What a lovely gem of a hotel! I was reluctantly (very reluctantly) persuaded to leave Beijing for the weekend and head for the nesrest beach - Qinhuangdao. The Bullet Train was great fun - we splashed out on first-class tickets and had the first-class cabin all to ourselves. Qinhuangdao was a welcome change of pace from the self-important hussle of Beijing. The bad things first - the weather was terrible and the beach itself is more 1970s Blackpool than present-day Antibes. But the Hampton by Hilton was a delightful surprise. The staff are absolutely delightful. Although they don’t speak English, the use of a few translation apps soon explained to them what we needed and they always did their best to look after us. The rooms are great - we even got a free upgrade to a suite. The breakfast options are many and varied. We were the only Western guests that weekend and the other guests seemed to be Chinese middle-class families. If I had to guess I would say they tended to be from other parts of China as they didn’t seem to be the usual rude impatient Beijingers. It was lovely to see Al the little children having fun with their parents. So, our thanks to the ladies at Reception, the young concierge guys, the housekeepers and the busy breakfast staff. The owners of the this hotel is blessed with great staff. Thank you all so much for looking after us so well.

Excellent location to see the Great Wall. Walking distance to main gate and tram. No crowds, cool weather, and very friendly and helpful staff. After a long hike on the wall, returning to the cool courtyard was luxurious!

After we arrived that morning, we had lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant. The food was very delicious and the service attitude of the restaurant chef was superb. The interior of the hotel is in a garden style with carved beams and painted buildings, which is beautiful. The room is warm and comfortable, and it feels like home. If I have the opportunity to visit Chengde in the future, I will definitely stay here again.

The staff are nice and very approachable They are wonderful and helpful. Check - in and check out were hassle free. In terms of the location, it may not be at the centre of commercial area (McDonald's wont deliver there) but it is just across the Handan East Railway Station so it is good. The facilities are better than expected. Breakfast maybe is amazing for Chinese but for non- Chinese, the choices are limited. In general, it is a good hotel and I highly recommend it specially for those who needs to travel via Railway.

The hotel is conveniently located and the parking lot is free for guests staying in the hotel. Although the room is not large, it can meet the basic needs of business travelers, and the quality of guest supplies is also good. Overall the experience was good but at check-in I was surprised at the line of questioning from the clerk. Why is the name of the local company I came to visit required during check-in? My visa is a resident visa so I was surprised at this line of questioning. Other than that I don’t have any complaints and quite enjoyed my stay.

The suite I booked had a strong musty smell when I entered the room. Because I checked in late, I didn't change rooms. Because Tangshan was quite cold that night, I wanted to turn on the air conditioner to warm it up. As a result, the air conditioner was turned on for more than an hour, but it was not hot at all. So I am very dissatisfied with this hotel. The cost is not high, but you are a star hotel, and this is not as good as non-star hotels. There is not enough water. The room we were given only had a small window but it had a nice view and comfortable bed. Only complaint is that the room is a bit dated and had strong smell of cigarettes even though we asked for non smoking. Afternoons tea is a nice feature

The lighting configuration in the house is quite unique, the room is warm and comfortable, clean and tidy. There are many specialty snack shops around the hotel, and you can stroll around in your spare time while waiting for the flight. It is a hotel with good value for money!

its a new hotel but very noisy the doors banging. very hot no aircon. bed moves and makes a noise when u turn around. other than that its ok. i will choose another hotel in future

The room was nice, the service was excellent. The breakfast was also very rich, and the convenient location made the price a great value for money. Swimming costs extra, but it's nothing compared to the price... It was snowing when I went there, and it was so nice to take a bath when I was freezing. One small drawback is that the gym facilities are not complete, but there is a set of dumbbells that I would give a thumbs up to.

Very cost-effective, spacious room, two beds can be put together, complete facilities. It has its own parking lot, convenient parking. Across the road is the Vientiane Tiancheng, which is very convenient for eating, shopping, and watching movies. The front desk lady is professional and gentle. Hotel is situated within a neighbourhood area, suitable for those interested to experience the city from a local viewpoint. Grocery/departmental stores and various food choices within a stone's throw. Hotel staff is attentive and does great work ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Will stay here again.

The May Day family tour in Chengde, considering the location, room environment, surrounding facilities, price and other factors, finally booked Tianbao Holiday, stayed for three nights, very satisfied. The hotel is located in the city center, with complete surrounding facilities. Shopping malls, supermarkets, civic squares, night markets, restaurants, etc. are basically within a radius of one kilometer and can be reached on foot. It is not far from the Summer Resort, you can walk, ride a shared electric motorcycle, or take a taxi at the starting price. Parking at the hotel is also very convenient, with parking lots on the ground and underground. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy, and the decoration is relatively new. The room we booked has a floor-to-ceiling window with a great view! The children like to take the hotel's sightseeing elevator the most. The staff is enthusiastic and Pingping is beyond professional and warm-hearted. There is free Tremella soup in the evening, and the children drink it every night. There is a shortage of water and laundry detergent, and the response is super fast. Overall, the hotel is still very good, and I will choose Tianbao Holiday next time I come to Chengde!

The hotel is in a very good location, very close to the Summer Resort. There is a large shopping mall on the front street where you can buy things and eat. We were warmly welcomed on checking in, and were pleasantly surprised to be given a complimentary upgrade, followed by a room with a waterfront view. The travel desk offered private English-speaking tours to various locations; we took the tour to the famed Mountain Resort 避暑山庄. Hospitality provided by the reception desk was graciously warm. All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone staying over, even if it were just for 1 night.

