The location of the Hampton is ideal for entering the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Park as it is only a 10 minute walk away. The housekeeper helped us purchase tickets to the Park from the hotel with a discount, as well as provided us with a map and explained an ideal route. We were very impressed as he took the time to communicate with us via a translator. The hotel has a diverse breakfast spread and provides free water, fruit, and ice creams as well as a free laundry service which was very useful. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming for the National Park, make sure to check out the night market on the same street!

In October, the birthday month, the first stop was Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (there are no good hotels close to the door 🏨), the second stop was Tianmen Mountain, and the second stop was Wyndham Garden Hotel 🏨. My father was hooked on the first day he entered the door 😂 After booking, Miss Li Keyuan contacted me as soon as possible and gave me help. She helped during the stay and replied to the message very promptly. Thank you. Her timely response and enthusiasm for facing problems ❤ are one of the decisive factors for me to place an order. Warm and thoughtful service is always a plus 😄 I was lucky and encountered a newly opened store. I didn't smell the smell. I don't mind choosing a new store. I am confident in the quality control of chain stores. The whole house can only be great 👍. You can solve most of the problems with your mouth, which can improve your favorability. For me, it's best to have it, but it's okay if you don't have it, because the service is good and the store with good service is not smart. It doesn't matter. The hair dryer is Dyson, which is really a standard hotel feature. The rating is +1. Dyson products are still easy to use and suitable for people like me. They won't curl my hair. The entrance is an automatic door, decorated with beautiful flowers, and there is an electronic fireplace. There is a tea bar in the corner, which is free, but I ate too much recently and there is no space in my stomach, so I didn't use it. It's a pity. There is a cloakroom with different hangers. The room is spacious, clean, and well maintained. I could see the mountains of Zhangjiajie from my hotel room. The breakfast buffet was great and with plenty of choices. I stayed for 3 nights over Christmas at the W Hotel and it went above and beyond all expectations! From the sleek, modern design to the impeccably clean facilities. It felt very festive as windows and tables were adorned with delightful Christmas decorations, the highlight was the lovely pink tree on the first floor, it was super cute! The entire staff's commitment to ensuring my stay was exceptional deserves high praise. They catered to every need with a level of care and attentiveness that exceeded all expectations. Day 1: Lovely plate of fruit. Day 2: Cute knitted pouch with candy. Day 3: Xmas-plate of fruit and chocolate log. Plus a big shout out to Eric, who was super attentive and assisted in organising my Christmas Eve afternoon tea and the delicious 5-course Christmas Day meal. (It was pricey at 1288, but included the regular buffet, and a gorgeous red basket with gifts plus an oversized bag! So was worth it.) The bar/chill out area seems to be the hangout place. The energetic atmosphere on Christmas Eve was super cool. There was a runway showcasing several models and a cool DJ. It added an exciting vibe to the festivities, making the evening memorable. Furthermore, the huge swimming pool and changing room facilities felt luxurious, only thing missing was a jacuzzi, although sauna and steam room were great. Additional info: hotel is connected to the mall, line 2 metro is accessible via the mall which made is super convenient to travel around the city. Definitely recommend staying here! This W Hotel flawlessly combines luxury, sophistication, and a vibrant atmosphere, making it a standout hotel.

I booked twin room for my parents and they absolutely enjoyed their stay! So below is my parent's comments: - The location is prime, right in the center of Changsha, close to everywhere you want to go. - The room is nice and what surprised me is that it's river view even if the booking doesn't mention it. - Staffs are all very friendly and responsive - Good quality breakfast with lots of varieties - Club lounge serves good range of drinks and food too If I ever come to Changsha, I won't stay anywhere else but Grant Hyatt :)

Giving 5 stars because the lady from reception helped a lot in Wechat with park tickets and itineraries (all in Chinese, but wechat can translate). Location is the closest possible from park entrance. Breakfast had fried eggs at will and fried noodles, things usually western eat. Room air con is good, beds are good. Cleaning below the bad was terrible, and the rooms don't have mini fridge. But overall it's OK.

The ceiling of Changsha's hotel industry, and even the entire Hunan hotel industry, is Taishan Beidou level. We stayed in a suite. From check-in to check-out, it was a very pleasant experience. The 24-hour butler service was meticulous, luxurious hardware facilities and equipment, and complete supporting facilities made us feel at home. I have stayed in the St. Regis in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, and the St. Regis in Changsha is even better! Thanks to the hotel staff and the butler Ivy for their meticulous service throughout the whole process, helping us get a bubble bath, and then getting many free drinks, helping to get takeout, and carrying luggage. This time I brought my one-year-old baby to stay, and I also prepared toys, welcome fruits, a bathtub, a fence on the bed, etc. for the baby, and then there was a room card engraved with my wife and my name, which was very commemorative. But in order to make the hotel more improved, I would like to make a small suggestion: the Bluetooth speaker in the room is hidden under the TV. If you don't remind me, I really don't know. This should remind the residents. In addition, the buffet breakfast is a bit simple, and it doesn't even meet the standards of some ordinary five-star hotels, but the quality is okay. Overall, it is highly recommended! It will definitely be my first choice next time I go to Changsha!

