Johnanna Grawunder's large-scale, international public lighting and color installations are only one aspect of her diverse scale of work. For Johanna, the initial creative spark of a design is ignited and influenced by the design brief , design intent and collaboration, but the process of refining, telling the story and the making of the object is layered in light and technology–resulting in a body of work that blurs the line between art and design for users to see, touch and experience. Trained as an architect, Johanna will walk us through the complex process of the design, engineering, making and installation of her work which spans decades and continents with large scale installations, lighting design, interiors, and unique commissioned pieces. The Bad Donkey Run 5K/10K/13.1 SAN FRANCISCO event in San Francisco will take place at Crissy Field on November 30, 2024. The run is expected to be popular, with limited spots available.
