Learn the art of creating botanical masterpieces at the upcoming event, "How to Create Botanical Art," taking place on April 5, 2024, at Lyon Arboretum in Honolulu. Participants will have the opportunity to craft stunning works of art using natural elements like seeds, leaves, and pods. While some materials will be provided, attendees are encouraged to bring dried natural materials such as seeds, leaves, flowers, and more from their surroundings to infuse personal connections into their creations. This hands-on class will showcase how beauty can emerge from the most unexpected sources, celebrating nature's diversity.
The event will be led by esteemed members of The Garden Club of Honolulu, Pat and Margaret. Margaret, a Master Gardener at the University of Hawaii, has garnered numerous accolades for her work, while Pat, a key figure in the Washington Place Foundation, focuses on the preservation and exploration of Queen Liliuokalani's gardens. Participants are advised to bring dried plant materials, comfortable attire, bug spray, and other essentials for an enriching experience. Embrace nature's wonders and unleash your creativity in this unique botanical art workshop. Admission is priced at $30 for this engaging and educational event.
