With a stay at Great Blue Heron Hotel in Scugog, you'll be steps from Great Blue Heron Charity Casino and a 5-minute drive from Seven Mile Island. Head straight for the casino, or wait for that lucky feeling while you enjoy one of the other recreational opportunities, such as a fitness center. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and gift shops/newsstands. Enjoy a meal at the restaurant or snacks in the hotel's coffee shop/cafe. Quench your thirst with your favorite drink at the bar/lounge. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite. Stay in one of 116 guestrooms featuring Smart televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and cable programming is available for your entertainment. Bathrooms have complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. "PROS: New, clean, secluded, decent enough gym, quiet, boring, no chemical cleaner scents other than the towels and sheets that will stay on your skin 100%... I always bring my own due to this. Free floride water lol...🙄 Don't drink it. CONS: The heavy room doors slam insanely hard, fast and would chop fingers off, blow out eardrums and shake the walls. I woke up every door slam, hard to not. Mind blowing to spend money building a Hotel and not consider to have quality safe quiet doors. SOLUTION! I had to use some ”white noise” to drown out the crazy door slams. CASINO is a lifeless end of the line in purgatory vibe, but I'm not into that activity and wasn't there for that. If you want a clean, new, mostly quiet nice hotel, this is a good choice if you find a good deal. Service I never ordered food but the complementary tea and coffee are ok if stocked, NO Milk Alternatives and boring list of food to over pay for."

"My stay at this hotel was the best experience I've had in Toronto. It's right in the absolute city center, making it super convenient for landmarks and shopping. A Chinese guy at the front desk was especially welcoming; even though I arrived very late, he proactively arranged a high-floor, quiet room for me and gave me plenty of water, which made me feel really warm and cared for. It's a shame I was only there for the weekend and spent most of my time out exploring, so I didn't get to enjoy the hotel as much as I would have liked. I'll definitely be back next time!"

"Hotel wasn’t bad, but there’s no amenities in the room at all.. not even water… every time I wanted to have some water, I’d need to go to the lobby and ask for some bottles, same for toothpaste (there’s basically no amenities in the room), the coffee machine was nasty as well."

"So, the leading positive is the buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant -Aqua. Decent selection and good quality. Fresh omelet station. It is generally an add-on or a slightly higher room cost when included. The front desk service was friendly. Parking is expensive at $12 per day down a back alley and under a low concrete parkade roof - max height of just over 6 feet. Limited parking available. Service for cleaning making up the room is the decided downfall here. We placed the Grey- please make up the room card on the door each morning before departing. First day, nothing by 5:00pm. First room attendant in the hall - not my assigned room, second attendant - not my room, third attendant - not my room. Pattern? Finally, someone bothered to take ownership and brief a supervisor? to request someone. I'm not sure about the purpose of the signs since clearly they are meaningless. Two days later, a Saturday...same thing. 4:30 pm and still no service. I mean, we are content with towels and coffee pods, but you need to find someone first to even achieve that... A couple of the last days, the room attendant was very good and friendly. Last day, 28c out, and a/c stopped working. Not optimal. Only one of the two front elevators is in service, and that one was not functioning on one day. Overall, it was a very average experience. It was a bit of a let-down for a Crowne Plaza, particularly when the hotel was never particularly busy during our 7 night stay."

"This was by far the most amazing stay we had throughout all of North America. Absolutely everything was perfect. We were welcomed by Audrey, who was the sweetest hotel employee we encountered in Canada. She made us feel so comfortable and pampered. I had an amazing birthday thanks to you, the upgrade was already such a beautiful touch, but the piece of chocolate cake you left in the room while we were out was so thoughtful and very delicious. Thank you ❤️ The room is spacious, beautiful and with the most gorgeous view on the falls. The beds are big and comfy, the bathroom products are good as I already knew that brand. The breakfast was great, diverse and generous. There is a restaurant in the hotel open til 23:00, as well as a souvenir shop. The lounge area is so relaxing and also allows you to enjoy the view . We were given vouchers to try light therapy at the spa, it was great and everyone was so lovely! The gym is really good, there’s everything you’d find in a regular gym and even headphone, apples, towels and water + you can train while looking at the Niagara Falls! The jacuzzi and sauna outside are right next to the swimming pool and spa. Most importantly, the waterfalls are a 25-minute walk or 5-minute drive from the hotel. I will tell everyone who visits the Niagara Falls to stay at this hotel, it’s worth the price and the surrounding hotels are really not as nice, (and this is coming from someone who stayed in Marriotts and budget hotels in 100+ countries.) Thanks again for making me feel special on my birthday 🫰🏻"

"I've stayed at many Marriott hotels, mostly in the Katong area, so I have a pretty consistent comparison. Generally, staff with Indian accents tend to have subpar service attitudes, and the hygiene conditions are often poor. Several Marriotts I've stayed at were undergoing renovations, and the smell was unbearable. The newer the renovation, the more literally eye-watering it was."

