choice for our off-season trip to Florence. I booked it just three days before we left, without much planning, simply searching for 'city center,' and I was thoroughly impressed. Here's why I recommend it: 1. **Excellent Breakfast**: The breakfast spread was fantastic, with a wide variety of breads, fruits, hams, and cheeses. I particularly enjoyed the mushrooms – a great way to start the day! 2. **Great Room**: The room was new, spacious, and very clean. The Wi-Fi signal was strong, and they even provided slippers and heating. It was truly comfortable! 3. **Wonderful Service**: The front desk staff were not only handsome but also incredibly helpful. There was even someone dedicated to assisting with luggage. 4. **Fantastic Location for Food**: Right outside the hotel was my absolute favorite restaurant from the trip, called CIRO…. What made it even better was that it was so close and surprisingly free of Korean tourists, which I loved! Plus, there are a few Chinese restaurants on the same street, which is a bonus if you enjoy Chinese food. 5. **Minor Drawback (but with a silver lining)**: The only slight downside is that it's about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. It's not too far, but with luggage, navigating the uneven cobblestone streets can be a bit challenging. On the flip side, being further from the station means less noise. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel!!!"

Il Marzocco is centrally located in Florence, near Fortezza Da Basso Congress Center and a 3-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Station. Rooms are air-conditioned, and offer 600 satellite TV channels. Free WiFi is available throughout. Il Marzocco Boutique B&B is set in a historical building with frescoed ceilings. It also offers a self-catering apartment located 10-minute walk. The lounge is equipped with internet and LCD TV.

"It was close to the station, but the elevator was incredibly old. Overall, the structure is old, so if you are interested, we recommend that you do not stay. It was a double bed room, but it was the best size to spread the suitcase 1. The water area was clean, but there was a time when the hot water in the shower did not come out. The hotel repaired it, and after about 2 hours, hot water was available. The key is a very old type and requires a knack to open and close. In the morning, when I tried to open the key, I didn't open it 々 and it took about 5 minutes. The trick to unlock is to lock deeply, lift a little up, and turn it. Have a good trip, everyone. Grazie!"

"We stayed here for one night with breakfast included. The room was very spacious, truly beautiful, and quiet despite the nearby road. The structure is massive and has so much potential, though perhaps not fully realized. The thermal pools are excellent; it's a shame the outdoor pool was a little warm and therefore unusable. We enjoyed the relaxing massage, which was excellent! We had dinner at the restaurant, which was delicious and comprehensive. Breakfast was very pleasant. The staff were all young and talented. The only downside is that check-in is at 3 PM, so if you arrive in the morning, you'll have to pay a supplement to use the spa. Perhaps it would have been better to be transparent and disclose this on the website. Overall, a great find."

Excellent location, excellent treatment and service by all the staff, especially by the receptionist who is there in the mornings and who knows how to speak Spanish. Their kindness and attention: exceptional, the fact that it has a swimming pool, even if it is small, to take a dip especially in summer, with the heat that it is, is an important point to take into account, and although I have read that they do not warn that it does not have an elevator and that in many cases, like us, they send you to the second floor with many steps, it is true, but they also take your suitcases up and down. Without a doubt, I will stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Florence.

It's in a great location, 7 minutes from the station and 10 minutes from the Ufutzii Museum, but it was hard to find because there was no hotel sign! I was standing 10 meters away, but I couldn't find it even after walking back and forth, so I asked a nearby hotel staff member, who pointed to a small door and said, ”It's right there.” I pressed the intercom, had it opened, went up to the third floor, and finally checked in. The room was cute, and when I told them I was leaving early in the morning, they were flexible and said, ”I can make breakfast at the breakfast shop and have it delivered the day before.” There was a shower, a refrigerator, and bottled water for the bed. If you leave the room and go up one level, there is a shared terrace with a view of the roofs of the ancient city. If the check-in goes smoothly, it's a great place to stay.