The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Tinamen Mountain cable car (10 minute walk), and close to many restaurants. We got a room upgrade to a very big, comfortable and clean room. The breakfast is excellent, delicious traditional chinese cuisine. The hotel haas a travel agency (where we booked tickets to the national park saving us the lines), money exchange service and several grocery stores. Overall everything was good except for a very unpleasant interaction with the staff. We had an early train in the morning and we asked at the front desk to help us book a taxi in advance. The entire staff, none of them speaks english obviously, 5 people started to make fun of us in chinese for several minutes, eventually telling us to to catch a taxi on the road at 5 in the morning. What is so funny about asking the hotel staff to call a taxi? It was very humiliating, this hotel clearly does not care for its foreign guests. I've stayed in several hotels in China, never have I experienced anything similar. Additionaly, since we checked out before breakfast the hotel refused to provide us with any appropriate compensation, offering us a bottle of water and a piece of bread. Cannot recommend this hotel.

Hotel is on top of a fancy mall and near very popular shopping district, great location. Hotel is very new inside. it actually still had new renovation/construction smell when I stayed… A few points I noticed: - ventilation was not very good in the shower and bathroom, room AC was a little weak and noisy. - Bed was clean and comfortable - great and very effective blackout curtains. - good and modern in room amenities - a little bit strange layout - nice clean gym - nice staff - spacious room - Despite of the constant noise and traffic downstairs, it was very quiet on the 15th floor! (Except AC noise…) Cleanliness, convenience,service are important to me, I will stay here again next time I visit!

One of the best hotels we’ve stayed so far in China. The services are super good and professional. 小贺was the girl who checked us in and she was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great! If you have never been in a Chinese hotel breakfast, it’s not like anything in the US. YANNIAN has literally all options for you - Chinese traditional, western style, and even Hunan authentic style. We had the family room and our 4 years old loved it! Everything is just perfect for us! The afternoon tea is super nice, quiet and relaxing. You can sit on the couch and watch the entire city on the 26th floor. Also, the gym, my husband checked out the gym and it was good too! Highly recommend this hotel. But if you want to go to Wuyi Square, this place is pretty far. YANNIAN is close to the Changsha South train station. They have free train station pickup/drop off services. The driver was also really professional and good.

It was a pleasant stay. Live band was a highlight. The only mark down is that there isn’t clear separation of smoking and nonsmoking area in the bar. I was torn between wanting to enjoy the live band but want to stay away from second hand smoke.

Advantages: 1. The breakfast is very delicious, although there are not many varieties 2. Many things are provided for free: disposable underwear, makeup remover wipes, facial cleanser, water, makeup mirror, etc. This is different from other hotels, which is a plus 3. Although many hotels have good night porridge, other hotels basically have leftovers from breakfast, but this one is not, it is specially cooked for the evening, which is a plus 4. Xiaodu is available, which is very convenient. The advantage of professional chain hotels is that the details are well handled and the service is very good Disadvantages: 1. Because it has to match the overall decoration style, the lighting in the room is very dim 2. There is only one tissue, and it is recommended to add one on the sink 3. It is recommended to add a trash can under the table by the window 4. The travel photos provided are really hard to describe, hahaha, don’t say whether it looks good or not, they are all slanted

I booked this hotel for my mom since my husband and I stayed there a few years ago and had an amazing experience. However, she said that no one would speak to her in any English (when we were there, everyone was very helpful and the manager was foreign). She also had a bad experience with a massage she booked. She thought she could charge it to the room, but the woman demanded cash, then once she paid, wouldn’t let her out of the room until she gave an extra tip. Apparently that was the only word she said in English the whole time. I’ve never been expected to tip in China, so this seems like they’re taking advantage of foreign guests who may not know better. The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the national park, but the concierge tried to get her to take a taxi for way too much to a different gate. Luckily, she called me to ask if that was worth it and I told her, “no, don’t take a ¥50 taxi to another gate when you’re less than 1km from one of the main gates.” It just made her start to feel uncomfortable that everyone in the hotel was trying to trick her. It’s a shame because the hotel is lovely and the breakfast is actually quite good, which my mom said is still the case. But she had a very mixed experience where the hotel was great, but the staff didn’t make her feel well taken care of. Very different from my husband’s and my experience a few years ago.

Staff: they all were very friendly and helpful. They seem to make long hours. They were always there at breakfast (at 07.30h) and were still there after dinner (at 21h). Our host spoke decent English but not good enough to fully help us. Luckily, we used a translator to communicate back and forth which worked great. 5 stars for the staff!! Facility: didn't live up to our expectations. We had the basic room which was weirdly structured and didn't look as good as on the photos. We then got an upgrade, thanks to the staff, to a much nicer room. But even here the upkeep and quality was nothing close to what you expect from a 5 star hotel (or for the money you pay for a room). Examples: parts of the wall were painted in a different color, the door to the balcony had a small hole where insects could creep into, the matrass lay on the ground. The walls are very thin, so you hear lots of noise from outside. Breakfast was fairly basic. Decent enough to fill your stomach but not much too it. Location: super close to one of the entrances (a 4 min walk). From there shuttles are going to another location in the park. This worked very well. The village itself was (obviously) small and calm. There was a good coffee spot on walking distance (might not look like much but had great coffee). The scenery in and around the village is great. Beautiful mountains, some 'farm land' and seeing locals go about there business was nice. Conclusion: a bit disappointed on the quality for value ratio. Hopefully the staff doesn't get 'punished' for this review as this was definitely not their fault. They did everything to make it a pleasant stay for us

