"The Mars Cabin was incredibly comfortable and clean, with a full range of children's amenities, making it perfect for families. The hotel's personalized service was excellent. My child was just over 1.2 meters tall, but the hotel didn't charge extra. There were plenty of activities, so we never got bored. A special thanks to our butler, Xiao Zhao, who basically responded to our WeChat messages instantly. Whenever we needed a shuttle, he'd arrange it within 5 minutes. When I was leaving the hotel, my car accidentally got stuck in a sand pit. Under the scorching midday sun, Butler Xiao Zhao spent over an hour tirelessly helping me – putting down planks, shoveling sand, pushing the car, and finally coordinating the hotel's tow truck, even though my rental car didn't even have a tow hook (a note to Shenzhou Car Rental: provide cars with tow hooks!). He finally got my car out."

"We booked a space-themed room, which was spacious with great natural light from the large windows. The space-themed dolls, tents, and children's items were a hit with the whole family, including an adorable Bduck children's toiletries set. The service was excellent; they were very considerate with breakfast, laundry, and parking. For example, if the children couldn't get up, they could bring breakfast to the room, and they would also help bring the laundry back to the room to hang it up. The hotel's location is also great; it's within walking distance of Jade Emperor Pavilion and Gulou Street Night Market. Highly recommend staying here!"

The price is about 200 yuan, the room is about 30 square meters, there is a separate desk, separate bathroom, smart toilet.
The location of the hotel is also good, but there is no entertainment nearby at night. After 11 o'clock, all the stores in this neighborhood are basically closed. You can take a taxi to other places.

"Located in the very center of Zhongwei, a small city, the room wasn't very large, smaller than comparable hotels in Yinchuan, which was a bit surprising. The cleanliness was excellent, and the soundproofing was acceptable for a hotel in this price range. The breakfast quality matched the price, and the late-night congee was a nice touch. Service quality needs to go beyond the surface; it needs to be more detailed. For example, the napkins on the tables seemed thoughtful at first glance—one for each seat—but upon closer inspection, they were reused, and I don't know how many times they'd been used. It was nauseating! Another interesting thing was that, whether it was a requirement from the brand or a preference of the owner, the music in the elevator was an old 60s or 70s song, ”Yesterday Once More.” Is the hotel targeting older people?"

"The Yiye Xingkong Desert Tent experience was absolutely worth it! Upon check-in, we received complimentary Shapotou tickets, free sandboards, and even anti-sand masks. They even provided earplugs – talk about attention to detail! The tent itself was spacious, the bedding was soft, and it had both air conditioning and a private bathroom. During the day, my family and I enjoyed sandboarding and camel riding. At night, if the weather was clear, we could lie on the dunes, gaze at the stars, and fall asleep to the gentle sound of the wind. It perfectly combined the wild adventure of a desert exploration with the opportunity to learn more about the stars! Highly recommended!"

GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is not particularly new, it has complete facilities and the surrounding environment is relatively good and quiet. The heating and air conditioning are sufficient, giving southerners a full sense of security. There are also many types of breakfast, and in order to avoid waste, they are very considerate and cut into small pieces. When breakfast is about to end, they will knock on the door of each room to ask if you have eaten breakfast. The service was very good and enthusiastic. The air conditioner was already on when I checked in. The lady at the front desk also helped to deliver the luggage to the room and explained the precautions very considerately.

GGuest UserLovely hotel near Wanda Jinfeng mall, surrounded by many pharmacies. The fruit shop downstairs called 小任果 is one of the best fruit chains in Yinchuan with a huge offering of fruits and yoghurt and nuts. We bought these to bring along for our day trips out of Yinchuan. Its nice to stay at Jingfeng district as its quieter than drum tower area.
The lobby has snacks, fruit and drinks all day for guests. Coffee was super !
We used the complimentary washer dryer which is a fabulous amenity.
We appreciated the free pickup at the airport which we arranged 1 day prior by telephone booking from Shanghai. The reception and the breakfast counter staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The toiletries were all upmarket
If there is any con - its the plump cleaning lady at the 3rd floor. She appeared unhappy when we asked her to top up the bath wash when it was low and she forgot to top up. She just handed us a bottle to install ourselves. She also didnt wipe the control panel for the room unlike her colleague who does it when she is on duty so we can see our finger prints still on the glass after housekeeping.
Small issue though. Cos everything else about the hotel was great

