Hotel Splendide Royal
4.4/564 Reviews
A luxury hotel with an ancient style, good maintenance in a public area, we stayed in the ancient building, a clean room but furniture needs updating. Breakfast is a wonderful meal but without vegetables, very limited for such a luxury hotel, the staff is great, we had dinner not so special for the prices.
Swiss Diamond Hotel & Spa

The room is very good, the room is facing the lake, the scenery is very good, but unfortunately there is no time. The most dissatisfied is the front desk clerk. I feel unfriendly to the Chinese and the tone is really hard. Is this a five-star waiter? ?
Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola

If you are booking a luxury hotel in Lugano, there is no other option for me. While it’s not right in the middle of the City, it’s in a nice and quiet area and the 10-15 minute walk to the city is great for settling the stomach after eating to much pizza. The grounds are simply stunning, the views are amazing, the breakfast buffet is not amazing but very good (Although the woman who seat you could smile a bit more, all the other staff at breakfast are great). The private Lido is awesome. I will never stay at another hotel in Lugano for our annual summer trip, it has won my loyalty for life.
Villa Principe Leopoldo - Ticino Hotels Group

Excellent in all! Absolutely wonderful location (only accessible with taxi) whether day or night! A wonderful DeLuxe room with sea view! The size, the materials of highest quality and finest design. Eat excellent in the Bistro, since full booked in the restaurant! Unfortunately only one night a.Gr. of much work also in Lugano (visit a super performance in the art and culture center). The fitness/sauna was unfortunately closed, but private spa was bookable before departure Sunday morning ... good alternative. The gardens around the sky! The team was super professional, extremely friendly and helpful. Good and dream of my next visit to Villa Leopold ...Heartly recommended for enjoying the fine and good ... Denise Worlds in Zurich
The View Lugano
4.5/539 Reviews
The Hotel is situated in the middle of Paradiso Park, south of Logano, with a splendid view of the town and Lake Lugano. The rooms are nice and spacious with modern furniture and lighting management system, etc. The restaurants consist of a brasserie and a Michelin-level restaurant, which are handled by a service-minded and professional staff. The reception works fine and handles all our requests for boat trips, hiking, trains, and use of electric cars (Smart)/bikes that are a part of the hotel amenities without a separate charge. There is a big garage for cars beneath the hotel, which came in very handy upon our arrival from southern Frace as northern Italy suffered its worst hailstorm in centuries. We were very happy about the spa section, which we used several times.
Villa Orselina - Small Luxury Hotel

Orselina
Villa Orselina is an SLH gem. The rooms and suites are lovely - serene decor, king sized bed, terrace with magnificent view, excellent shower, Nespresso coffee maker and lots of little extras. The spa facilities are relaxing (and massages were excellent), the pool and grounds are stunning and give many comfy places to relax in sun or shade, the fragrance of flowers everywhere is delightful, and of course there’s the incredible lake-and- mountains view and wonderful cuisine. The fitness room is well equipped, although a little crowded with equipment…but you get to work out with “the view” and can open the large window wall for fresh air. The hotel staff was so welcoming and helpful (especially with planning the next day’s activity), and everyone in the hotel and restaurant provided an exceptional level of service. There is so much to do in Ticino, while still experiencing il dolce far niente. Absolutely love it here - we have been to Villa Orselina 3 times and look forward to coming back again. (We opt for half-board and are always wowed at dinner - gourmet dining that isn’t stuffy thanks to the hospitality of the restaurant manager and staff, and the chef is excellent (well deserving of the 15 Gault Millau points).)
Delta Resort Apartments

Resort Collina d'Oro Agra
4.2/523 Reviews
When you see the beauty of this resort, you expect a unique up-to-standard experience. And then you get there, most of the staff will be very nice. And then everything else falls short. We drove an hour and a half from Milan to get to this place. The photos and display online showed that it was worth it. The pool area is fantastic. The view from up top is superb. And then you get to your room, and you’re thinking “this doesn’t feel like a $350 per night kind of room 🤔”. We call downstairs asking to get something to eat. And there it goes, the horror story of Italian Villa type hotels: kitchen hours. You don’t make kitchen hours you don’t eat. Period. But you’re thinking “when a hotel gives itself a 5 star rating, isn’t it required to serve food 24/7?”. Anyway, “kitchen is closed” was the imposed reality. So we had to wait. Dinner time came, we were tired so we asked to order to the room. Now I’m all for a luxury resort charging me high for fine dining. But I got 4 raviolis, and a small portion of what was supposed to be risotto, but that looked like army rice swimming in a lot of liquid, with lumps of something on top. The raviolis tasted bitter, and the risotto was simply repulsive. And they priced those at around $80. Please look at the photos and see what I mean. At breakfast, where the staff were more than courteous, we then discovered that the kitchen was indeed sub-standard at this place. The food items were okay. Budget hotel level okay. But that is not good enough for a resort at this price, is it? I mean for me to have a mini croissant and not have another, tells you something about how not that great they are. Same goes for the cakes etc. Sub-standard. We ended up returning the food and ordering a cheese sandwich and fries. Which we then had for lunch the next day, because, we arrived to the restaurant 6 minutes after “kitchen closed”. Even the fries were not great. Can you imagine a kitchen screwing up on fries? On the third day we had an emergency back home so we had to leave. We asked them to cancel the third night, and we were going to leave at 9am which is way before checkout time. They refused. We then asked to pay half a room rate as penalty, but the full rate was too much. Especially that we had stayed two nights already. They refused. And so we got charged $350 for a night we didn’t use. I believe that this hotel was beautifully designed, then handed over to management (or the owners themselves) that is not fit for such premises. And cannot hold the required standard. What a disappointment.
Swiss Hotel Apartments - Lugano

Perfetto !!!!! La posizione è fantastica vicina al lungolago e al centro. L’appartamento inoltre è bellissimo e molto luminoso ed è ancor meglio dal vivo che dalle fotografie. Nuovo e curato in ogni dettaglio.
