An extremely cost-effective hotel with a free room upgrade. There is a free swimming pool with a constant temperature of 30 degrees and a hot spring pool. Breakfast is okay, not too many varieties, but good and filling.
This is a very tasteful hotel with very good service. You can overlook the snowy mountains in the distance. The breakfast is of good quality. The fried lamb chops and vegetarian meals for dinner are very good and very good! The front desk and restaurant staff were very kind and when the aurora appeared at night, the front desk promptly informed us to watch the aurora outdoors. If you come to Iceland next time, I hope to stay at the Rand Hotel!
Clean, sanitary, comfortable, and friendly staff! The hotel is large, with a sunny gym. I saw the aurora at night in this hotel. Parking is free, and there are many types of breakfast. Excellent
The hotel is clean with every amenity in need and even the call-up service for aurora. As we arrive quite late so we didn’t enjoy much. Personally think the price is a little bit high but if for all the amenities it still worths such value. The only point we were not that satisfied was that we called the reception for kettle to boil hot water but it took more than half an hour before we finally got the kettle to the room
Located in city center.
Walk distance to food center, famous hot dogs and a grocery shop. Room doesnt have AC so during summer you will have to open the windows or doors.
Toilet is decent sized and slightly leaking.
The location is hard to find. The room is small. Breakfast is OK, ordinary small hotel. But the price is still reasonable. Instead of being far away from it, there are ten independent small houses on the edge of the road. It should be good to see the aurora, but I don't know what hotel it is.
Great extra amenities. Easy access location, I even found a yarn shop nearby (Bobby's). Really liked the food options, and the shops are well thought out.
Clean modern hotel situated near the entrance to the town. Large room but space mostly in the washroom (if you like big washrooms its great). Breakfast is BIG plus in Iceland, hot cooked American breakfast (bacon, eggs, sauteed mushrooms, bread and toast), lots of juices and milk, three cereals available. Avoid the espresso machine just get the brewed coffee made by the staff. Tea is sachet so dependable. Brilliant stop on the way to the east
Disadvantages: The hotel room and floor are very dusty and not clean. The room was not soundproofed, and other tenants spoke in the corridor, and they heard it clearly. Although the hotel advertises as a five-star hotel, breakfast is actually not as good as the Guest house and three-star hotel we stayed in on this trip in bread, yogurt and so on.
Pros: Breakfast included, bathtub is large. The size of the room is OK in American country style.
When I checked out, oolong was also seen as other tenants signing more than 40,000 local currency dinners in my room number. Fortunately, another service staff immediately said that it was okay.

GGuest UserIt is nice experience to live in the bubble house in forest. Though we are lucky that we encounter severe storm the day we arrived, but the hotel does not offer earlier check in or later check out possibility, even the wind speed was above 120km/hour.
The electricity cut and light during storm felt a bit nervous. It might be an nature issue, I expect service to be more attentive!
For the paid price, i would alao expect service center bar and toillet could be seperate space.
it is very interesting experience to stay in forest. But one time is ok, because the service is not good for its price. A pity.

GGuest UserThe room was super warm, and the waiter sister also specially selected a river view room closest to the hot spring for us. It’s great to listen to the sound of running water and soak in the hot spring! It was snowing on the day of check-in, and the hot spring in the snow was really fun. The town is not far from Reykjavik. It is also a big town in Iceland. The transportation is convenient. Although there are not many people, there are still several restaurants. If you are tired of the traditional package of the hotel, you can drive or walk to the restaurant in the town. The next morning, I saw tourists riding horses on the opposite mountain to explore the volcanic spring!

GGuest UserThe room is large enough to open two 29 inches luggages. In general, it is good, but greater if towels can be cleaner. Location is great. 5 minutes walk to supermarket, fast food, restaurants. Gas station is nearby. A few free parking in front of hotel entrance.
ZZhaoyuminit's a very clean and well-organized apartment, we stayed 2 nights, and loved the experience. The well-equipped kitchen is the best one we ever encountered, the strong shower water pressure is like a heaven, specially after a long cold day out. We highly recommend it and love to go back for next trip.