I took my parents to Chengde to escape the summer heat and chose a relatively new hotel near the high-speed rail station. This hotel had just opened a few months ago. It only takes 7-8 minutes to walk from the high-speed rail station, which is very convenient. The service staff were very nice and enthusiastic. Seeing that my parents were older and arrived in the morning, they arranged an upgraded room. The air conditioning was comfortable, the room was clean, and there was free water, coffee, tea, and a refrigerator! The upgraded room has an automatic toilet, and each room has wireless mobile phone charging equipment, which is very technological and fashionable! The bedding is very comfortable, the pillows are soft and hard, and the breakfast is rich and varied, and they are all delicious! It's a very clean hotel!

We booked six rooms in total, which were super comfortable and very satisfactory. We can dine in the restaurant, which has large portions and good taste. It is worth having! The beautiful girl at the front desk is very beautiful and enthusiastic. I will go there again next time!

My experience was overall good, but the bathroom of the room I booked for the first night (single, queen bed) was so stinky at night that I could not bear it. I called the concierge, and the maid came to clean the bathroom (they were very fast= good service) but the problem is in the pipes, not in the cleanliness, (it was very clean) so spraying a bit of air freshener won't solve the problem. I changed rooms the following night. Also, it was quite noisy at night and in the early morning, they should keep an eye on noisy guests. Last thing, but not less important, people were smoking inside the hotel corridors and it was stinky. The management should try to enforce the rules of non-smoking. I understand that know nobody in the hotel wants to call on the smoking clients, but not enforcing the law results in other clients being unhappy too. All in all, I would probably stay there again.

The room is on a high floor with a good view and is basically unaffected by street noise, so it is quite quiet; the service is good, the hygiene is good, and the breakfast variety is relatively complete; free parking is available in the underground parking lot, but the parking lot is too large and difficult to find the way, the parking lot environment is not very good, and the charging speed of the charging pile is unstable and takes a long time.

I recently stayed in room 3129 at this hotel and overall, I had a good experience. The location is excellent as it sits right in front of the beach. The hotel also has a hot spring which is a nice addition, although some areas were not functioning properly due to being broken. The reception staff was very attentive and friendly, particularly one male employee. However, it seemed that the female staff members were not as willing to work. I highly recommend trying the massage services offered at the hotel. I had a neck and back massage which left me satisfied. The breakfast buffet was decent and the dining room supervisor and the reception staff at the buffet were friendly and hardworking. Most of the cooks and servers provided good service. I would also recommend paying for the dinner buffet as it offers a wide variety of seafood. The only downside was a young grill cook who lacked proper manners when I asked a question about the food. He responded lazily and rudely. Additionally, there was a young waitress with a tattoo on her leg who seemed uninterested in working. While the rest of her colleagues were cleaning and setting up tables, she would simply join them and sit down or play with her mobile phone. In terms of the room, the cleanliness was below the minimum standard. It was quite neglected, as they only mopped the floor and it still wasn't clean. There were hairs from previous guests throughout the room. The private hot spring in the room could also use some improvement. The location was very good. It was very close to Tiger Stone beach which was a beautiful place. The streets around this hotel are very cozy, lined with pines. The hotel management was very cooperative and welcoming. The room was very comfortable. I only missed one thing and that was a connection between the lobby and the room. There was a disconnection between the two and it felt like I was living in an apartment room. Else everything was perfect. I recommend this hotel at 北戴河。

I would like to call it a hotel with great value for money for sea-viewing in the off-season Location: Take bus No. 34 from Qinhuangdao Station to the main bus terminal. You can check in and stop on the way. The bathing place and Dove Nest Park are both directly accessible! The disadvantage is that you need to take a taxi after getting off the bus because it is a bit of a detour to get there. It is not recommended to walk. However, the beach and the seaside behind the hotel after arriving at the station can perfectly make up for this Scenery: Look at the picture below. It was such an unique experience to stay in a hotel inside the ancient city wall, it felt like travelled back to China in the olden days. As it was off-peak season when we visited 山海关，we were upgraded to a family room, which mean there is a separate bedroom with a single bed, on top of a master room with a double bed. As it was rather cold and we were tired from all the walking, we decided to make life easy by eating at the restaurant within the hotel. We didn't expect much though. But..., we were much much more than surprise the dishes were Ace standard, be it in presentation or taste! A big big thumb up! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, we really enjoyed the service extended to us! It is no doubt hotel staff in China places their guests at top priority, making them feel at home at all times. P.S the teapot was not filled with tea but a yummilicious 松茸汤。

Very cute and charming hotel which it is actually a museum! Just on the side of the entrance to the Shanhai Pass and in walking distance to several attractions. The staff is very friendly and welcoming! Can not thank you enough for all you great attentions and help also recommendations during my stay. The hotel restaurant definitely a must to try the food is delicious! Definitely will be back to this hotel and recommend to anybody visiting Shanhaiguan!!

A very nice service, listening to guest’s need. Fruit plate every afternoon with delicious fruits. I asked and got room changed due to noise and smell from kitchen. Also agreed to checkout 2 hours later than regular checkout time.

The room is clean and atmospheric, with complete facilities. The hair dryer is very useful. They were thoughtfully given a power card to use. It's only a ten-minute drive from Qinhuangdao Station, and there's a newly opened Jialejia nearby which is very lively. The fruits delivered are of high quality, and my husband loves them 🧑🏻🦱. The front desk service is friendly and enthusiastic, and the room sister is gentle in speech. ps: Thanks again to the check-in and night shift front desk today and the room sister who helped open the door. The only drawback is that there are no tissues on the bedside table in the room. There is basically no overhead light in front of the mirror in the room. The star who took the photo was secretly sad, but these are minor problems. 🌸 I will choose here again next time I come to Qinhuangdao.
