The 12 th annual CCO Oregon Conference is on Monday, October 6 . We're excited to welcome attendees in person at the Salem Convention Center for this full-day event. Oregon is a national leader in coordinated care and Medicaid, and we need to come together now more than ever. CCO Oregon’s annual conference focuses on the systems and innovation needed to maintain high quality health coverage for the one in three Oregonians that rely on the Oregon Health Plan. Concurrent sessions: The conference agenda includes both morning and afternoon concurrent sessions with leaders from across the coordinated care system discussing pioneering projects and programs. Plenary sessions : The agenda will also include plenary sessions discussing emerging health care opportunities and challenges. We expect 400 professionals and advocates from across coordinated care to attend the conference. Our audience includes representatives from CCOs, provider organizations, behavioral and oral health partners, hospitals, clinics, and community-based organizations with a shared interest in driving health care transformation. Climb aboard Naumkeag , Essex Heritage's landing craft for a trip to Bakers Island Light Station. Enjoy a 30-minute cruise from Salem past rugged coastline, harbor islands, and five lighthouses to Bakers Island. The light station is a 10-acre property that has been in use aiding in maritime navigation for almost 250 years. The site features an 1820 light tower, two keepers houses, and historic trails. During your visit you will have the chance to explore the natural landscape, walk the trails, learn about the history of the light station, or just relax on the island setting. Please Note: The lighthouse cannot be climbed at this time. The rest of the island aside from the 10 acre Light Station is privately owned and all visitors must stay within the 10 acre boundaries. Guests will not be permitted to visit the Assistant Keeper's House; that is only accessible to Essex Heritage Members who have booked an overnight stay. Gearing up for Spring and Summer classes, we are now running Paint Night TWICE a month at Willamette Valley Smokehouse. This venue is like no other, you do not want to miss it! Willamette Valley Smokehouse has a unique atmosphere, offering comfort and entertainment for everyone. What makes it so special? Well, the whole venue is outside! Our class takes place in one of the two tents, complete with large propane heaters. There are several fire pits with sitting areas, as well as an additional tent with two flatscreens! Stationed all around the venue, the kiddos might also find tons of large yard games. Dinner tonight is obvious - Order from the foodtruck loaded with smoked meats and bbq style sides. Want to compete while supporting a great cause? Enter your team and get ready to compete! All athletes ages 14+ are invited to participate! We will have a Women's Bracket and a Co-Ed Bracket, and we're excited to crown this year's champions. Teams may consist of 6-8 athletes. All Co-Ed teams must have at least two female athletes on the court at all times. Team registration fee is $200 (~$25/person). Rent a mooring off of Bakers Island Light Station. Moorings are located on the northwest side of Bakers Island off the stone beach. Day trips ashore are allowed provided boaters sign-in with on-island volunteers stationed at the Light Station. The 10-acre light station is open for walking or swimming off the beach; the rest of the island is private and does not allow visitors. Overnight camping is available for an additional fee by visiting Hipcamp listing here. Check-in for the mooring is between 12:00 noon and 6PM. Guests renting the mooring must call or text the Bakers Island Light Station caretakers the estimated time of arrival on their way to the mooring (phone number will be provided after booking). IMPORTANT INFORMATION IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO COME ASHORE: When arriving at the mooring, RENTERS CANNOT LEAVE THEIR BOAT UNTIL THE CARETAKERS ARE ON THE BEACH READY TO RECEIVE THE DINGY AND THE GROUP. Failure to notify the caretakers of your arrival PRIOR TO LANDING on the beach could result in notification to the Salem Harbormaster. The Bakers Island Homeowners Association takes their privacy very seriously, and Bakers Island caretakers must vouch for legitimate guests of Essex Heritage before landing. THE NAMES OF ALL GUESTS WHO ARE COMING ASHORE MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE CARETAKERS. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO LAND ASHORE AFTER 6PM . There are no exceptions. Late arrivals will need to stay on their boat until 8AM the next morning . The Bakers Island caretakers must be contacted regarding arrival prior to landing on the beach. DINGHIES ARE REQUIRED to get ashore. All mooring renters must have their own dinghy to get ashore. If they do not have their own transportation from boat to beach, they will not be able to land.
