"The hotel is located on main street with food access to the big bridge that connects the villa velha. Not so far away is little favela but if you go the city is a good area. The hotel is designed in 2000 year style so is not super modern but is not vintage. The wet sauna and small swimming pool is a plus. View from the 4th floor is half residents buildings and half mountain, which is the best spot for a picture in the hotel."

Room: The room was spacious and modern, with a comfy bed and a lovely balcony. However, we did notice that some areas looked a bit outdated for a Sheraton standard. My boyfriend travels a lot for work and expected a little more in terms of maintenance. Service: Staff was friendly and attentive, but there were a few hiccups. Check-in was slower than expected, and we had an issue with our room key not working one night. However, they resolved it quickly. We also appreciated the concierge’s local recommendations for restaurants and activities. Overall Experience: We enjoyed our stay, but there’s room for improvement. It’s a great choice for couples looking for a mix of relaxation and city vibes. My boyfriend found it a bit pricey for what was offered, but for me, it was worth it for the view and the pool! Even though Trip.com states that reservations cannot be changed, the pousada was accommodating and helped make adjustments when needed, which shows their commitment to great service.
