Join us for a bicycle ride! The most FUN way to beat the heat is a night ride. Join the lit-up crew as we explore iconic locations and undiscovered neighborhoods in Pasadena under the stars! Saturday, August 24th: The Grand Tour This ride will tour restaurant districts of Pasadena & South Pasadena, and will highlight some connections between the two cities, including a trip along the full 2 miles of Grand Avenue. The ride will end at the Dog Haus restaurant in Old Pasadena, where you are welcome to stay and have a post-ride snack. The ride will be 11 miles with 480 feet of elevation gain at a social pace. You can expect a pace that is comfortable for most adults with plenty of lights and music. We will be riding at night, so both front and rear bike lights are required. This event is organized jointly by South Pas Active Streets and Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition. Recommended items to bring: BIKE LIGHTS, water, a spare tube, tire levers, bike multi-tool and pump. Helmets are encouraged and required for riders under 18. A limited number of bike lights are available for loan. Notes: You MUST sign a waiver when you arrive. Helmets are required by state law for anyone under 18. No training wheels permitted. Children riding on their own should remain with parents at all times, have experience riding with a group, and be able to average 12 mph. Younger children and/or pets are welcome so long as they are riding safely in a trailer, on a family cargo bike, etc. **INCLEMENT WEATHER CANCELS.