The hotel check-in experience is very good. Xiao Jin at the front desk is warm and thoughtful. The bedding in the room is very comfortable and the lobby is grand. Looking forward to seeing Zhangjiajie again next time

I rarely write the review, but this time I want to do it so much! It was better than 5* hotels that I’ve been too. (And I travel really a lot). The best hotel in my list. Hotel: it was super clean, nice, new, modern and cozy. I felt like I don’t want to leave. So warm. But the most important thing I’d like to mention is that people there are so hospitable and warm. Service is one of the best I’ve ever experienced. We arrived late so they gave us desserts and delicious snacks. They got our shoes to clean so we can wear them tomorrow. They were very attentive and helped us a lot. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and I will stay here again. Thank you so much.

The hotel is located near the Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain Cableway Company. It takes a few minutes to walk to the cableway station. The hotel room is warm and welcoming, the sanitation is very clean, the supporting facilities are complete, the front desk staff is warm and thoughtful and sends a car to the high-speed rail station to pick us up, and the hotel tourism department also provides tourist routes. My wife and I are old, they are very patient to introduce us to the route map of the scenic spot, let us worry and effort to visit all the major scenic spots in Zhangjiajie, the natural beauty and warm service are perfect combination! 👍

Great staff, friendly but professional. Especially thanks to those young ladies in Mao's costumes. They provided valuable information about how to make the most out of our time in Fenghuang Ancient Town, including the best time to see the night-time activities, and where to eat. One the the lady walked us to the stairs/walkway so we can walk to the Town. Before she turned back, she advised us to take a taxi to the hotel due to the walkway will to too dark to walk and unsafe. The room is big with an electric kettle but no tea bag or coffee provided. The breakfast buffet had variety with both Chinese and Western foods.

The hotel is close to the Fog bridge in the Fenghuang ancient city. My room has the river view and two balconies, which is excellent for night view of the city. The room is spacious enough for four adults, but needs to share for one bathroom. The breakfast buffet only offered a simple Chinese breakfast with limited varieties. The hotel room was quiet at night time. The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. The restaurant was excellent and offered authentic Hunan style food. Overall, this hotel experience was excellent.

If you are visiting Furong Town, this is the best hotel to stay in. First up, the hotel provides free pickup service from the railway station. Communication with the hotel staff via WeChat is seamless. The hotel is within a 3mins walk to the attraction entrance. The room itself is spacious and clean as shown in the picture. Only issue we faced was the weird design of the toilet and shower cubicle. The shower cubicle is too small and has no space to hang towel or clothes without wetting them. Overall still the best place to stay in my opinion within Furong.

Really nicely decorated hotel. Id say one of the best hotels in this region. Given only four stars as our room was quite strong with cigarette smell. We informed the staff about it and they said they would send someone to fix it. I think what they did was just opening the window which made it worse as the cigarette smell was stronger when we came back possibly because we were on the second floor and someone was smoking outside. We didnt bother to tell them again as it was late and we just wanted to sleep. There was also some sticky stain on the floor that we asked them to clean it but it was still there when we came back. Staff very friendly. A tea set is also provided.

A very beautiful hotel with lovely styled rooms and very helpful staff. Manager Wang's service was excellent. We had a language barrier but they still managed to arrange a pick-up and drop off to the high speed railway. The hotel is in a great location with a view of Fenghuang bridge from the room balcony. Unfortunately it is true what other reviewers say about the bathroom being poorly designed. Rather than a shower, it is a bath tub with a retractable shower head and water gets everywhere if you try to use it as a standing shower. It is also true that the noise from the streets, particularly the music from the bar next door, is very loud at night, but it stops at 23:30. However, we found these to be minor inconveniences in our stay, which was overall very romantic and hugely positive. We'd recommend this hotel to everyone.

I had two methods, hot pot and dry pot. The hot pot one was a bit similar to the crispy Anhui fish in Guangdong, and the dry pot one was more flavorful and fragrant. The breakfast was very nutritious, and there was also giant salamander porridge in it, which was very fresh and sweet. The itinerary for Saturday was to go rafting. There is a Mengdong River rafting nearby. I heard that it is the best rafting in the world. It is quite exciting. It is also my first time rafting. It is quite fun. I was a little tired after rafting. I lay down in the room to rest on Sunday morning. I also took a photo of the light and shadow. When I opened the curtains, I could see the endless green mountains. I planned to go swimming in the afternoon. There is also a very beautiful infinity pool in the second phase, but I made a mistake and forgot to put the swimsuit in the suitcase. I will make up for it next time. Cows and horses who are used to seeing high-rise buildings really love this original ecological environment and successfully get rid of the smell of work.
