This hotel has staff that is friendly, conscientious and professional. Everyone went out of there way to make us feel welcome and special. I highly recommend this hotel for an looking to stay in Kalimbaka. The rooms are clean and have beautiful views. The pool has excellent service, food and 365 degree views. I will be staying here again and recommending it to friends and family going to Northern Greece.

Me and my partner had a pleasant and enjoyable stay at Alkyon Hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the views from the rooftop restaurant and the excellent breakfast, lots of variety and daily diversity. The stuff was really friendly and helpful with the information we asked for. Also, the people on the reception desk were really smiley and kind and we really appreciate that. They helped us finding really nice places to eat. The cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable. Our room was well-maintained throughout our stay, which made us feel very comfortable. The location is perfect because the hotel is located at the city centre and you can go everywhere you want anytime. Overall our stay at the Alkyon Hotel was absolutely amazing! See you again guys and thanks again for all!!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff are friendly and eager to help. We enjoyed the food at Thymeli restaurant. The stuffed vine leaves were delicious!!! Also loved the breakfast!! I enjoyed using the pool and lounge area with the lovely view of the rocks, but one thing I would suggest is to fix the steps going into the pool. Bed was comfortable and rooms was very clean. I appreciate the luggage holder in the room. Small details like this make the experience more pleasant. Thank you for a wonderful stay

The hotel is large in scale. Although it is newly renovated, it also has a sense of history. I found an old telephone booth in the lobby on the first floor. The rooms and toilets are very large and very clean. When I checked in, I found that the hotel also thoughtfully gave away a plate of fruits and a chocolate at the head of each bed, which is not a treat in other hotels. The only regret is that the location of the hotel is still a little away from the town. It is still not convenient if you walk to eat. If you have a car, it will be fine. You didn't take Ola very close to the big eye. The next morning, it was less than 15 minutes by car to reach the attraction, which was very convenient.

The hotel is just beside the train station and it is time to cross the railway after getting off the train. Otherwise it is difficult to find. Hotel service is very good, can help you call a taxi on Meyola, like a chartered car, 20 euros an hour, very convenient. At 4 o'clock in the afternoon, we called a taxi on Meilong Aola. At this time, there were very few people, and Meilong Aola was beautiful in the sunset! It takes 3 hours and 60 Euros for the car, which is very valuable.

Τα δωματια ζεστα και μοντέρνα ωστόσο έχουν βάλει το μπάνιο δίπλα στα κρεβάτια με τζαμαρία που δεν κλείνει καλά η πόρτα όποτε δεν υπάρχει καμία ιδιωτικότητα. Ίσως υπάρχει αυτή η τάση σε κάποιες ευρωπαϊκές πόλεις απέχει ωστόσο πολύ από την ελληνική κουλτούρα. Θα το συνιστούσα μόνο για έναν ταξιδιώτη, σε καμία περίπτωση για ζευγαρια. Είχαμε καλή εξυπηρετηση παρόλο που βρεθήκαμε εκεί μετά τις πλημμύρες που έπληξαν την πόλη. Το πρωινό ήταν a la carte αλλά οκ είχε ότι ζητήσεις και σε πολύ ωραία αίθουσα με θέα.

This hotel is very close to the bus stop, 150 meters walk away, very close to the shops and restaurants, the location is good, the hotel has two sides, we can see the mountains in the direction where we are staying, and we can see the small buildings in the lower part, which is very good. The hair dryer in the room I lived in was broken, and the Wi-Fi basically couldn't be used. Maybe it was because there were too many people using it. First of all, our main concern with children is hygiene and breakfast. This hotel has a good environment. Clean towels and bath towels are placed outside for guests to use in the stairwell. I first saw the hair on the towel when I entered the room... I took a coffee cup on the cup holder during breakfast, and saw a cup stained with water and lipstick. Obviously, it was manually cleaned without being wiped and disinfected. Breakfast was okay. It's just that when we first checked in, there were two groups staying in. After the group left, the specifications were reduced, the nuts were cancelled, and the eggs were changed from white eggs with red stamps to ordinary red eggs. The difference is obvious. We loved our stay at Oikia Guesthouse. The rooms were beautiful and modern. The bathrooms were modern and the beds were very comfortable. The guesthouse was also in an excellent location from which to visit the monasteries of Meteora. It also had a beautiful rooftop alfresco area to enjoy sunset drinks. Every morning we enjoyed a wonderful and generous breakfast. We would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone considering staying in Meteora.

Second time at this hotel and unusually for these days I thought it had improved. The staff were really good and friendly. The cleanliness was always top class and constantly been attended to. Unfortunately the hotel is over six floors with no lifts. They do ask people to inform them of any mobility issues but as the pool and reception are on different levels it could be challenging. We had no issues but others may have. The pool area is really nice. Great bar serving food and drink and no issues getting a sun bed. The view from the pool deck and bar is absolutely stunning. The trade off for the excellent views is the beach is down a steep hill and very tricky steps. There is a curtesy bus to and from a beach however which is free from the hotel. The beach is one of the best on the island and was the main reason we returned to this hotel. There are some bars and restaurants within walking distance but it’s quite a way and up hill on the way back. It’s a struggle if not impossible to get a taxi for short trips around the hotel as they are all based in Skiathos town. There is a local bus that runs from the beach passed the hotel to Skiathos town. It’s two euros each way and runs about every 30 minutes. Great for visiting town and runs up to midnight. If later it’s about 18 euros in a taxi which takes about 15 minutes. The hotel runs a free bus to town but need to book in advance as it gets busy. We had a few meals in the hotel. Breakfast was usual buffet fare and was ok. Three evening meals in the buffet restaurant were all very good. As we like to eat at different venues we didn’t eat much in the hotel but we had no complaints with any meal we had there. There is a restaurant above the bar that costs extra and requires booking but we didn’t use it on this visit. Rooms were nice and cleaned daily with fresh towels if required. We paid a bit extra for a sea view which was nice but spent more time at the bar than sat on the balcony. I think there is a range of rooms so not sure if they are all the same but ours were good and never heard any complaints from other guests. Fresh pool towels available every day from the small hotel shop. Some good walks in the local pine woods if you get bored on the beach. Skiathos is a stunning island and this hotel is great. Hope I haven’t put anyone off as I just wanted to post an honest review.
