Uncovering this remarkable woman's legacy was no easy feat, but thanks to the discovery of an announcement within the depths of the Folkestone Library's archives, her story can finally be told. Dr Baker's talk will delve into the history of Sarah Baker's Bayle theatre, as well as the four other grand theatres she built in Kent during the late eighteenth century.