Villa Tortorelli

Villa Tortorelli is a charming mix between a bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible. Check-in & First Impressions The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect. One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues. Room & Comfort I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning. The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily. One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets. Breakfast Experience The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right. The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city. One Minor Issue The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable. Final Thoughts Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive. Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for Karen’s service and the peaceful villa atmosphere!

We stayed at Agriturismo Podere l’Aione during our Tuscany road trip, and overall it was a pleasant stay with warm hospitality, but there is one important point future guests should know. First, the positives. The property itself is very charming and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful Tuscan countryside. The compound is spacious and relaxing, and the small cottage-style rooms feel cosy and private. The rooms appear fairly new (the property is only about four years old) and have modern amenities with a proper heating system, which made the stay comfortable. Parking inside the compound is also very convenient and safe. The hospitality was excellent. The owner’s daughter who welcomed us was very friendly, helpful and lovely. The lady attending breakfast was also incredibly warm and attentive, making the morning experience very pleasant. The people running the place truly make guests feel welcome. However, the main reason for our feedback is that the first photo shown in the listing does not appear to be this property. The image appears twice in the listing and shows a much larger estate with a very big swimming pool and a different compound layout. We booked the stay thinking it was that beautiful estate shown in the photos and were excited to experience that setting. When we arrived, we realised the accommodation is actually a smaller white cottage-style agriturismo, which is still beautiful, but quite different from the property shown in the first images. The one I uploaded the first two picture does not belong to this property. We were quite disappointed. Some more, it is the first image listed in this property, so we thought it is but if not. Because of this, it felt a little misleading at first as we kept wondering where that particular property in the photos was. In terms of pricing, similar agriturismo stays in this region with comparable cottage-style rooms can often be found for around SGD150 per night. However, we paid over SGD250+ which is roughly about 40% higher, because we believed we were booking the property shown in the main photo with the large swimming pool and grand compound. To be clear, the place itself is lovely, cosy, peaceful and well maintained, and the hospitality is wonderful. Our only suggestion would be for the management to update the listing photos so they accurately represent the actual property, which will help future guests have the right expectations. A small note for guests with mobility concerns: since the compound is quite spread out, you may need to walk a short distance and take a few steps to reach some of the cottages. Overall, it is still a charming countryside stay with very kind hosts, but the listing photos should better reflect the actual property

Everything was very good and comfortable. The location is close to the train station and all the main attractions. Given its proximity to the station, the noise level at night was as expected – not a surprise for me and acceptable. Breakfast, though seemingly modest at first glance, was always delicious with enough dishes for my taste (yogurt with candied fruit, whole-grain croissant, scrambled eggs, coffee, and fruit). Everything was fresh and pleasant. The room wasn't new, but it was clean everywhere, which is more important to me; the cleaning service was good. The staff were friendly, ready to chat (even in my native language, which is rare) or leave you be – they are very perceptive to guests' moods. Thank you for your service!

This hotel's rooms are incredibly beautiful and clean! They provide a wide array of disposable amenities, including slippers and body lotion, which is quite rare for European hotels. Our room even had a small balcony with a lovely view of the pool downstairs and the surrounding trees. While breakfast wasn't entirely to my taste, the variety was impressive, even featuring honey with a honeycomb. The front desk offers complimentary luggage storage, which was very helpful. A thoughtful touch was the free long-handled umbrellas available for guests, especially since it happened to be raining during our stay. The only real downside is that, despite being close to Florence train station in a straight line, the walk from the station to the hotel is actually quite long. Plus, exiting the Florence station involves going down a set of stairs, which is very inconvenient with large luggage. This made the walk to the hotel feel even longer, especially with intersections where poor signal made maps unclear and it was easy to get lost. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this hotel. The internal environment is very well-maintained, and the front desk staff are patient and polite. If I have the chance to visit Florence again, I would definitely choose this hotel. The price is truly excellent value for money.