"I stayed here on 2 separate bookings over the 2 week trip to Canada (when i first arrived, and after travelling to Quebec, before departing for home). Both times the rooms have been clean, comfortable with lovely decor. The shower has nice pressure, bathroom was clean. Hotel staff also clean the rooms daily. The reception staff were nice and responsive. The location was very convenient to get to both Rogers Centre and Scotiabank Arena. 10/10. And of course convenient to get to Union Station. Will definitely stay here again next time i try to catch the Dodgers in Toronto!"

Came to Toronto for a conference and booked this apartment a few days in advance. It wasn't cheap and didn't include breakfast, but I chose it for its proximity. I didn't have high expectations, but after checking in, I felt it was excellent value for money. It's on the 44th floor, the highest level with a balcony, and the sky is directly overhead – the view is perfect! I just felt the safety could be a bit better, as it's completely open.

The hotel's hardware facilities are fine, but the front desk service... I hope they hire more staff with a better service mindset. I owed just over 67 yuan for the hotel fee and gave 70, so I should have gotten more than two yuan back. I was really tired and just wanted to go back to my room to rest since it was late at night. Then this classic conversation ensued: Her: ”There's just over one yuan left, do you want your change?” Me: ”Yes, please.” (I just wanted to go rest quickly) Her: ”Do you want the cash now?” Me: ”OK.” Her: ”Can I give it to you when you check out?” Me: ”OK.” (I really just wanted to end the conversation) Her: ”Can I just not give it to you? It's only a bit over one yuan.” Me: ”OK.” (So tired, and hadn't even eaten yet) Her: ”OK”

The hotel location is around 5-8 minutes on foot to the Niagara Falls Ferry so it’s very convenient. I can’t say the room they gave me was the best, the “view” was of the pool, there were fruit flies, the ventilation in the bathroom released a really musty odor if not turned on, and the floors were not very clean. Overall 6.8/10.

I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of prior communication regarding the check-in procedure. Upon arrival, we entered the loby area, and we were welcomed by the security officer who explained to contact the company for instructions which included sending photos of my ID along with a separate image of me holding it. After paying a deposit, we were finally granted access to the apartment. This process took nearly an hour, and we were surprised to find that our unit was located on the 48th floor of the tower. While this didn’t bother us, it would have been helpful to know in advance, especially for those who suffer from vertigo. Reliable Wi-Fi is essential, as a lack of connectivity can be quite problematic. The apartment itself was small and cosy, offering impressive views of the CN Tower. However, upon our arrival, the driver was still drying towels and bedding, which I found to be inappropriate. The small balcony had very dirty glass that had not been cleaned, and the kitchen was not entirely tidy. Additionally, the bedroom carpet was heavily stained, and we were required to remove our shoes. Upon checking out, we had to take out the trash and wash the towels, bedding, and dishes, which consumed another hour of our time. I couldn't help but wonder what the cleaning staff was doing. It’s worth noting that a deposit was taken, and failure to adhere to the rules would result in its forfeiture. Although I generally avoid complaining, We felt overwhelmed by the expectations, especially after paying for our vacation. Furthermore, if extending the stay for a few additional hours, there is a significant extra charge. The elevators were consistently busy, and during our departure, the security personnel in the concierge area were rather rude, insisting we leave the lobby despite the presence of chairs and tables. We simply wanted to arrange our next ride without having to do so on the street. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, but the apartment could benefit from more thorough cleaning, and the rules could be more accommodating for guests.

I chose this hotel for a layover and was quite satisfied! Facilities: The facilities are well-equipped and clean. Drinking water is provided, and the bedroom and bathroom are spacious with a comfortable king-sized bed and a large TV. Some of the handles in the bathroom are a bit old, and you need to bring your own toiletries. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Environment: Quiet at night and close to the airport. There's a McDonald's nearby. However, it's quite far from the city center, making it suitable for transit but not for city sightseeing. Service: The service is excellent, convenient, and efficient. The front desk staff handled check-in with fluent English, and you can check out as early as 5:30 AM. There's also a round-trip airport shuttle service.
