Baxter Community Service Scholarship and support our ongoing mission to uplift students in our community through education.

Peggy Baxter is a respected and devoted community leader from Greenville, South Carolina. She is the immediate past chair of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity Greenville and formerly served as Vice President for Community Health and Ambulatory Services at the Children’s Hospital Research and Medical Center in Oakland, California. A deacon at Long Branch Baptist Church, Mrs. Baxter has also held numerous leadership roles in civic and service organizations throughout Greenville. A proud graduate of Sterling High School, she went on to earn degrees from Hampton University and the University of Denver. Mrs. Baxter is a Lifetime Member of the National Council of Negro Women and was honored to spend time with the late Dr. Dorothy Irene Height, who served as NCNW’s National President for four decades.

Our State Park Explorer Camp is the perfect opportunity for young adventurers to immerse themselves in the beauty and diversity of our state's natural landscapes. Over five exciting days, campers will:

Taught by JoAnn Frost. The cost is $55.
Adult beginner friendly. The student will learn how to: score and break glass, use a wet grinder, foil using copper foil, solder, and finish off the window with cleaning techniques.
You Pick! This class is full of pattern choices. The student can pick one pattern and let their imagination fly. Patterns to choose from are: Dragonfly, Butterfly, Hummingbird, Monstera Leaf, or Heart w/bevel center.
*There will be prolonged standing and glasses, or safety glasses (provided) will have to be worn at all times. Please wear closed-toe shoes.*
