Kantary Hotel Ayutthaya

We only stayed for one night, but this hotel had everything we needed. The rooms were large and clean, and included a kitchenette with large fridge. The bathroom had both a tub and separate shower. There is an ironing room on the 16th floor with an iron and ironing board to iron your clothing. The 16th floor also has a beautiful pool (with heated jacuzzi) and fitness centre. We had dinner and breakfast and it was all quite good. The egg station at the back was quick and the food was good. This hotel seemed quite popular with golfers, as we saw several checking in while we were there. It is conveniently located with a shopping mall across the street, and a small food night market down the road. Accessing both requires crossing the road using one of the above-road pedestrian walkways.

Behind the wall there is a hidden oasis. This is a perfect hotel with amazing architecture and the best outlook. Room 4 and 6 have a great view over the river to the temple. The bar upstairs is very relaxing and great selection of cocktails. The cheesecake is so special. Breakfast or diner on the terrace just watching the river and the world go by is very relaxing. I love the little lounge nook with the pillows, just ideal for reading or surfing or snoozing. Staff service was perfect. I will be back.

Quite a decent place. Older style hotel. Room fine, good river view too. Bed comfortable. Do not expect to have a refreshing shower unless you are under 150cm as it is fixed to the wall and made for small people. Anyone taller and bending down the only option, very poor really. Pool was quite good but cold as it gets no sun until much later in the afternoon. Refreshing though. Various on-site restaurants. Bar near lobby area, prices way too much I noticed. Breakfast was quite good although the staff were not friendly, seemed disinterested and some often seen larking about maybe as it was not too busy when we went. 5 minutes walking distance to train station where there are Tuk Tuks and a few eating places as well as the usual street food. 7-11 too. Train to or from BKK is worth the experience (but takes a while to go 70km) and 3rd class trip costs 15 THB...wtaf! The boat river crossing is closed at the moment as the river is too high. Getting across the river needs to be by Tuk Tuk or taxi really. Normally at least one Tuk Tuk outside the hotel too. You know the form, must haggle them down. We used Grab a lot and got where we wanted to go. Probably can walk to some of the historic sites but probably not advised and Grab is cheap and has AC so is the way to go. There is Soi Farang and Grand Street for a livelier atmosphere with more bars and restaurants, again a cheap taxi ride away. Overall not a bad place and decent location for a reasonable and not too expensive a price.

Hello, that's Elli and Eyan. We've been looking for the place like this forever! Such a beautiful small apartment we were staying in, with a kitchen and nice shower, with a hot tub and a balcony. House keeping stuff and other services are so nice and caring. Pool and jacuzzi were also superb. We were enjoying each other SOOOOO much in this beautiful hotel, super atmospheric.... People! Also, breakfasts are the best! It's soo nice to go down for the breakfast every morning. Varieties of different foods and beautiful relaxing music... Caring stuff that fills your coffee or tea cup any time you are about to stand up and get it by yourself... Recommended from the bottom of our hearts 💓

A very good choice for a 1 night trip from Bangkok, just an hour drive, having freshwater river prawn as lunch and then checking-in this stylish, boutique hotel (24 units in total) by the river. Beautiful architecture, big trees and greenery surrounding help cooling down a bit the hot summer in April. I appreciate cleanliness here. Strong hot flow of shower was there in the bathroom, though you may not need it during summer. Friendly and welcoming staff, both at reception and dinning room by the river (for both dinner and breakfast shift, all were friendly, polite and nice). Suitable for slow life weekenders, with a good book and you’ll be fine, not eventful, not much adrenaline-rush activities here. However, I faced some difficulties, (1) electric breaker in room no. 21 was not working properly, as air-con and electricity went blackout every hour for one hour (this ruined my sleep at night and it was hot during summer and air con was on for 1 hour and off for another, and on again, went like this the whole time I stayed). The next day the electrician went to help temporarily fixed and he did very well to solve it (i.e. direct connecting without passing through breaker). Later at checkout, I was told the hotel management considered this and exercised discretion to offer me apologetic discount for the room rate, which I did not expected, but much appreciated. (2) safety box in a cabinet below TV must have been forgotten to be securely fixed with the wooden part of the cabinet (it was just placed there in the cabinet and could be easily removed as a whole and carried out of the cabinet), (3) I requested twice for an ice bucket but it must have been forgotten, as it was not provided to the room. All the above was only for room no. 21, but another room no. 23 all things went perfect without a thing to complain, and this was my second visit here and all things went perfect also during my first visit (almost 3 years ago). I like this place, will come again for a one-night trip from Bangkok. Keep up the good work!
THANN Wellness Destination

I had requested my email review to be sent to Khun Tony (Thitipat) Suppattranont, the Founder and MD of Thann to thank him for his handwritten letter that was in our room when we checked in. We also noted that we could let him know if we had any feedback or comments. Unfortunately, he did not leave behind an email address or any contact information in the letter so I could not contact him directly with my suggestions. To-date, noone has acknowledged my email (it was sent twice on 24th & 30th Dec) so I am posting it here: Overall, we had a good stay, however there are several things I would like to mention, and I will list them in point form below: 1.    Good communications from Khun Milk prior to check-in: I had several questions about my booking (which I bought via Megatix) and she answered them promptly and suggested that we book our spa appointment on 22 Dec when we check in beforehand. 2.    Signs along the roads to Thann Wellness Destination were not visible enough. I missed the turn into the resort because the signs were too small. 3.    The check-in process was smooth and our bags were brought to our rooms whilst we went for our massage, our room was also ready at 12.30pm after we finished. 4.    The complimentary afternoon tea set was good but it was a pity that a wider variety of drinks were not available. I requested for hot green tea and was told that it was not included in the package and had an extra charge. We also asked if the fruit juices available were fresh juice and were told that they were not. It was a surprise that fresh juice was not available at a wellness resort. 5.    We attended the facial workshop after our afternoon tea and were excited to be able to try the various Thann products (we have not used them before). To me, this is a very good marketing tool to introduce Thann products to people new to them. My spouse loved the sunscreen and bought it after the workshop (the 10% discount was well appreciated). Unfortunately, the activity was conducted in Thai (we were given basic instructions on what to do) and we were not fully able to enjoy the full workshop experience. We were able to try some new products provided to us in our suite on the 2nd day (shampoo, conditioner, body butter, etc) and my spouse went back to buy the hair conditioner before we checked out as she loved it too. She also bought a pair of pants which she liked very much. I asked if there was a Thann loyalty program available for us to sign up but was told there wasn't. I was surprised as I googled online later and found out that there is a loyalty program available, perhaps only for customers at your retail stores. May I suggest that perhaps guests at the resort can be automatically signed up as members (if they aren't already) and offered some additional benefits for further stays or purchases. My spouse mentioned that she might try more Thann products in the future and this could be one way of attracting and retaining customers. 6.   Breakf
