"The rooms are this hotel are very nice. The location is perfect. The service levels are very high. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. In particular, Monika and Besang in the restaurant, Sita and Binita for the cleaning service, and all the security staff. Overall, our stay here was very good. The breakfast is very good, with a nice variety. If I could suggest some improvements, it would be fresh pastries for breakfast and maybe some alternatives to cows milk such as oat or almond milk. The other thing is, the gym needs a total refresh. I recommend staying here. It is a very good offer overall. Thank you for giving us a pleasant stay."

"Absolutely amazing... Having a museum hotel like this in Kathmandu makes it feel like a real place... The service, food, and rooms were all superb. "★★★★★ I recently stayed at Hotel Barahi Kathmandu for 2 nights and 3 days during my trip to Nepal. To start with the conclusion, this is a hotel I would gladly stay at again. When I evaluate a hotel, I don't judge it solely on luxury or facilities. What matters most to me is how the people working at the hotel interact with their guests. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a very impressive hotel in that regard. From check-in to check-out, every staff member – at the front desk, in the restaurant, and from housekeeping – greeted me with natural smiles. It didn't feel like formal customer service because I was a 'guest,' but rather as if they were treating me as an individual. The hotel's location is also excellent. While it's within walking distance to the Thamel area, upon returning to the hotel, you find a calm space where you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a very convenient hotel for both sightseeing and staying. I also enjoyed breakfast every day. Beyond the variety of dishes, Nepali cuisine was also offered, which was great for a traveler like me to easily enjoy local flavors. On the other hand, there was noise in my room at night, and there was one day when I couldn't get enough rest. This was disappointing. However, what impressed me even more was the hotel staff's response afterward. They listened carefully to my concerns and addressed each issue without downplaying it. Their attitude conveyed a strong desire to 'improve the guest's stay.' During my travels, I pay close attention not only to the hotel's facilities but also to the people working there. No matter how grand the building, if the people aren't good, I wouldn't want to stay at that hotel again. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu was a hotel where I felt human warmth. Of course, there are always areas for improvement. But this hotel has an attitude of being willing to address those areas. That was of great value to me. That's why if I have the opportunity to visit Nepal again, I would choose this hotel once more. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to all the front desk staff, restaurant staff, and housekeeping who kindly assisted me during my stay. "I had a wonderful 8-day stay at Mercure Kathmandu Sukedhara Heights and it truly felt like a home away from home. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and consistent throughout my stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm and welcoming—perfect for both relaxing and unwinding after a busy day. A very special appreciation goes to the reception team, especially Alon and Shreesha. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, always greeting me with genuine warmth and taking care of any requests promptly and thoughtfully. Their kindness and attention to detail really made my experience stand out. The hospitality here is exceptional, and it’s clear the team genuinely cares about their guests. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again."

"The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are quite large too. Breakfast is mainly Western and Indian, and the taste is decent. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center, with many tourist attractions within 3km. The ground floor environment is also very good, with a large lawn and a big swimming pool (though I didn't see anyone swimming). The lawn area is lovely. Soundproofing is average, but everything else is good."

"This is definitely the first choice for business travelers in Kathmandu. Overall, it's very good. The only issue was that the desk in the room wasn't very functional for working. Another downside was that my flight turned back, so I missed a night, but couldn't get a refund."

"This was my third stay, and I was here for 7 days. I feel the restaurant service has declined, especially at the breakfast buffet. I noticed a slightly overweight waiter who seemed unfriendly towards Chinese guests, preferring to serve Indian guests instead. He ignored requests from Chinese diners and was overly attentive to Indian ones. The breakfast order and serving speed were slow; out of several days, I only got my ordered eggs once. Big thumbs down. The restaurant manager also seemed indifferent towards Chinese guests. I'm not sure why, especially since there were so many Chinese diners."

"I had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, historic building. Staff was attentive and kind. Adjacent to the hotel are nice restaurants (Nepalese, Indian and very fine French). I've made use of the small but practical gym, thereafter the sauna and finishing and cooling off in the outside pool.  Only 10-15m away from the airport (outside rush hours).  I'll certainly come again."
