"The room decor was a bit dated, but the staff were excellent and the environment was lovely. The hotel boasts a variety of restaurants, including a burger fast-food joint, an Italian restaurant, an Indian restaurant, a buffet, and a Bengali seafood grill market, which was great. The airport shuttle service was a major plus. However, a small incident during my stay left me a bit perplexed. When I checked in the night before, I mentioned to the staff that I had a 7 AM tuk-tuk booked for a 'moon boat' tour the next morning and asked if breakfast started before then. The next morning, I woke up to find a hotel notice slipped under my door informing me that my dining had been upgraded to the Indian restaurant, and breakfast started at 8 AM. When I went down to the buffet restaurant, the manager on duty informed me I couldn't eat there and escorted me to the Indian restaurant. After I explained that I needed to leave by 7 AM, he reluctantly allowed me to eat in the main breakfast area, but only from the dessert section. Honestly, it's hard to describe how I felt about that experience."
