"The Kempinski Hotel Yinchuan truly lives up to its five-star reputation. The rooms are spacious and bright, with excellent amenities, and the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are very convenient. The toiletries, bath towels, and hand towels were all impeccably clean, and the large bath towels were especially comfortable. The lobby is quite grand and impressive. The staff were all very welcoming, especially the gentleman at the front desk who checked me in. He was patient, thorough, and attentive. Since I'm older and have trouble sleeping, I requested a quiet room, and the staff member, whose name tag read 'Qiao,' arranged it perfectly for me. The baggage handlers in the lobby were also very friendly. The Kempinski's management is quite generous; I came back late one night and realized I'd forgotten to buy water, and the front desk immediately arranged for four bottles to be sent to my room. I'm truly grateful for that. The breakfast selection was also quite rich."

"This hotel is truly unique. Its rammed earth architecture blends seamlessly with the sand dunes, creating an exotic Silk Road vibe. The infinity pool, desert bonfire, and stargazing platform are all incredibly picturesque. Waking up to a sunrise over the sand sea and seeing the Milky Way at night offers an unparalleled luxury desert experience. There's a wide array of activities, like dune bashing and camel riding, which are both therapeutic and stress-relieving. It's fantastic for travel photography – absolutely stunning! The service is also impeccable. Our dedicated butler provided attentive support throughout our stay, available 24/7. We had car transfers for both arrival and departure, and upon check-in, we were greeted with refreshments and a travel guide. All our small requests were promptly addressed. The food was authentic and delicious, and the staff were gentle and polite, always helpful without being intrusive. It’s amazing to find such warmth and hospitality in the middle of a vast desert. Both the scenery and the service are top-notch; everyone, adults and children alike, had a wonderful time. Highly recommend! "This truly lives up to its reputation as Yinchuan's best five-star hotel. First, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, especially the bathroom, which was surprisingly large—it felt even bigger than the bedroom! The shower pressure was fantastic, and the toiletries were a British brand with a lovely, natural scent. The bedding was super comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. They even provided a capsule coffee machine with coffee capsules. The complimentary shoe-shining service was a thoughtful touch, and the in-room internet was fast and reliable. Secondly, the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of high-quality dishes. The Western pastry selection, especially the flaky croissants, was authentic and delicious. The live cooking stations for Eggs Benedict and egg white rolls are features you typically only find in top-tier five-star hotels. They also had freshly squeezed watermelon juice and rich, high-quality coffee. What really impressed me were the local Ningxia specialties in the Chinese section, such as Jinsi Sanzi, Tangmaya, Tangmaye, fried pastries, and mung bean cakes. The chef even enthusiastically introduced these local delicacies to me. And of course, there were other Ningxia specialties like lamb soup, lamb pies, beef buns, and goji berry yogurt—I was extremely satisfied. Finally, all the hotel staff provided excellent service, especially the housekeeping attendant on the day I checked in. This lady deserves special commendation for her thoughtful and warm service. The front desk even accommodated my request to keep a room key card, specially giving me a pristine commemorative card. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located near the Ningxia Museum. The JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan left a wonderful impression on me. Yinchuan truly is a beautiful and friendly city."

The hotel's location is superb, right next to a bustling shopping district, making it incredibly convenient for taxis, getting around, and visiting attractions. The lobby is clean and tidy, and the front desk staff, especially Karida, were incredibly friendly. Check-in and check-out were very efficient, with no waiting at all. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and all the toiletries were well-stocked. Hot water supply was stable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a completely undisturbed night's rest. The facilities were comprehensive, the hallways were clean and odorless, and the cleaning staff were very attentive. Overall, it offers great value for money. The environment is quiet and elegant, and the service is meticulous and thoughtful, making it perfect for both short trips and longer stays. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I'm back in the area, and I highly recommend it to friends visiting – it's a trustworthy choice!"

"The Desert Star Hotel is truly worth a dedicated trip, making it the best base for a family desert adventure in the Tengger Desert! The accommodation completely subverted my impression of a desert hotel. With its sealed, dust-proof design, the room was spotless. There was 24-hour hot water and soft bedding, making it comfortable despite the large temperature fluctuations between day and night. Toiletries and kids' slippers were all well-provided. There were plenty of activities for the kids: free sandboarding, dune walks, and a professional stargazing explanation every night. My child was fully immersed in the desert and starry sky, even seeing the Milky Way with their own eyes, which was incredibly rewarding. The biggest surprise was the complementary travel photography! The photographer was incredibly patient and great at engaging with children, gently guiding us throughout without forcing poses. The photos were taken during the golden hour of sunset, with endless yellow sand against the orange glow of dusk, creating an amazing atmosphere. The candid shots of family interactions, running, and watching the sunset were incredibly natural and heartfelt. The original photos were super clear, each one a precious souvenir, preserving our rare family desert memories."

"Our first night was in a capsule room, which was quite spacious and comfortable for adults, and the kids really enjoyed it. For the second and third nights, we moved to a different room. Half of the curtains didn't block out light, the toilet constantly ran 24/7, and the shower would suddenly turn completely cold every three minutes or so. It was really terrible; it might just be a hardware issue with that particular room."

"This hotel has some standout positives: 1. It's a relatively new hotel, so the facilities are top-notch and the decor is really tasteful. 2. The breakfast included in the package and the complimentary drinks were both great. The ginger-flavored soda was a particular highlight for me. 3. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming. When I couldn't find the car park upon arrival, the lady at the front desk gave me such detailed and patient directions, she was like a human GPS! However, there are a couple of downsides: 1. There's still a slight 'new renovation' smell in the room. It would be great if they provided an air purifier. 2. The laundry room management is a bit chaotic. My clothes were taken out of the dryer before they were even finished! I'd suggest putting up more prominent notices, installing a camera, and providing some clean laundry bags in the laundry room."

"Excellent and friendly service! Modern and clean hotel! We highly recommend this hotel. It’s modern and with spacious and clean rooms. And the staff is outstanding. We were very warmly welcomed by the staff and check in went super smooth. We got lots of information and it’s easy to communicate via the hotels WeChat. The staff didn’t speak so much English, but this was not any problem with translating apps and the translate function in WeChat. The staff felt us feel very welcome and they stood out as very professional and service minded. We have travelled a lot and the staff of Huanghe Xiyu hotel made a solid impression. The room was spacious and modern. It was very clean and nice. Good windows which could be opened. It also has mosquito nets. There were plenty water, a couple of complementary soft drinks and drip coffee and tea. Comfortable beds and several choices of pillows. The gym was also good. The breakfast was very good. Nice selections of diffferent items. Tasty and fresh. We enjoyed freshly made noodles and dumplings. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly and service minded too. Overall a very good experience which we do recommended."

"This hotel is very stylish. There's a large dressing mirror right after entering the room, which is especially convenient for someone like me who takes photos eight times every ten minutes [grin][grin][grin]. It's also very clean. If I had a photo of myself, I'd have put two of them in there (they're so photogenic). The room size is exactly the 40 square meters advertised online, which was perfectly adequate for a family of three. There's a small sofa, which the kids really love. What I love most is that it's not fully carpeted; only around the bed, the floor is otherwise, which makes it feel very clean. The service at this hotel is also a key factor that compels me to review it. I arranged a pick-up at the station two days before check-in, and the driver called me half an hour before arrival. The driver was a woman, but she was very steady and had excellent driving skills [strong]. The front desk staff was very friendly and proactive in checking us in. Later, when we were leaving, we had to check out later due to our schedule, and the lady was very helpful in extending our stay for free. Overall, this stay was a truly amazing experience! Highly recommended!"
