Create your own Comic!
Calling all kids who love to draw and create stories and comics! In this camp, professional cartoonist Mister Smart will share the skills of making your own comics. He will guide campers through the entire process, including character design, story creation, drawing techniques for backgrounds, page layouts, dialog, and more. Although the skills campers will practice are real, the camp itself is not a class! It's a fun week for kids who love art and storytelling, and includes break times for snacks and outdoor play. At the end of the week, campers will take home with their own graphic novel or comic!
Campers can find inspiration for their artwork in the historic James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home, and its large collection of nineteenth-century illustrated books and magazines. They will head "behind the ropes" and enjoy special access to the different rooms and handle some of the 100 year-old books from our extensive library.

Who is Mr. Smart?
Josh Smart has been a professional cartoonist in Indianapolis for 23 years. He works with the Indiana Pacers & Fever drawing mascot cartoons for their kid’s club programs as well as caricaturing at their home games. Previously, Mr. Smart was an art director at a marketing firm working with clients such as Pepsico, The American Red Cross, Hardee’s, Kroger, Subway, Frito Lay, & many more. Recently, Mr. Smart started guest teaching with Professor Watermelon (aka. Chadwick Gillenwater) and fell in love with the creative energy the kids bring with them to class every day. Mr. Smart is now a cartoonist, caricature artist, art director… and a teacher of cartooning and comics for after school clubs and summer camps!

NAYC25 EVENT REGISTRATION INFORMATION
All NAYC attendees must register at

. Registration includes a badge which allows access to all sessions in both the Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indianapolis Convention Center.
-Event registration will be available on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM CST.
-Online registration ends Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM CST.
-Onsite registration will be available starting Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
-Friday Only registration will be available after the evening service Thursday, July 24, 2025.
-Onsite registration will close Friday, July 25, 2025, at 7:45 PM.
Badges can be picked up onsite for anyone living outside of the USA.
Here are a few important details to assist you in registering for NAYC25:
Please be aware, you will be required to provide your Hotel Block Confirmation Number, Reservation Acknowledgement Number, or Exemption Number provided from Connections Housing in order to complete your registration. This number will be assigned once you have booked your hotel through Connections Housing or once you are approved for an exemption.
RESERVED SECTIONS
One of the challenges for groups that attend NAYC is locating a seat in the stadium for services. We are piloting a test plan that would offer leaders an opportunity to register for a reserved section within Level 100 on Monday, February 17th at 6:00 PM CST during NAYC Event Registration as you would any level. When you arrive at NAYC25, your group would select and occupy their number of registered seats within the reserved section within Level 100. While the individual seats may change for a group during the event, they would have seats in their reserved section for all of NAYC!
This is how the reserved sections will be. Instead of trying to find a seat amongst 10,000 people, you will only have to try and find a seat amongst up to 600 people in your reserved sections.
The Reserved Sections on the map and Reserved Section badges will be one color, but NAYC25 Event Registration offers you the exciting opportunity to sit within one of the 8 reserved sections.

What is included?
Each registration badge allows access to all general sessions in the Lucas Oil Stadium and all split sessions in the Indianapolis Convention Center. Only registered attendees who show their badge will be allowed into the general and split sessions.

How do I transfer my NAYC registration?
NAYC registration badges can be sold directly to another individual or group. It is the ticket buyer's responsibility to transfer the physical badge to the new individual/group. They must have the badge in order to enter the stadium. If they do not have a badge, they will be required to register at the $85 onsite registration rate or $105 reserved section rate.
Pictures of the badge or code on their phone will not be acceptable. A copy of the Eventbrite confirmation email or "printable ticket" will be required to purchase replacement badges.
Is there a per service registration rate?
We are offering one-day, onsite registration for Friday only for $60. These tickets will be available at the Registration Booth after the Thursday evening service and ending prior to the Friday evening service.
Will the doors be open to the general public during the evening services?
No, you must be registered to enter the split sessions and general sessions.
When will I receive my badges?
For anyone who registers on or before June 17, 2025

your badges will be shipped to the address listed on your registration form starting at the end of May. For anyone who registers on or after June 18, 2025, you will need to pick up your registration packets during the on-site registration period on Wednesday, July 23rd starting at 12:00 PM.

NAYC25 EVENT REGISTRATION INFORMATION
All NAYC attendees must register at
www.northamericanyouthcongress.com
. Registration includes a badge which allows access to all sessions in both the Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indianapolis Convention Center.
-Event registration will be available on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM CST.
-Online registration ends Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM CST.
-Onsite registration will be available starting Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
-Friday Only registration will be available after the evening service Thursday, July 24, 2025.
-Onsite registration will close Friday, July 25, 2025, at 7:45 PM.
Badges can be picked up onsite for anyone living outside of the USA.
Here are a few important details to assist you in registering for NAYC25:
Please be aware, you will be required to provide your Hotel Block Confirmation Number, Reservation Acknowledgement Number, or Exemption Number provided from Connections Housing in order to complete your registration. This number will be assigned once you have booked your hotel through Connections Housing or once you are approved for an exemption.
RESERVED SECTIONS
One of the challenges for groups that attend NAYC is locating a seat in the stadium for services. We are piloting a test plan that would offer leaders an opportunity to register for a reserved section within Level 100 on Monday, February 17th at 6:00 PM CST during NAYC Event Registration as you would any level. When you arrive at NAYC25, your group would select and occupy their number of registered seats within the reserved section within Level 100. While the individual seats may change for a group during the event, they would have seats in their reserved section for all of NAYC!
This is how the reserved sections will be. Instead of trying to find a seat amongst 10,000 people, you will only have to try and find a seat amongst up to 600 people in your reserved sections.
The Reserved Sections on the map and Reserved Section badges will be one color, but NAYC25 Event Registration offers you the exciting opportunity to sit within one of the 8 reserved sections.

The event will include a networking reception from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a moderated session with Mayor Brandon Sakbun, who will candidly share stories of his leadership journey.
Brandon Sakbun is a lifelong Terre Haute native and currently serves as the 43rd Mayor of the city, making history as its youngest mayor to date. Born and raised in Terre Haute, he graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Indiana University. During his time at IU, he was a distinguished graduate of the Army ROTC program. He also holds a master’s degree in public affairs from IU’s O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
In 2018, Brandon joined the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant and eventually rose to the rank of Captain in the Army Rangers. He continues to serve as a member of the Indiana National Guard.
As mayor, Brandon focuses on growth, economic development, and improving the quality of life in Terre Haute. His leadership reflects a commitment to moving the city forward while honoring its history.