The hotel is right next to the train station, just a short walk away. Super convenient! The 24-hour front desk made me feel very secure. The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate and well-equipped. It was very clean and promptly serviced. The front desk staff enthusiastically explained all the details: breakfast, key card, routes to major attractions, etc. I really appreciate it! The breakfast was fantastic! The lovely ladies on the breakfast team greeted everyone warmly, made coffee, and worked diligently and efficiently. Thumbs up! On the last day, I left my luggage at the hotel and picked it up in the afternoon before catching my train. When I picked up my bags, the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and even told me there was a restroom downstairs I could use. It's true that finding restrooms outside can be difficult! Ousman, the friendly guy, suggested I write down my feelings and share them with others, just writing whatever came to mind. I think he's right; others might need honest information. I spent some time choosing a hotel before I came, and it seems I made the right choice. Thanks again, I really enjoyed this trip! 😀😀

The hotel is located in a very small town. The hotel itself is good. I got a new room, there was no noise. Very clean, cleaned every day. Of the shortcomings I can note: no shampoo, a poorly working refrigerator and no glasses in the room. I asked for glasses at the reception, they sent me to the bar, where they gave me plastic glasses.... I took glass ones myself, since I do not drink from plastic. The hotel and Tirrenia itself are an ideal place to distance yourself from the world. Life in the city freezes at 8-9 o'clock. There is nowhere to go. A good supermarket and several restaurants are a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The food in none of them was particularly impressive. The sea is gorgeous. Very clean. The beach is also kept clean. Pisa is a half-hour bus ride from the hotel. There is nothing to do there, except for visiting the tower, but it is not long - 30 minutes maximum. Thank you for the rest.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers. The price was very reasonable, offering great value for the quality provided. The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, which was a pleasant surprise given the affordable rate. It felt fresh and well-maintained, making my stay comfortable. The hotel includes breakfast in the room rate, which is a nice touch, but the selection was disappointing. The food lacked variety and quality, with limited options that didn’t cater to diverse tastes. It was sufficient to start the day, but don’t expect a standout dining experience. The hotel features a pool, which is a great amenity, but it’s quite small and can feel crowded if multiple guests are using it. It’s fine for a quick dip, but not ideal for serious swimming or lounging. Location-wise, the hotel is a bit far from the city center, which might inconvenience some travelers. Public transportation options, particularly buses, are limited in the evening, so plan accordingly if you intend to explore the city late. A taxi or rideshare might be necessary for evening outings. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, but the connection is slow and unreliable at times, which could be frustrating if you need to work or stream content. For casual browsing, it’s manageable, but don’t expect high-speed performance. The service was satisfactory—staff were polite and responsive, though not overly warm or proactive. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and basic requests were handled efficiently. Overall, this hotel is a good pick for those prioritizing affordability and clean, spacious rooms. However, if you value proximity to the city, robust Wi-Fi, or a stellar breakfast, you might want to consider other options.

A Hidden Gem in Tuscany – Truly Special We absolutely loved our stay at I Parigi Corbinelli Residenze. This place is truly something special. The residence itself is a charming historic property that has been passed down through generations since the 1500s, and you can feel that beautiful sense of heritage the moment you arrive. The entire compound is incredibly gorgeous, peaceful, and full of character — it feels like a private Tuscan retreat. We arrived later than the official check-in time, but the owner was extremely kind and welcoming. He even called his son to come and help check us in despite the late hour. That level of hospitality really touched us. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. The hot water was excellent, the heating system worked perfectly, and we had a beautiful terrace to enjoy the surroundings. Everything felt cozy yet elegant. One of the highlights is the garden and breakfast area. Breakfast is simple but perfect — everything you need for a wonderful start to the day, and enjoying it while looking out over the peaceful garden made the morning feel magical. Another big plus is the very safe parking inside the property, which gave us great peace of mind while traveling. Honestly, the value for money here is incredible. The price they charge is almost underrated for such a beautiful place — it truly deserves more recognition. We also loved that there is a resident dog who played with our dog, which made the stay even more special for us. If our itinerary hadn’t been so packed, we would absolutely have stayed another night. This place is the perfect Tuscan getaway, and we will definitely return next time we are in the area. Highly recommended. ❤️
