Excellent room. Really big with nice sitting area, balcony, good working desk. Also loved the bathroom. Had some problems getting the safe to work but eventually were fixed. There is not much micro economy outside and just one restaurant. I did manage to get Grab from the hotel. The hotel runs a great shuttle to Semarapura and Goa Lawah, it's free but you tip the driver and guide and pay for entry to the various sites. The spa area is nice but the treatment I had was not very good.

Thank you and wonderful job by you guys !! when I now see the pictures on my wall, I feel really happy and think that I've taken a good decision to choose you guys to capture our memories!!

Arriving at the hotel I immediately smelled the mould. The hotel is beautiful but smells. We were kindly received at the door, they picked up our luggage, and served us a welcome drink while we did the check in. I started to sneeze and my nose clogged so I explained I was allergic to dust and I would like a room with more sunlight and wind. When we entered the room the musty smell was unbearable. I immediately complained and they promptly found another room without carpets. I believe it was an upgrade. They also sent us an apology card with fruits and chocolates. Unfortunately, the new room was still smelly, not as smelly as the first one, but we accepted as we were super tired and didn’t want to wait any longer. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: Shower pressure was fantastic Breakfast was great, they had options like avocado toast, salmon bagel, burritos, and a variety of international options Bed was comfortable Swimming pool Temperature was perfect and the bar very convenient with great drinks Beach is clean and not crowded Sunset is beautiful The restaurants had a good environment and good food. A bit pricey, but overall worth it. Cons: Mould. This is actually the only reason I wouldn’t go back to this hotel. The smell is in the room and the entrance mainly. The rest of the areas are okay. This hotel was built in 1993, so I have to say that if it wasn’t for that, the hotel would be in amazing condition. Service by the pool was very slow, my husband tried to get a beer first thing when he arrived and only after calling the waiter twice they brought him the beer, but it was room temperature! 😞 Coconut water and beer were not cold, they actually offered ice, but it just made it watery and tasteless. Bike rental can only be used inside the hotel, and they don’t tell you that when you rent it. I tried to go out to cycle in the surrounding area and they didn’t allow me to go. After complaining, the charged me half price for the rent. I only used inside the hotel and at the beach in front of the hotel. Concierge service was very slow and inefficient. He didn’t have packages to offer, photos, or videos. Everything was searched on Google right in front of us. The only option given was a private driver that could take us anywhere we wanted to go. The problem is that we didn’t know the places, so we were expecting a better introduction to the island and the activities. We ended up doing our own research and hiring the driver. Transfer from hotel to airport costs 430,000 RP, but if you get a grab (similar to Uber/Didi) it will cost you less than 80,000 RP. Overall, the hotel is a good option if you can tolerate the smell. That’s the only reason I wouldn’t recommend it. Otherwise it was a great stay for the price.

The best hospitality and hotel design ever. It’s the perfect to be relaxed at hotel although accesses to places to visit are not so nice, you do not need to go out from this hotel if you want to enjoy staying at hotel.

I recently stayed at the Ramayana Hotel with a friend, and we had a fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the friendly and trustworthy staff who made us feel welcome. Our room was clean and well-maintained, featuring a comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. One small detail that stood out was the delightful scent of the soap provided—such a nice touch! The amenities were excellent, and we really enjoyed making use of them during our stay. Overall, we had a lot of fun and felt right at home. I highly recommend Ramayana Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
Maya Sanur Resort & Spa

