Damai Lagoon Resort

The hotel environment give a feeling of privacy and higher standard than Damai Beach resort. They have special event on the 1st night of Gawai for all hotel guests which is very happening. The hotel provided toilet amenities such as shower gel and shampoo from Loccitane brand. Also there is complimentary pillow sleep which promote deep sleeps. The downside is the room is not clean. Maybe due to high occupancy and not enough time to clean thoroughly. There are spider web, dust on the glass cabinet, little cockroaches. Also, as advertise in Trip.com, they room is sea view, but I get the room with hill view (and limited ocean view)
Pullman Miri Waterfront

The first room assigned to us was filled with after smoking cigarettes coming from the bathroom. I have allergies on smoke and could not sleep the whole night and not able to change as it was fully booked. Request the change the next day, reception mentioned 10am and we requested the new room key sent to us as we had to move luggage’s. We were kept waiting for 40mins with 3 reminders to the front desk with each time informing us on the way which does not make sense. The lift and walk moves faster than 40mins.
Hilton Kuching

My recent stay at the Hilton Hotel Kuching was marked by its exceptional location and some notable features. Firstly, the hotel's strategic location near the waterfront and within walking distance of various attractions, including eateries, souvenir shops, and the famous ”kek lapis Sarawak” outlets, greatly enhanced my stay. This convenience was a definite plus. Upon my arrival at 4:00 pm, I encountered a small setback as the hotel was fully booked, and no rooms were available for check-in. However, the courteous staff at the reception counter promptly addressed the issue. They kindly requested a short wait while a room was prepared for me, and I was offered a welcoming drink at the lobby bar during this time. The lobby itself exuded a pleasant ambiance with ample lighting. I finally checked in at around 5.30 pm. The room I eventually occupied was delightful, offering cleanliness and orderliness. It appeared to have been recently renovated, as there was a faint smell of paint. A suggestion for the hotel could be to introduce pleasant room fragrances to alleviate this issue. The room featured a picturesque view of the Sarawak River, enhancing my experience. The bathroom was also clean and satisfactory. The breakfast options at the hotel were extensive, though I noticed a repetition in the menu during my 4-day stay. On the final day of my stay, I opted to have breakfast at a nearby kopitiam due to this repetition. I hope the hotel can introduce more variety into their breakfast selections. However, there were a few downsides to my stay. The hotel was undergoing renovations, resulting in limited room availability. Additionally, the gym was on the smaller side, and there was no sauna during my stay due to the renovations. Furthermore, only two elevators were operational for guests, which occasionally caused delays. Despite these minor inconveniences, the Hilton Hotel Kuching offers a fantastic location, comfortable rooms, and a courteous staff. Special mentions go to reception staff members Petros and Ivan, who were friendly, and Liz, who was particularly helpful and warm during breakfast service.
Sheraton Kuching Hotel

New hotel in Kuching, latest addition. Beautiful building architecture, the existence of Sheraton made Kuching city look stunning at night. I was at the hotel for a weekend team offsite meeting. All of the feedback I got from our colleagues from West Malaysia - the staff were warm and friendly. The food was nice, only feedback - the coffee served from the machine gets cold too fast probably due to the cold air-conditioning. Hopefully this hotel will improve further their services and stay on top of things!

We took the Executive Deluxe river view room, on the 16th floor at the Astana Wing. View was fantastic. Room was large, clean and comfy. No bath, just a shower stall which suited us just fine. Buffet breakfast was adequate, tasty, some menu items changed daily. However, what I liked most was the Roti Jala with its curries. You can dine al fresco with a nice view of the river. I will definetly stay here again

The front desk staffs was friendly, I saw the viral ”orange” cat outside the lobby when I was waiting for my room to be ready before check-in. Booked my room online but didn't expect the room was big and spacious for us. The room was clean and well managed by the housekeeping staffs. Whenever I go, the hotel staff greet us with a smiling face. I didn't booked for my breakfast but I have tried their meals during dinner with colleagues last January, the food was delicious. The fitness centre is accessable to guests at the room level. We went for a brief look to a great view at the indoor pool before check-out. Overall, the stay was great. Will come again for another stay.
Mulu Marriott Resort & Spa

Wow, wow, wow! A wonderfully warm and enthusiastic welcome from JJ on arrival at the Marriott began such a wonderful stay. JJ was also amazingly helpful in organizing tours within the National park. (Special thanks to Marc who shared our anniversary with his team.) Our room was available on arrival and stunning! Super comfortable and luxurious bed, large bathroom with separate toilet and shower plus lounge room (room 100). Large fluffy towels, iron, hairdryer, water, tea/coffee machine (including coffee capsules). The location of the room was right on the river and in close proximity (though no noise) to the restaurant and bar - perfect. Wifi is only available in the bar area. MCafe at the Marriott serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had a special anniversary dinner where the staff were simply amazing and we were treated! We loved sitting outside by the pool for dinner - a slight breeze, undercover and with a local bat or two circling- heavenly! On site at the Marriott is a large gym and Mandara spa - the perfect treat after a day trekking. Or you can just relax and swim in the Balinese style swimming pool (which my husband did). The Marriott shuttle bus (free) meets all flights and is also available to take you to the Gunung Mulu National when required (also free). There is also a small general store a 5-15minutes walk down the road which is reasonably priced. I’d highly recommend doing the Deer Cave and Lang Cave tour. I also did the Mulu Canopy Skywalk which I found hair-raising (like being on a rollercoaster you want to get off but the only way to get off is to finish). Tip: All Mulu National Park fees can be paid by credit card. 30MYR for a 5 day park pass PLUS any tours you do.
Miri Marriott Resort & Spa

The place is outdated and some rooms are not well maintained but it's clean. Staff is very accommodating but the management needs to upgrade their system and renovate the room. Some facilities are not utilised and the cafe at lobby price is ridiculous 🤣 RM40 for an Evian water.
