A Night of Shorts is a curated evening of short films made by women. After three previous events at The Social in London, A Night of Shorts comes to Dublin for its fourth iteration. Curated by London-based producer Masha Thorpe and Irish filmmaker Marion Bergin around the theme of GAZE. How it affects or shapes spaces, orders, strips, conceals, or reveals. Unusual ways and forms looking, being seen - or not - being looked at too much or not enough. Puzzles, and mazes, searching for lost objects or attempting to remember them in your mind’s eye. Exciting work from new, emerging and established filmmakers. Come watch, bring your ma, your da, bring yourself just for the joy of it! Screening will be followed by DJ performance from Irish female collective Foxglov, with chats until late! Open bar sponsored by Jameson.