Sanur
I have a lot to say. On the surface, Maya Sanur is really beautiful and appears to be in a good location, staff are attentive and kind - as long as nothing goes wrong you're fine. After staying a few days we inevitably ran into a few issues. This certainly has nothing to do with the hotel but it's important to consider. Sanur is in a part of Bali that is less touristy albeit still touristy and draws enough crowds that you'd think the beach was really inviting when in fact it isn't. Sanur beach is gravely and pretty unswimmable, lots of algae and low tides make it almost impossible to enjoy unless you wake up super early or swim later in the evening. The crowd that Maya Sanur attracts are mostly older, white foreigners and not the friendly ones. I'm white but even I was like, ”What am I doing here?” If you like being around unfriendly, snooty folks, this is your spot. The staff were mostly accommodating and incredibly kind until one morning I requested an umbrella be opened on the beach for sitting in the sun. I was told, and I kid you not, ”NO, we don't put those up.” I asked why they were on the beach if people don't use them. I was answered with, ”There is a breeze so we don't open them.” I then asked, ”When do you use them?” to which the staff member replied, ”In the morning.” This whole conversation was nothing short of ridiculous, given the price you pay to stay here and the fact that every other resort on the beach has their umbrellas open is absolutely laughable that this man gave me such a dumb answer. I decided once we were back in the room that I should share this concern with the front desk. They apologized profusely and when I was on the beach later that evening, an umbrella was up. So silly. Another sort of annoying issue, I booked an extra night, I asked the front desk first and they gave me an inflated rate, they encouraged me to let them know if I booked a room online, which I did, on their site for cheaper. I let the front desk know and they said ok. Sadly, my flight couldn't be altered and we never ended up staying but when I called to let the front desk know our plans fell through, they offered me zero refund and said, maybe you can come back in 6 months to stay with us again. I felt a bit disappointed in this given that I wanted to book directly with the front desk, maybe even getting a better rate, considering I'd already spent a ton of money with them the first 4 days we stayed. When plans fell through, I notified the hotel immediately, less than 24 hours after my new booking and they were unwilling to offer a refund for a room I would never even stay in. I guess what I learned is, Maya Sanur is pretty but business and money far outweigh service and true hospitality. With so many other resorts to choose from, I wouldn't come back based on these interactions. This is not a low budget hotel so you expect a certain type of customer service. It is clear that Maya Sanur wants to keep attracting the crowd they have so I will look elsewhere next time. It's just sad that small gestures could have gone a long way to leave a better impression and a more satisfying stay.

This kind of Southeast Asian style hotel room is totally unbearable 😂. We checked in at around 11pm. It felt like we were on a winding country road and arrived at a corner. The garden inside the hotel was nice. After entering, the room was also in the Southeast Asian religious style. Even the paintings in the room were stone elephants. There was a smell of Southeast Asian spices in the room. People who are not used to it should choose carefully. The hotel service was good. Even at such a late hour, there was still someone to take the luggage and explain patiently. However, the sanitary conditions and details in the room were not very good. The toilet and shower faucets were all rusted. There was a half-high wall separating the shower and the bathroom. If you look at the environment of the hotel, it's not bad, but the room is still a bit unacceptable for this kind of room with a religious color. The sanitary conditions and details need to be improved. After all, a place to rest is more comfortable with a clean and tidy sanitary environment.

Loved the interior of the room, very Balinese style room with a bath tub, the room size is good and very affordable.. hotel location other wise is really out of no where, not close to any restaurants or convenient store. Luckily we can order grab.. but still not much activity available in the hotel except for massage and spa, pool bar is not open, no one actually goes to the pool. It's near to nature so quite a bit of insects.. Staff and friendly and helpful.. There is only 1 restaurant and price wise is not cheap and food is not nice as well.. we were given bread and butter before our meal but even our butter is tasteless,unsalted.. the curry is very watery.. I guess after trying so many nice food around Asia, our taste buds can be quite picky so for the price paid, the food does not satisfy our desire for good food.

Staff are very friendly and tentative, great customer service. Nice comfy bed and the buffet breakfast is just your normal run of the mill, it was fine but nothing outstanding, ordered room service and the food from the restaurant was quite good also. I just found the room and the outsides of the building to be a bit thread bare, a little worn. The fridge in the room worked really well but it was sorted of just plonked in the middle of the floor between the lounge and dining areas, air con kept the rooms cool but was noisy in the living area (maybe just a bearing in the motor). I did enjoy my stay, just a bit pricey for what it is and I would stay again but I would be looking for a better deal than the last one I got, paid over 1k for the week for one person.
