The National Gallery of Victoria presents NGV Teens: Bracelet Beading (Gladstone Park), a captivating school holiday workshop designed for youth aged 12 and above. Collaborating with talented artists and designers, the NGV aims to ignite the imagination and inspire creativity in young minds. The workshop features Melbourne-based fashion designers and sisters Fatuma and Laurinda Ndenzako, founders of the slow fashion label, Collective Closets. Their designs, which pay homage to the African continent, showcase vibrant prints and classic cuts, celebrating the skilled artisans who bring each thread to life. In this meditative and engaging activity, teens can gather together to create their very own colorful beaded bracelet, a keepsake to treasure or gift to a loved one. Due to limited supplies, bookings are essential. Make sure to secure your spot by booking one ticket per young person aged 12 and above. Tickets for the school holiday workshop will be released at 11am on Saturday, December 16. NGV Kids on Tour is proud to be an initiative of the National Gallery of Victoria and extends its sincere gratitude to Officeworks, the event partner, for their generous support of NGV Kids exhibitions and programs.