GGuest UserIt's worthy of being called Xipo. The service and the room are so good.
Taking advantage of the off-peak season, I came alone to experience the Yellow River Homestay. Each homestay has a different decoration style. I chose Xipo on the recommendation of my friend and was very satisfied. The facilities and services corresponding to this price are really worth it. The price of two nights in the off-season is equivalent to the price of a normal night. The hair dryer is Dyson, and the toiletries are all from the laboratory. There are also beer + drinks in the mini bar, freshly ground coffee, and freshly made bread (forgot to take a picture). The sea salt rolls are super delicious, and the scones are also good, not sweet at all, which suits my taste.
The whole homestay is very quiet, close to the Yellow River, and there are trails. If there are many people at night, you can drink, eat barbecue and watch the stars by the Yellow River.
The service of private butler Xiaoying is really excellent. She will contact the guests about three days before you check in and help arrange some matters, such as car pick-up, introduction of food, drink and entertainment nearby, food, drink and entertainment in Zhongwei, and travel photography needs. She will also recommend it. After check-in, she will also take meticulous care of the guests. She deserves 100 points. Such a niche place is highly recommended for family and couple travel. If you go to Zhongwei, you must stay at Huanghe Suji to experience the local traditional customs.

WWitidaWe came to Yinchuan to visit Helan Rock painting mountain an Xixia tomb so we didn't see downtown that much. The hotel is in the center of the district, near the drum tower, surrounded by stores and restaurants, easily to find everything you need. The staff of the hotel didn't speak English but they're polite and kind. On the day we checked out there's a misunderstanding: they said we had to pay them while we had already prepaid via TRIP.com. We showed them the receipt in Chinese but they couldn't find it in their system. After 15 mins they let us go. We confusedly contacted TRIP customer service and were informed clearly there's no problem at all with our payment. TRIP dealt with the hotel themselves. I wouldn't complain the hotel about this since such thing could happen but I suggest you to always keep the receipt in Chinese and contact TRIP customer service suddenly and let them deal with the hotel, especially if your train is about to leave the station :)

JJiangmiyeyeI was looking for a hotel that would be comfortable for introverts – a place where I could relax, enjoy the scenery, people-watch, observe the wind, birds, and insects, with minimal interaction but genuine service, and quick responses when needed. serendipitously, I found it this time.
A few days before check-in, the housekeeper set up a WeChat group to inquire about our arrival method and dining reservations. After check-in, we received reminders and activity notifications. Before bed, we got a night reminder and the on-duty staff's phone number. Throughout, there was no unnecessary chatter or disturbance, and face-to-face interactions were warm and sincere.
Upon entering the manor, the May grapevines were still slowly growing, and all I saw was a vast expanse of loess. However, stepping into the lobby, the contrast was striking – an indoor tropical garden! Staghorn ferns, banana trees, vines, orchids, and other plants thrived beautifully; some banana trees even bore fruit. The restaurant on the second floor offered a panoramic view of the Helan Mountains, with the side profile of the Reclining Buddha clearly visible. If the weather was good, we could enjoy the sunset from the restaurant, watching the sun slowly disappear behind the mountains, painting the sky with brilliant hues.
While the accommodation already met my expectations, the restaurant's delicious food was truly a pleasant surprise. Perhaps it's my stereotype, but I've always felt that guesthouse restaurants tend to be a bit pricey and the food generally mediocre. Who would have thought that the dinner was so good that my family and I decided to book lunch for the next day before we even finished eating? For dinner, we ordered stewed lamb from Yanchi, scrambled eggs with sand onion, and 'tangmian youxiang' (half portion). For lunch the next day: 'chuanzui' carp, fragrant goji berry shoots, and lamb buns or dumplings? Oh, I forgot… The taste was on par with, or even surpassed, well-known old restaurants in the city. (Two dishes and one staple were more than enough for two people – I was stuffed! Order moderately, don't be as gluttonous as me!)
Finally, a big thank you to our housekeeper Niu Niu, store manager Li Yang, and the other staff members. Niu Niu was always enthusiastic and polite in all our interactions, always greeting us with a smile. Store manager Li Yang provided detailed explanations during the evening wine tasting, ensuring everyone felt included (even us in the corner, hahaha!). And to the other young people whose names I can't recall but whose brief encounters left an impression: the girl who led us on the cellar tour; the clear-eyed young man who diligently used a lint roller to pick up stray hairs in each room; and the curly-haired guy who effortlessly lifted our luggage when we got out of the car. Also, the sisters in the restaurant – every single person made me feel genuinely welcome, polite, and never intrusive. I'm already looking forward to my next visit with friends for a longer stay!
